Day 41 Plants are starting to get a bit miffy with me and starting to droop somewhat. Usually a sign for me that they want their new pot which puts me in a bit of a predicament.... I've been trying to source Lithuanian peat moss in bulk since early May for the soil mix that will see these plants through flower but the supplier has been delaying with excuse after excuse for non delivery. After a combination of waiting too long and procrastination, I decided to use a blend of coco and protek peat moss from builders and only mixed the soil last Wednesday. Which means this soil is undercooked and I'm worried about getting these plants into the soil even sooner than anticipated. This soil needs a month to cook, which I obviously wouldn't have had enough time for anyway. On the other hand I have been okay in the past when getting plants into the soil too soon, so we'll see.... Gonna try push transplant till Wednesday or Thursday. Otherwise I'm happy with the progress of growth coming up to the flip deadline Base of the soil mix pictured below ( Perlite, EWC, Coco & Protek Peat Moss) This got mixed together and then amendments were added. .

It goes down well. Especially in this cold weather. Tough to really give a few tips on starting out as there are so many different aspects to brewing beer. What I would say is perhaps start out with the Brew In A Bag method and make YouTube and the web your best friend (just like with bud). Look up David Heath homebrew which is a very helpful channel. Also be prepared for another hobby that is gonna reach deep into your pockets... equipment can get pricey!

I reckon you can top right now. Looks like you have enough nodes on at least T1 and T2. Flip deadline is 3 July which is not too long from now

Day 34 #2 and #3 have really put on a stretch and I don't really know why to be honest. The top coincided with a change of bulb from 250w to 400w so perhaps the 400w bulb isn't so lekker. I'm in 2 minds on whether to change back to the 250w or not Decided to do a bit of supercropping on the stretched plants to help manage the stretch This is another hobby of mine. Homebrewing beer. Below is an Irish Stout I've been working on. Much like with weed, once you enjoy a well made homebrew, very few commercial examples can compare I must say I've seen some really good looking plants in the other diaries. Really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next chapter of this growoff!

I may have topped at the 5th node but I will confirm. I could have done the top sooner but I needed to get the transplant done first so there was a delay there Not really following a strict regime at present as the weather is fluctuating quite a lot, from cold rainy days to sunny warm ones. Before the repot I was watering every 2 days. I did water the pots with some fulvic after the pics in the last update. Right now I'm working more by the finger in the soil, weight of pots sorta process.

Day 31 Pics taken last night Pace of growth picking up nicely. Bit of a stretch going on for #2.... Otherwise growth is nice and healthy at the moment. The plants tend to come out more yellow in the pics. They are greener to the naked eye. The spectrum of the bulb and colour correction on the phone seems to cause this

An email was sent to you on on Tuesday.... however it's not up to us to chase up on you to update your diaries bud. You enter this competition acknowledging the rules and what is expected of you in terms of diary updates. We'll only reach out to you by email if we receive no communication from you before disqualification. Warnings are only provided here in your diaries. Did you read the rules before entering or at any point? You may, big emphasis on "may", be allowed back into this competion based on lack of awareness of rules but we'd need to get a consensus from the other contestants. Your diary leaves a lot of questions to be answered at the moment and I'm sorry but a dodgy internet connection really isn't a decent enough excuse when you're talking about updating us once a week, as is required. You have to let us know in some way. You're coming back to us 2 weeks after your previous update. Not trying to be harsh on you for the sake of it, these are the rules that everyone else has accepted.

Perhaps we should put it to a vote. Whether we allow guys to put their plants under the sun during load shedding hours or not.... We'll really have to rely on trust but this loadshedding BS has the potential to create doubt and unfair advantage if load shedding goes on for extended periods. Which is likely at this time of year. Just an example... I have no LS in my area. Thanks to a factory on my grid that threatened to close if they get LS. If there are others competing who are also exempt from LS then there's an advantage there Some guys might have backup and some not. Tricky one which I must admit I didn't think about at all.

@CreX if this was indeed his situation at the time of the update then he's all good... but needs to update again today @HappyDaze

+1 for the soil being too hot Bit of a tricky situation as those plants don't look like they'll handle the heavy moisture from a flush well but on the other hand the moisture will help the soil break down better. Just cannabis is meant to be a "soil" so flushing it isn't guaranteed to solve the issue. Not as straight forward as flushing salts out. I would seriously consider getting those plants out of that soil into something more reliable like FF soil. It's drastic, but could save your plants
