This is something that always niggles at me and can never decide whether I'll be harming the plant or doing good. Makes sense for you to allow more light for the lower buds but the fan leaves are also there to do their job... Also makes sense though when you say "controlled defoliation" which is what I'll do. Shotto!

I usually take the plants out and let them drain in the bath. Otherwise any runoff ends up in their saucers which will get emptied. This isn't ideal if more plants end up in the tent so i wanna develop a better plan. Ideally I want the drainage from all the plants to collect into one spot(container) which can then be emptied. First step is to raise the plants on some kind of platform, just not sure what that platform could be...

Greetings all! Been a while since I've done an update on my grow so this update is long overdue many apologies! Firstly I've converted this thread into a thread for updates on all aspects of my growing, veg & flower. Details on my grow setup are in the first post of this thread which I recently edited. So to the point! An update on my flower tent.... I've got a Thunderbud Haze clone which is now 51 days into flower. I plan to run her a bit longer than my previous TBH that I grew out which I must add is still a very decent smoke indeed! Also in the flower tent is the Jack Herer and Bubba Kush that was in the veg cab prior to this. They are both 12 days into flower.

White spots are an indicator of spider mites. Get yourself some neem oil to get rid of them. Your plant has probably started flowering due to load shedding just like one of mine did so before you confuse the plant any further you're gonna have to switch the lighting to 12/12 otherwise you risk stressing the plant and may induce a hermie. Switch that lighting now! We're gonna be stuck with this load shedding for a while to come so we have to plan our light schedules around it. Try and plan your light hours so that when the power cuts you can place your plants outside for light(sacrificing cleanliness).

Reaf is on the money there. Not every city has the same customs. Each city has its own postal hub and that's where post gets checked by customs. As Reaf said when seeds are destined for an address near jhb they'll go through customs that side which has been known to let far more seeds through than the customs in cpt which is why capetonians get joburgers to buy their seeds and then courier it, it's become a popular effective method! lol Im not sure about other parts of the country but Cape Mail is very very Anal!

Thanks bud she is most certainly going down then. Luckily I didnt pay a cent for any of these ghs seeds I have. Once they're done I most likely won't have a ghs plant in my grow again. Look this plant has been through quite a bit of stress lately though. It started flowering in my veg cab because of load shedding without me noticing for a while. Once I noticed a couple pistils here and there I immediately moved her to the flower tent. So yea I reckon the plant may have been a bit confused. Nevertheless I can't say I'm tempted to ever buy their genetics again. GHS does seem to carry quite a bad rep on forums abroad and I'm starting to see why

Hi folks this damnesia of mine has been flowering for 2 weeks now and I spotted this happening only at this spot on the plant. Is it definitely hermie? and should i get rid of the entire plant considering I have another plant 40 days into flowering in the same tent and I obviously don't want her pollinated?
