  2. I'm curious to see everyone's personal preference I have yet to decide, have tried both.

  3. No Boveda packs needed. They self regulate humidity. No burping either. Just open and shake once or twice a week in the beginning for buds not to stick to each other. Never had any issues with Terplocks.

  4. High avg humidity - wet trim to avoid mould issues. I also remove buds from main stalk and let dry on dry rack, flipping buds daily. About 2 weeks dry time. Buds should be crunchy on the outside but still bounce back to its shape when squeezed. Then cure in Terplock bags.

  5. I vote dry trim all the way

  6. Dry trim. I usually hang my plants upside down in the tent and take the pots out. They dry for about 5-7 days then buck, trim and jar. In my opinion the cure is a minimum of two months before smoking regularly.

  8. Man, these local genetics grow too fast I was planning on having the flower tent at least halfway done before even thinking bout flipping these. gotta clone them asap then flip I guess Will take them out the tent to photograph individually and note a few characteristics I am picking up in during veg, but we all know it's the end result that matters most

  10. Wet trim for me. Purely because of high humidity in my area during harvest time. Wet trim while plant is still in the pot and growing. Its a process. Start removing fan leaves, start trimming the bigger sugar leaves. Trim 3 or 4 plants then chop. Hang for about 5 days. Cut off buds and In brown paper bags or boxes all shook up once a day for about 7-10 days. Into curing jar. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk

  11. had no idea this was a thing. It seems that this sweating process coupled with Terploc bags is probably the safest and easiest way for a first time grower like myself to get a decent dry/cure. Thanks so much!

  12. https://grovebags.com/sweating-cannabis/ Forgot to mention the sweating process before curing. The buds will feel crunchy on the outside but still moist inside. As i've mentioned, by squeezing the bud between your index and thumb fingers, it should bounce back. Place buds in paper bag (Spar paper bags work very well). This takes some experience but close bag up and leave for a day or two. Open bag up and shake a bit for bottom buds to get to the top. Leave slighty open for another day or two. After this process your buds will be ready for curing in Terplocs. Some do this step, some don't. I always sweat my buds before curing to make 100% that excess moisture is sweated out. Perfect cure every time!

  13. You throw any boveda humidity control packers in the terplock bag? any hygrometer to measure humidity? I'd assume you still burp them twice/three times a day for the first two weeks, even with terplock bags

  14. To be honest I would check my drying environment first. You want the dry to be between 9 - 14 days. (I take a small piece. roll a joint, bust it and put it down. I it stays lit, I'm good -- and as a bonus I get an idea off wat I'm gonna get after 30-40 days The trick is to let moisture out of the buds at such a pace that the moisture in the plant doesn't escape to quickly. My environment was on the cooler side so the more leaves the more moisture, and that would make drying harder (longer) and riskier (Mold) for me. The cure process allows the moisture still trapped inside the buds to release and keep all those goody terps and flavs, without the "green" taste. Some old growers will tell you that if you get your dry is spot on you won't have to "burp" your jars, cause the moisture levels are perfect all the way through. As with most things' cannabis, it's another process. I prefer wet trim. I don't like handling the buds to much before cure. (those trichs are fragile) Plus the off cuts makes for great butter. If you're going to wet trim, I would recommend 2 trimmers and a alcohol-based cleaning solution, to put the pair you've used in and alternating between them. Those buds are very sticky on the wet trim, but again, that's just my preference. Trimming sucks wet or dry so I would try both, see which one works best for you. Some peeps even dry plants with the roots in warm environments to slow down the dry process otherwise it dries too fast and there is no moisture left to release and enhance all those cannabinoids and terpenes that adds fuel to your faya during the cure process - the home straight

  15. So with this 80% humidity and rain in the cape the last couple of weeks the PM took over. Tried PapaJ and buddi pm mixes but the week away was too much. Kept knocking back from leaves but reappearing and then went into the buds. One little plant is clean and will chop today. Bye bye run, let the autos begin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Well... They viable. At it again Tap roots showed in 24 hrs and a additional 3 days to sprout. This time TA tripart and 70/30 coco pearl Testing 5L plastic pots with the intent of keeping them small From what I've seen. 5L fabric pots still produce fairly large plants

  21. Yeah that'll be the best way, I usually have one or two clones I've taken from my indoor plants and just leave them outside to do their thing, but when septemer comes we move into veg time so then you can't take a plant outside to flower it. Gona be tricky now if you start a plant and give it one to two months veg, then we in veg season outdoors anyway, then you gona need to keep her indoors to flower The months kinda represent the seasons, but for outdoor cannabis it's spring season = sowing season, summer = veg and then fall and winter = flower, but this is all based on the hours of daylight and the solstices, when a certain area hits longest day and shortest night and vice versa, that's a better indication of the changing of the seasons and sometimes it hits different areas at different times. it's always been kinda changing little by little as nature does and every year it will fall on a different day, but has shifted quite drastically in the last few years so a lot of outdoor growers have experienced strange flower cycles. you can easily just google the sunrise and sunset hours in your area and you can also monitor your yard to see what area gets the longest period of direct sunlight in a day, but this also changes in summer and winter so then placing of your outdoor grow becomes important. My yard sucks for outdoor cannabis growing, doesn't stop me from having plants outside, but they do all kinds of strange things. basically no part of my yard gets direct sunlight for long enough to make a good veg spot and there's stray lights all around the house, streetlights and outdoor lights so always got plants going into flower way too early from not enough sunlight hours during the day then they foxtail from getting stray lights all night stuff to keep in mind

  22. Hi! I'm new here. Please help me to feel more comfortable at this place. Recently i owned a little farm. As I was tending to the vegetables in the garden, I got the idea to plant some marijuana for my own use. The biggest problem is that I live in a country where it is illegal. So I'm open to talking about this topic, share your experience. It will be very interesting for me. Thank you in advance.

  23. 6 July Update My two Critical Auto shrubs (lol) are doing well. The buds have really fattened, and the smell is good. Very sticky. I haven't even seen any more seeds, which makes me happy. The canopy is very dense due to short and stocky nature of the plant caused by my overtraining, so I'm constantly monitoring for bud-rot. Humidity is controlled though, 39-45% RH, so no issues yet. These two little bushes are about 9 or 10 days away from their 11 weeks life cycle coming to an end. As for the other 3 younger plants which are a week or two behind, I took off 90% of the tie-downs, as to avoid the same overtraining. They have really responded well, and I've seen some explosive stretching. What I found interesting, is that one of the bud sites split into two at the top. Mutation? idk xD And just because, here is a photo of the tent in its entirety:

  25. Aweh gromies, Seems a quiet time for outdoor organics. But the growing never stopped round our parts. Jars are full of summer flavours maturing gracefully. Playing around with some subtle winter terps...just because. Growbeds been put to rest with a few green and brown layers, woodash and aged manure. Multiple AACT applications should help things along. Enjoy the growing.
