  1. Plant Of The Month May 2019 Sponsored by 1st place & 2nd place each take home the following Freedom Farms Hoodie 500ml Fire Juice Freedom Farms Cap Entries close 26/05/19 How to enter? Simply reply to this thread with your entries. You can attach the images to your reply or embed the images Competition rules: • Each member can enter a maximum of 3 different plants • In order to ensure authenticity you are required to take a picture of your plant with the date and your username or name handwritten/printed onto a piece of paper or whatever you choose. The main thing is that the tag with your username and date is tangible. No watermark tags will be accepted. • Photos of plants must NOT be taken under HPS lights or multi spectrum LED lights as one can't properly judge the colour of the plant. Photographing them with a flash at night or under natural light is fine • Please post a photo of the whole plant in at least one image please. Plant cannot be judged on a single cola • Members may post as many updated photos of the same plant as they want but the images must always contain the tag. • Should the date and name tag hinder you from taking a decent photo you may post another photo of the same plant, without the tag, along with your tagged photo on the same date. • A minimum number of 20 votes is required for the poll to be declared valid and decide the winner. Should the minimum number of votes not be met. The winner will be decided by the admin, competition sponsor and mods (provided the mods have not entered themselves) Good luck!
  2. Lekker okes thanks for being good sports. May's comp will start shortly
  3. Something not right here... https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/south-africa/2019-04-30-teens-in-trouble-after-dagga-muffin-episode-lands-pupils-in-hospital/ Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  4. No need to worry at all. Turn the light off while you tend to your plants
  5. Definitely not a landrace DP lol can clearly see some indica in that plant
  6. I had the same issues once when using a promix from hortishop but that was years ago now, it also wasn't the organic one. In my case the medium was far too hot with a ppm of 1500 being measured from the runoff, that caused lockouts and all sorts of kak just like what you're experiencing. Are you sure that's their organic mix and not just the coco/perlite mix? It really doesn't look like there are any amendments in there. It honestly it just looks like coco and perlite. What do others think? If that's the case then it's best that it's treated as a hydroponic medium Have you got a TDS or EC meter? Another bit of advice. Abort those seedlings that are coupled with other seedlings in one pot. The roots will interfere with each other and cause all sorts of problems later on
  7. Welcome @Livefree thanks for joining!
  8. I think Pat is just avoiding conflict here.... but damn Pat you have every right to make him cover every cost involved with this issue. You are being hard done by here and I'm almost certain that, by law and the consumer protection act, HHA should be compensating for all expenses as a result of their poor service in this case
  9. @Stoukie @Gnome @Moosed @SkunkPharm @CougheeCultivator How would you guys feel about carrying your entries over to next month and we'll give away the prize to the top 2 i.e. 1st and 2nd place will each get a hoodie, fire juice and cap. It's up to you guys, else we'll go to a poll.
  10. A total of 83 photos entered this month. Our biggest SOTM yet! Fantastic to see the stack of quality entries that are coming in these days. Thanks to all of you that entered this month. Those that didn't make the cut please don't get despondent. Your chance will come! Here are this month's 8 nominees (in order of date & time entered): @High_grade.420 @Growfo @McB @Moosed @trichomechaser Entry #1 @trichomechaser Entry #2 @CougheeCultivator @SkunkPharm It's been decided that the polls will now run for 10 days. Poll up shortly. GOOD LUCK!
  11. They tested it on the hotbox show and it indicated that Leafolo has like 13% THC or something like that. Was on the ep with Marc Emery. So yes a total gimmick
  12. @SkunkPharm I see you got a tag there, don't forget to post under the POTM thread
  13. Welcome @highchome Thanks for joining
  14. Denatured basically means purposely poisoned to stop it from being consumed so use denatured entirely at your own risk, same goes for rubbing alcohols. 99% food grade ethanol is what you should be using if your aim is to have a clean medicine. If you low on budget and you want extract to smoke then surely you're far better off extracting with newport butane?
  15. Fans.co.za will be your best bet. They're basically a wholesaler of extraction fans and can almost guarantee you'll get a cheaper price from them than the grow shops Email them with a model number asking for a quote
  16. All well and good... but Zane should be calling you
  17. For the growers in the rest of the country, your seeds will be on their way to JHB next week where an online store will be distributing the seeds. No charge on the seeds, you'll just need to make a small order for some rolling papers and cover the courier fee. Instructions and details will be supplied by PM
  18. If anyone reading this hasn't yet indicated whether they're from Cape Town or not please head on over to the Indoor and Outdoor growoff clubs and under the "Sign Up" tab you will find the relevant thread to indicate where you are. For those wanting to take part of course. Alternatively you can just PM me and tell me whether you'd like to participate and whether you're from Cape Town or the rest of SA. The clubs can't be accessed easily on Tapatalk. Make sure to use a browser on your phone for this.
  19. until
Copied from the Dagga Couple's FB page
  20. @Moosed could you please give us a shot of your whole plant please
  21. Dry trim definitely. I started off wet trimming bud. After trying dry trim for the first time I wouldn't dare wet trim again. Dry trimming seems to be a standard with the big commercial growers in the states too
