  3. Jip. The grass is at its greenest in your own backyard bru. Play the cards that you were dealt. Unless you have kids and looking for a potentially more stable future for them. Moving abroad means having to be dealt a new set of cards to play with. It's a gamble. Maybe one day i'll get outa dodge when Elon makes interplanetary transport available for us humans. For now. Give thanks and enjoy the moments. It's all that we have. Jah Bless!

  4. 200 R for a seed is just to much for most SA growers. Most, I mean 99.9% ^^ So those seeds sit around a long time... if you buy expensive genetics.. OK.. is just mid range would see to get it directly.. not for the cheaper price.. more for seed freshness. The older the seeds.. the less unlikely they sprout. I had 3 year old Dutch premium genetics... just germinated them... 5 critical autos, 5 GSC autos. 4/5 critical sprouted... 0/5 GSC, same plate, same climate conditions. Just looked at a clone cutting ^^ 10k$US.. so over 190'000 Rand no worries.. just looking hehehehe

  5. Also more thinking to leave... as sad as it would be... but when you spin the 'nearly no power' for weeks a bit further, things start to look rather bleak. If I can bridge is one thing, what does the supermarkets and shops in need for constant cooling do? Food prices will explode with 24/7 diesel backup. I see things going south very very hard... so please, if somebody has some killer arguments to stay, would love to hear them. I try to convince myself very hard not to leave... failing so far.

  7. Sorry I missed this one. I had both types of aircon. The portable is a waste unless its' a "dual hose model" which is more expensive than a split unit, very inefficient. And yes, expanding foam is very expensive...not a option

  8. Yes same like what you would refer to as a "lung room". Aircon with resolve both high humidity and temp issues. With summers low humidity...you can either just add a bucket of water in the space or the more expensive option of a actual mister or humidifier. Myself moving from a 2.4 x 1.2 tent in a double garage to a 60x60cm tent in a spare room it can get tricky with either one having it's own extremes. *Humidity. My experience in CPT. Further north it's the opposite humidity and season-wise.

  9. That is true yes didn't think of that so aircon it will have to be then.I understand now what you mean control the temperature in the structure and it will control the temp in the growspace except fir humidity or do I have it wrong. Thanks alot bro i appreciate it really.

  10. All the above will help except the foam might not work because you will still be pulling hot air from outside or inside the structure

  11. Lol that shaded cloth idea is a no go lol was thinking more of integrating something into the structure.

  12. You 100% correct. Cavity wall would have been 1st prize. Your main concern is summer. Now in winter you wont have an major issue you can't fix but summer is going to be your headache. If you are able to get a airconditioner you won't need any insolation because you will have a heater, cooler and dehumidifier in one. Or you can go ape shit on the shade cloth and cover the whole structure including roof. I know someone that did this with their single garage, it looked ugly but it worked. The structure itself is going to dictate your grow space conditions to a certain point.

  17. "Hope this video does not give you incentive to run to the nearest grow shop and grab some aminos just to go add it to your regime" - Actually, that's what I am trying to avoid. "Hell yeah bud, nice to see you studying the right stuff" - I like to dig deeper into rabbit holes to see where and how they all connect and correlate, there are so many ways that "lead to roam" that I would watch multiple videos, read articles, etc on the same subject and as they branch out to what I feel is relevant to what I want to or in some cases, need to know. I never knew that terpenes in plants 'communicate' to each other through all the processes happening in soil, the balance of bacteria and fungus etc. So, thanks for directing me deeper into that direction. Still very much into the rabbit hole, I just wish I had more time., lol don't we all, but I am truly fascinated with this micro universe in the soil. "All those 'science' clips you get on YouTube... they are more for the freaks." Information is everywhere and when a person is looking for direction, information is where to start, verifying the info is second. Multiple sources has always worked for me. I know not everything you hear is factual and sometimes not relevant, or even applicable, but I try to learn from others' experience and discoveries, mistakes and successes, the dynamics of most scenarios are so interchangeable, so I understand to take most advice with some salt. As always, your inputs are appreciated. Happy Growing.
