    LED vs HPS

I'm not saying it isn't the light but there are other factors that can also lead to airy bud, namely high heat. How's the temps in your grow area?
  9. Only picked up on this topic now. Had to do some cleaning up. Please note guys, no discussion whatsoever about purchasing/selling/trading
  10. Pay them a visit and speak to one of the waiters. Offer to pay them 50 bucks or something like that for them to hold onto all the shells from the day. Best to choose a day on the weekend
  11. I did a post quite a while back on how to make your own shrimp meal. Here's a simple video guide on how to make your own
  12. You can only advertise via the paid for banners or via your vendor board should you subscribe for one.
  13. Welcome @juice Are you wanting to advertise a business/your business?
  14. @Smelly Joe so you're referring to the growoff diaries? Is that right? At the time when the growoff clubs were first created, the permission options were very limited for clubs. If the club was visible to guests, the posts had to be visible too which is never what I wanted but there was no choice....Fortunately not anymore so I've set the clubs to "closed". This what something I was meant to sort out but slipped my mind. Thanks for bringing it to light @Smelly Joe Please check and confirm
  15. @Smelly Joe I just logged out and checked and the Grow Diaries can't be seen as a guest.Checked in another browser and its the same as well Are you sure that you can see the diaries when logged out? Can someone check this as well? @PsyCLown can you check when you have a chance? The grow diaries should remain visible only to members
  16. Could you maybe list every component that your build consists or maybe a link to a thread that does? I need to try and get a better understanding of the components and what they cost individually. As mentioned I know very little about LED's so when you guys start talking QB76464 and LM76587 diodes I haven't the faintest clue what you're on about Basically what I know right now is that you need a driver, lights and heatsink Are meiju reputed? What happens if a diode or two goes, what kinda replacement costs are we looking at?
  17. Have not fully considered other options so more than willing to consider other brands, provided they have a good backing.
  18. This is for the LED gurus on the forum. I know very little about LED's. I know about PPFD and PAR but that's about as far as it goes. I've always been using HID and for a number of reasons have decided its time to invest in LED for flower. I have a 1.5m x 1.5m tent so what are my best options? With my limited knowledge its looks like the HLG 550 is a good option but is it possible to DIY for a lot less? Are there any other options?
  19. You're late in flower now so any spray isn't a good idea at all. If only 1 branch is affected I suggest cutting your losses and cutting that branch. If more than 1 branch is affected you basically have 2 options: You manually attempt to remove as many mites as possible with your hands. I suggest wiping all the affected leaves with a small piece of cloth dipped in h202 solution (30ml of h202 per 1 litre (3% H202) but you'll need to keep doing this every few days now as the chances of getting rid of all of them is pretty low when removing by hand. Get your plant into a small sealed container and fill the container with CO2. Not really possible for most people to do but it is an option...

    Lady bugs?

What stage of growth are you in? Neem oil is a preventative and wont treat infestations. Pyrol will do that. The Margaret Roberts or Ludwigs spray will also do the trick but it stinks, rather spend a bit more on Pyrol. I used to stay in Table View and the builders warehouse there used to stock it. Not sure if it still does, nevertheless you wont struggle finding it in the cape
  21. Ideally you wanna get vermicompost... Jamies Garden Shop used to sell it, not sure if he does still.... Then there is this place http://www.wurmbosch.co.za/getmodule.php?id=listitems.php Im sure you'll be able to collect Im sure the doublegrow bags would be good for your AACT's. You could used both EWC and mushroom compost. The more beneficial bacteria and fungi the better
  22. @CreX haha no thats most certainly not right. My F-up! Changing right now Shot!
