Plant Of The Month April 2019 Sponsored by The winner takes home the following Freedom Farms Hoodie 500ml Fire Juice Freedom Farms Cap Entries close 28/04/19. A poll will then run till 12pm 04/05/19 to decide the winner How to enter? Simply reply to this thread with your entries. You can attach the images to your reply or embed the images Competition rules: • Each member can enter a maximum of 3 different plants • In order to ensure authenticity you are required to take a picture of your plant with the date and your username or name handwritten/printed onto a piece of paper or whatever you choose. The main thing is that the tag with your username and date is tangible. No watermark tags will be accepted. • Photos of plants must NOT be taken under HPS lights or multi spectrum LED lights as one can't properly judge the colour of the plant. Photographing them with a flash at night or under natural light is fine • Please post a photo of the whole plant in at least one image please. • Members may post as many updated photos of the same plant as they want but the images must always contain the tag. • Should the date and name tag hinder you from taking a decent photo you may post another photo of the same plant, without the tag, along with your tagged photo on the same date. • A minimum number of 20 votes is required for the poll to be declared valid and decide the winner. Should the minimum number of votes not be met. The winner will be decided by the admin, competition sponsor and mods (provided the mods have not entered themselves) Good luck!

This thread has been cleaned up. Drifted light years away from the point of this topic. @Apollo Flux and @growopz you guys can settle your differences elsewhere. If you want to punt/promote or try to make light that your products are better than anyone else's you can do that through the advertising channels just like others have to. Otherwise let the members here decipher for themselves and report back to the forum. Education is good but when you drag your products into your arguments you can consider those posts removed. Don't even waste your time

I brought in about 8 ladybugs into my tent just over a month ago to control a spider mite issue I've been battling for a while now. Thought it was a complete fail seeing as I havent seen them since. Was surprised to see this little guy/girl pop up last night

Really disappointing. Have you tried to phone them? -
@Gnome benzene is carcinogenic and properly toxic. Unless you're 100% sure that your purging process leaves not a single trace of residual solvent, using benzene is seriously risky. As far as I'm aware it's almost impossible to get rid of all residual solvents using basic purging methods. Especially for people starting out, its best to stick with food grade ethanol as its safe for consumption. Not denatured, food grade. It's more expensive than the other solvents but we're trying make meds here so there shouldn't be a compromise IMO...

Are these male preflowers? Im not 100% sure

Hot temps can lead to airy bud, prolonged maturity, reduced yield and in some cases burn (mostly due to lights) A common feature of my plants is upward cupping of the leaves which is the first sign of heat stress The edges will turn upwards as too much transpiration occurs. The leaves also tend to get crispier and more brittle Definitely something you wanna avoid. Keeping the roots at a more stable temp by watering more often can help the situation a bit but yea... only a bit

I also suffer the same issue. It's my nemesis with growing in the lowveld and its one I can't fight in the summer. Like you, I can't afford to run an AC. In Nov,Dec,Jan my flower tent was hitting temps of 38 consistently. Some nights 40 because the ambient temp outside was around 32! All we can do is wait for winter. I used to hate winter... not anymore lol. If ventilation is sorted, the only way to reduce heat is an AC

It does, lets hope she is awesome. Was a freebie I also have a Rare Dankness Scotts OG regular and a Rare Dankness Starkiller reg on the go. Pretty sure the preflowers on the Starkiller are showing male though Scotts still to be confirmed. Had some real shit luck with the Scotts OG. Bought 3 regular Scott's OG seeds and only 1 of the 3 germed. That doesn't help things when you're buying regular seeds...

Have been testing Organics Matter's newly released living soil on this HSO Amherst Sour Diesel. She was transplanted into the soil just before flower. I'm genuinely impressed with this soil. Have not used a single drop of bottled nute on her. Gave her one watering with coconut water. Otherwise humic, fulvic and EM. She's 7 weeks through flower now Gonna be testing a few other strains in the same mix as well. Including a Royal Queen Seeds Chocolate Haze and a Delicious seeds Sugar Black Rose. Will keep you guys updated!

Good points on making more effort to preserve our landraces. It's a mammoth task but if we want cannabis tourism to be a big thing here we definitely need to make an effort. @Totemic perhaps a bucket list project
