Mantis and Skunkpharm both produced superb grows. Both with differing appealing qualities. What it ultimately came down to was which grow had the least flaws and @SkunkPharm I'm afraid your small thrips infestation is what counted against you and tipped the scale in favour of @mantis. It was a margin as fine as that. As I say though, you guys both produced two very solid grows. The simple way to put how we judge this competition is we are looking for the grow that is the most "Pro". Would the grow be accepted according to an indoor commercial grow operation standard. Those are harsh but necessary standards, and the same applies here in this comp. Meeting the criteria is key. Thank you to all of you who came along for this ride. When did you flip? Before or after the 3rd of July? That cutoff date only applied if you flipped after the 3rd of July Nevertheless, if you declared your grow ready for judging on the 7th you'll remain in the running then. Sorry for the confusion

@GGG this very move has unfortunately cost you a chance in this competition.... It is clearly stated in the rules that you are not allowed to have your plants under the sun for an extended period of time, other than to take photos. I'm afraid we have to disqualify you. We simply cannot judge your plants after they have spent 12 days under the sun. Please remember to read the rules carefully in the future. Else it leads to harsh realities such as this.

No "smoked moderators" here. If members repeatedly and knowingly break rules they'll get banned. Very simple In this case it's clear Wondergom was not banned. He was approached by a member in their personal capacity who is not a mod. Perhaps threatening to have him banned, I don't know. We have nothing to do with this supposed banning, neither did any banning actually happen. We see no reason at all to have the member banned

It's been a tense past 36 hours! Sorry for the downtime guys The website was migrated over to a better server on Sunday night which requires that the domain (420sa.co.za) points to the new server. This involves changing DNS settings and that's where the issue was. I was having issues getting access to the account where I change those DNS settings and support from the host, to get access, was painfully slow. So I phoned the host this morning and finally got them to sort me out, and we're back. My apologies to those who tried to access the site

Hi guys I've been very scarce on the forum of late and just thought I should clear the air before any speculation arises. Firstly, I am in the process of starting a new business and it has been all systems go. There has been planning, ordering, building and a lot more. I just don't have the time to sit down and spend time on the forum at the moment. That doesn't mean I haven't been visiting at all, but when I do there is another issue which I point out in the paragraph below... Secondly, and this has been an issue for quite some time now... and that is site speed for me is really bad.... it takes about 2 minutes to load a page and I have no idea why. Loading a growoff diary is a nightmare that I often flatout just give up on it. This doesn't appear to be the case with everyone so it comes down to my ISP. An ISP change may be the solution but it's a mission and one I'm not willing to try and address at the moment, given everything else I am busy with at the moment. Make no mistake, I am still fully committed to this forum but my livelihood must take precedence at this time so I just ask for your guys understanding and patience. I know I have fallen behind with the growoff as well as forum competitions and will do my best to catch up this week. Please bear with me This does however mean that our SOTM may possibly not run again till later this year or possibly only get going again in Jan next year. So I'm really sorry about that one guys. I have put a great deal of effort and my time into this forum since it was started back in 2014 and I was always worried that there may come a time when I need to drop my guard for a while. That time is now but as I say, this isn't a permanent situation and we will get this forum firing at all cylinders again once the business has hopefully hit a groove. Today is Flower Day 60 These pics were taken on Flower Day 57 (Friday 27 Aug) but will try my best to post pics from today later Below is Tortoni #2 and #3. I'm not gonna bother with #1 as she's a bit of runt and a bit nasty compared to these 2. I'd say #2 is just about finished. She has started to foxtail slightly but not bad at all. I'll be checking her trichs tonight #2 #3

Sorry about this bud. Such a kak one. What kinda symptoms were you seeing? Did you spot any nanners or male flowers? Being F1 fem seeds, the chances of this happening to a few plants are there I guess. It's a pity you couldn't spot it sooner as there's probably 1 plant that is the culprit.

1. So if I flipped on the 3 July, does that mean my plant will only be judged when I declare it as finished? Yes 2. Will plant be judged when dried or on day of harvest? On day of harvest is the primary factor, but the journey up to day of harvest is also considered in judging 3. Are we going to be sending bud in to be tested like the previous grow off? This is not planned yet but @Aeradix is always keen to support so let's see what he says

I wasn't technically diagnosed with it, but it was essentially insinuated by my primary school during grade 4. The school occupational therapist requested that my parents put me on Ritalin, thankfully my parents refused. The school said that I most likely won't make it through school then, which is a gamble my folks took. I made it through fine. Wasn't a great student by any means but kept a steady C average which I was more than happy with lol I probably say this with a bit of bias but in my honest opinion "ADHD" isn't always a disorder, it's a behavioural style/type. If you don't find something captivating you won't concentrate on it. We are still chimps after all. Unless you have a serious issue with keeping attention on something to the point that it's visibly concerning to others then sure, it's a disorder.... but if you're struggling to get a 7 year old to pay attention to a maths sum which he/she really doesn't give 2 shits about at that point in his/her life then you can't force the issue by chucking pills down their throat. Perhaps the system needs to adapt more than the child. That being said, many of us have to work jobs we don't enjoy and so need a bit of assistance. As someone who spends a lot of time behind a PC I honestly don't think I would manage it without weed. It definitely does help me zone in better. I wouldn't say it's a cure, but I would say it helps for sure. It varies from person to person though and some find that it actually hinders their concentration. So many studies are coming out now backing this!
