  1. Having an oscillating fan keeps the air circulating nicely allowing Co2 to be taken up by the plants more efficiently. In really small places that might not be such an issue though but I would still have a fan in there of some sort just to move the air around. A fan also ensures stronger stems and branches as the plant adapts to endure the 'winds'
  2. Thanks for the info Al-Hassan! I am aware that chitin is found in insects as well. I remember the term from Biology in school. I think millipede shells especially. What is this insect frass you mention and how does one get it? I might give I&J a call and see what they say.
  3. Definitely Nanners!
  4. Is it just that plant in that grow space and will it be alone until its intended harvest? Your biggest worry is that plant pollinating any other plants in flower. If you can keep it well away from any other flowering plants you may be alright. Just pinch off those nanners and continue to do that if you see any others show up. Once the plant has been harvested nuke that grow area!
  5. I've been doing some reading up on the benefits of adding crab meal to your living soil. It contains an ingredient called Chitin which the shells are made up of and microorganisms apparently love it! Unfortunately it seems this product is pretty much native to the states however it seems pretty easy to make if one can just get access to crab shells and/or lobster shells. I'm not really partial to going around to the local seafood restaurants and asking for scraps but I do stay near to the beach so I'm thinking of going on a scavenging mission one afternoon in search of as many crab shells i can find. If I'm not mistaken crab meal is just ground up crab shells right, which makes it relatively simple to make. Has anyone else considered crab meal?
  6. Looks like it to me as well. Just to be 200% sure before you pull it, take a photo with that HPS off for us so we can clearly identify it. What strain and breeder is your plant? Has it been subjected to any odd kind of stresses lately?
  7. Yip I find a lot beginners start off researching LED first these days. With all the great things being said about LED I don't blame them but you can't spend 10 grand on a LED panel and if one small LED goes you're facked. Right now you can get a 400w digi HID setup for about 3 grand or a 600w for 4 grand. If you have a reflector already that will be even cheaper. That leaves you with at least an extra 6 grand for electricity!!! Which I can assure you will power at least 4 or 5 grows...not to mention the money you'll be saving on not buying bud
  8. Ok great but it needs to be a post so which post do you guys nominate? * So it Begins-Feb 2015 is a topic which was started in Feb, way before the comp started. You need to nominate a post and not a topic.
  9. Definitely a distinct lack of light 600 lumens is basically the equivalent of the light you get just before the sun goes below the horizon at dawn lol Get an 85w CFL at the LEAST and don't blow your cash on that LED. My Really surprised the plant has gotten this far! Cousin Larry indeed!
  10. @Heisenberg and @CerealKilla I don't wanna be a pain in the ass but seeing as GSR is local it's best you edit out the details of your orders in the posts above. They have your details now as well as the details on your order. At the end of the day, posts on this forum can still be used as evidence if need be.
  11. I also bought from GSR when i was starting out. I got 2 seeds and they actually turned out great! but then again I've seen other experiences. I'm sure GSR are aware of what's being said about them so I'm pretty sure they'll want to prove the critics wrong. The beauty is that we can document it all on here. Keep us updated on your orders chaps :thumbups
  12. I've had recent success with www.bonzaseeds.com and so have a few mates. I'd recommend them.
  13. Thanks for joining CerealKilla! Ordering seeds online is far less daunting than it seems and is just like making any online order actually. Check out the following topic by Clicking Here its some info on buying seeds if you stay in the western cape. It's essential that you read it.

  15. Welcome Heisenberg. Just so you know we don't discuss cooking meth here[emoji6]
  16. Thanks reaf my thoughts were to use it in my teas as well. I do plan to get that Biobizz duo eventually.... Know it's a long shot but at the start I'm gonna see how I do without feeding. I'm only gonna use compost teas and see how things go. Currently using the Super Soil from Jamies Garden Shop which apparently shouldn't need feeding. Lets See
