I used to stay in Parklands. I distinctly remember electricity wasn't as expensive there as it is here My last recharge was at R2.45 a unit and electricity goes up next month

I've been battling spider mites since November last year. I haven't been able to get rid of them entirely ever since. When I think I've cleared them out they show up again. It never becomes a plague but they never disappear either. They really are cunts! I'm sure it's down to heavy foot traffic in my garage which is where my tents are. It's impossible to keep it as clean as it should be.... Try and be mindful of where you were before you enter your grow area. Change shoes and clothes if necessary. Once that finished plant is out of there maybe do a spray with neem once a week for 3 or 4 weeks just to make sure that any possible spread can be prevented

That isn't a bad option if you are able to execute it.

Luckily its just one plant. Sit down with the plant and try and examine as many leaves as you can. As GLO says it really wont hurt you if there's a mite or few in your smoke you wont know any better. Plus they tend to somehow bugger off or fall off during the drying process. Chances are you've smoked a shit load of mites in your life anyways lol considering you havent always been growing your own bud

Sorry for not replying sooner. Yes magnetic's show that flicker on camera's etc. Has something to do with the frequency the ballasts run at. Has no negative effect on the plants.

[Review] In Line Duct Fan TD Silent 160/100
420SA replied to AcidAlice's topic in Environmental Control
I would suggest fans.co.za. You're essentially buying wholesale and avoiding the large markups from the grow stores. I've got 2 hydor fans from them running strong no issues. Paid 1400 for a 8 inch silent fan and 800 for 6 inch silent edit: email them for a quote and then organise a courier to pick it up from them or if you're near an office of their organise a collection -
Thats right with another donation of R200 pending payment

Freedom Farms vs Organics Matter

I would suggest starting to feed at 5 or 6 weeks although I've gotten plants comfortably past the 6 week mark with no feeding. Have already grown out a plant with zero feeding and was well happy with the results. Growing out a sugar black rose in the soil now too. In 30L of soil. She's almost 8 weeks through flower (will post a pic). Zero feeding too. Only liquid fulvic, humic, inoculants and top dressing with EWC. Some coconut water too, which is essentially a nutrient but she was only given it once. This is not all to say that you shouldn't feed, its up to you. I'm sure feeding will boost your yield but I'm enjoying the simplicity and cost saving of not having to... and still getting great bud. I reckon if you follow the KNF methods you'll be good with this soil. Fermented plant juices and the like. The odd compost tea too of course. Every strain is different though. Watch the plant and she'll tell you if she's hungry. -

@Zaskar09 glad it arrived safely I would suggest around 6.2 but I don't PH my water with the OM soil and my tap water also comes out at around 8. The soil will buffer the PH but you can PH your water for good measure if you like. edit: definitely do what @Totemic said above for multiple reasons. The PH should drop a bit -
