Don't wanna be a smart ass but 4207365 suggested you get a "hydrometer" combo. It's not a hydrometer it's a hygrometer or hygrometer combo. The two are completely different meters. Just to avoid any confusion :thumbups

It's not a bad thing if a little bit of run off sits in the tray, you just gotta make sure the bottom of the pot is suspended from the water. If the bottom of the pot sits in water the medium will become water logged at the bottom of the pot and will remain water logged until the water in the catchment tray/saucer dries up. If the roots have reached the bottom of the pot, most likely have in your case, those roots will drown and you'll get the death which you see in those pics

Voting has closed and we have a winner!!! Many congrats to Green Leaf Organics that 600W ballast is now officials yours! Deservedly so as well. I will be sending you a PM soon In 2nd place we have OnlyTheGood... you did say that you would like to forfeit that prize should you win it. Would you still like to do that? Tied in 3rd place is Toby & Sir Smokealot. This prize will be finalised once OTG confirms what he would like to do. An option would be for OTG to take the 3rd prize and we'll run a tie breaker poll for 2nd place with Toby and SSA. Would like your guys thoughts

Finally a fellow DBV owner You do have a valid point about gathering the residue left in the whip. What do you use to scrape it up? The pin? Also how do you clean your pipe?
-
Unfortunately not but I'm sure I will eventually!

Good growing there @Skolley :-clap I apologise if I missed the post that said what they are, but what strains have you got going there?

What's the theory behind the 48h dark phase before harvest Reaf? I've read about it quite a bit but have forgotten ... Have you found it to be noticeably effective?

I started experiencing a number of issues from nute burn to N Def to mag Def which most likely meant I've been over watering. I'm holding back on the watering now and will see what transpires

Do you dilute the h2o2 with water or do you just use it straight from the bottle? Do you reinoculate directly after spraying h2o2 or do you leave the h2o2 on for a while?

So does that mean that the person that I voted for would then lose that vote? Can we predict who is going to win? My money is on Toby for 1st Prize GLO 2nd Prize and OTG 3rd Prize You can only place one vote. If you voted for someone else and wanna rather vote for yourself that person will lose a vote yes

While we grow, these two fight for our freedom to do so

Thanks @420SA! So that mix wouldn't require any nutes until the JGS soil is ready? Nope! Just compost teas. The plants showed no signs of wanting to be fed. It may depend on the strain though. I'm actually currently experiencing issues with my JGS soil as well. My plants looked hundreds in the above mentioned mix though
-
@CerealKilla if you're worried about your JGS soil being too hot start your plants off in a mix like this which my seedlings and clones loved! 2 Parts Potting Soil (DoubleGrow) 1 Part Worm Castings 1 Part Mushroom Compost 1 Part Coco Peat 1 Part Perlite Once they've developed and are ready for a transplant move them into the JGS mix. That's what I did when I bought my JGS mix.

Those of you who are trying to sign up with another profile to boost their vote count....you know who you are will be pleasantly surprised to find out that a member who has registered after the poll has started won't be able vote in that poll. Let's play fair now okes Members can vote for themselves

That post in itself wouldve been a worthy entry for the comp thanks bud This plant is growing in coco/perlite with chem nutes and I have been supplementing with a silica supplement from horti. Should I up the silica dosage even more than what they suggest? One of the problems is this plant got super bushy and I didn't do enough defoliation to combat the humid conditions that must've developed on the inner parts of the plant...became like a jungle in there. What I've done now is separated the branches by tying down and done some considerable defoliation and removed affected leaves.... that should increase airflow and slow the spread in that regard... Fortunately I've started going the organic route with my vegging plants so you reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea spraying some aact on the plant when I brew my next tea? I use a fish emulsion in my tea, should I leave that out as that could leave a really bad smell on the buds...? One more thing This sounds great! I'm not familiar with the term wetting agent do I add it to boiling water along with the other ingredients? I do have a few aloes in my garden. This plants needs to hold out for 3 more weeks so I'm helluva worried now my fault though! Thanks for your help OTG
