  1. Howzit okes. I thought I would revive this thread abit as it's been over a year since I've posted. I have still been growing, but haven't been recording. There have been a few ups and a few downs. A few upgrades here and there. I've learnt to take it easy when it comes to adjusting anything. Often drastic changes can harm your grow. So the one upgrade I am really stoked about are the autopots. In the 1.2x2.4 tent I used to use 8x20L fabric pots. The runoff was ridiculous and the amount of water runoff I vacuumed was ridiculous. Now I've switched over to 6x15L autpots. Yes yes, I know what you're thinking. What about the yield? Surprisingly enough the yield was more on my last run (1st autopot run) than any other run. This is also excluding air domes at the bottom. Just leca. The air domes are the newest upgrade but haven't flowered in them yet. Will see the results in the next 2 or so months. Overall the autopots have been a fantastic addition and has reduced the amount of work a huge amount. Also using less nutrients. I made sure the cleanup was on point. This also reduced the amount of trimming I had to deal with and even better.....0 fluff. I repeat. Not a single drop of fluff. The numbers that came out were ridiculous. I have over 1kg of smokeable product. Obviously it is shared amongst a couple of us but what a take. I checked up on the roots and they looked pretty good to me. Nice and fully developed, and this is without the air domes. I'm very curious as to how much more I would yield with the air domes. I've checked online and the number being thrown around is that you will yield 130%. Now I don't quite know how to read that percentage but what I suspect is they estimate 30% on top of what you would get without them. Please correct me if I'm wrong. So basically. What they're saying is if I got 1kg I could get 1.3kg next? Sounds nuts. But let's see. I have also been thinking hard about adding bloom booster lights to the existing setup. Basically 240w on top of the existing 960w. That would put me up to 1200w and that would also increase yield. I can't imagine more than what I got but hell, let's see where this road goes. Please excuse the mess of a write up. I smoked some of the examples above and am struggling to stay focused. Please feel free to ask if I've missed anything. The strains weren't specific strains but some cuttings from a friend. The one that faded nice and dark purple yielded the most. I'll post the numbers below. Purple = 567.4g total Prime nugs: 232.2g Medium nugs: 175.4g Popcorn: 159.8g Green = 523.3g total Prime nugs: 189g Medium nugs: 172.3g Popcorn: 162g GRAND TOTAL: 1090.7g Basically. 2x480w LED lights, 6 autopots, T.A tripart, coco/perlite (bioleaf). Thanks for watching.

  2. And a little update. Could harvest the full no pot tray and the result, for mostly stage 6 flowering, Okisch. The Hella Jellies are also flowering.. but not sure they are done end June.. that is when they would hit 7 weeks flower... and again.. stage 6 most of the time. Ginger Tea (Left undressed, right dressed) Very smooooooooooth.. zero throat irritation.. tastes like Ginger Tea, hence the name The Hella Jelly's are mid flower.. after schedule they reach end June 7 weeks flower.. and that should be it.. but they also endured stage6 for most of the grow. Don't think they are done end June.. or they would do a miracle transformation the next 3 weeks Didn't put em in the sun as they have dark right now, just cleaned out quick for the picture. Right now I do not care to much.. I decided to leave and not find out what stage 16 will do to a country. So not in a good space... rather sad.

  4. The last medical seeds i purchased (Charlottes Web) were just junk seeds (10$ a bean junk seeds). As it was for a person with epilepsy, i got it tested to be able to mix the right concentration.. is how I found out I got sold junk. Had more THC then CBD and was declared with <1% THC. What ever you buy and want to use as medical application... you MUST get tested. As seeds look the same and people usually don't test what they grow.. the medical seed market is totally fucked up. I remember that I must have made a rather stupid face when the guy told me that the concentration i washed had 37% THC and 29% CBD.. totally useless junk.. really totally useless I wrote the seed bank... never got an answer back Last time I looked into Medical Seeds.

  5. He might look for the THCV compound. It has some rather specific characteristics and the main to point out, it seem to mitigate the negative effect of THC. If you look for it because you want to slim down I would just do a diet hehehe Has some other medical properties but I think the main effect is, THVC doesn't gives your greenies/green fever/whatever. And i agree.. you will have to import.. that is a total niche plant. Would be rather surprised if somebody in SA gaves it much attention. And just to add... there isn't much scientific research done on THCV yet.. so I would not waste to much time. The appetite reduction and slimming down effect couldn't get proven in a study, both groups lost same. I would wait till there is more known before investing to much time.

  6. what makes you want those seeds specifically? I can 100% guarentee you'll find something way better locally. 7% thc is on the very very low side, so at its most potent, how potent can it really be? Local genetics testing 15 - 20% thc, but theres lower stuff too around 7% if that's what you going for. Besides that, the descriptions breeders give are all selling points and marketing tactics based on the selected breeders cut. The sativa/indica only indicates grow style and nothing else - short or tall plant, thick or narrow leaves, long or short flower time - no cerebral high no body high type stuff, that's nonsense. All that will depend on the state of the trichomes when harvesting - early harvest will be more cerebral high get your mind going sometimes leading to anxiety and late harvest will make you feel sedated like a body high and you feel weak and tired. Another thing I can 100% guarentee you is that the seeds need to be extremely well stabilized and then still with the most stabilized F5 and higher gene pools still give you phenotypical variation. That's why when you pop a bag of 10 seeds from one strain you get 10 different plants. That's why we phenohunt. It's a luck of the draw game, next thing to look at is - say you got a clone of the breeders cut, your grow setup, techniques and approach need to be so fine tuned and consistent to get that plant to express exactly the way the breeder described it, more often than not if we use generic soils and nutes and do the bare minimum in the way of technique then we can grow the same clone of the same pheno and get different expressions every time, because conditions fluctuate. I got many plants here, looking at indoor if I harvest during summer I get green plants and if I harvest during winter I get purple plants. Not only does the anthocyanin production increase during colder months, there is a whole different end product, the taste of the bud changes and the overall expression of the plant changes. Clear indication that environment impacts outcome. I prefer green buds as they taste better and because I like the taste better I feel higher, cause of the entourage effect and the fact that it's not only the psychoactive properties of the thc that gets you high. That's why extract makes you high for 30min and flower makes you high for several hours, the trichomeless plant material does something too. I would suggest if you want something good look at what the hype strains are at the moment you wana buy, see if you can get a clone first. If you really neeeed to buy a seed, a good rule is the cheaper the seed the more you need to buy and "dig through" like a small phenohunt to get the keeper. Generally the more you spend the fewer seeds you gotta pop to find a keeper. With that said the local guys got extremely crazy fire genetics for crazy good prices so you can buy a butt load and be sure you gona find a winner.

  8. 19 days since flip. Nice preflower development so far. Clean under the net, environment is also tops. Happy with the grow so far.

  9. Put in the net and gave the bottom branches a final trim. I should be good from here until full flower. Canopy is looking real good and level. One week since flip.

  10. Got some bud pics of the organic harvest. Radical Juice - Ripper Seeds The colour speaks for itself. It looks dangerous, and slaps like a they/them. The smell is of grapefruit. Smoke is a bit harsh, a friend said it gets them right down the windpipe, but the aftertaste is great. Definitely has that bag appeal and I could imagine a grow club selling this at a premium because of the colour. It's also dense as fuck. Zombie Bride - Ripper Seeds This is a personal favourite. I have been trying for long now to find a good wedding cake cultivar. The smell is of icing. She's not much of a looker, but my god is she a smooth and sweet smoke. This is the weed I always wanted for myself. Now that I have it, I do not look forward to getting a tolerance for it. Slightly more dense than the Radical Juice.

  11. What's up man. I am doing several different things with trim and fluff. I have started pressing some of the fluff through 90micron bags, not big yields but not bad in colour. I haven't had the time to press everything or wash. I have only done 3 presses and smoked up the first ones. I did however use a 160micron sift screen and ran all my trim over it. Got a fair amount of dry sift hash which I also pressed with a 37micron bag but my yield was not great. I got just over 10%. I think I prefer what comes out after a wash and then pressing. I have gotten 40% before out of pressing bubble hash.
