  1. Nice 50/50 split, showing sex at a month old. Day 1 of 12/12.
  2. Effect wise, Chocolate Gelato, while a whole lot more indica than most Gelato strains, still has a clear, uplifting high, with minimal body stone. Palomino is very indica dominant and more an evening type smoke, with a relaxing high, and a medicated body effect. Tortoni is also indica dominant, with an uplifting, creative high, with virtually no body stone Gelato CBD effects are going to vary, but it's an interesting mild high/not quite high. Really just calming and anxiety reducing.

    Pants

Got a bunker vibe to it.
  4. Another part of my journey over the last decade. Psilocybin allowed me a connection to myself that I needed to move forward. Nature is medicine
  5. Not going to be much of a show since it's a seed run. At least half or maybe more could show male in a week or 2, and a lot of plants are going to be culled.
  6. Finally got the chance to repot the 1l into 5l, and clean up the bottom 2 nodes. Flipping in a few days...
  7. Almost a month old. Going to be flipping in a week or so, and cutting plants from the run as they progress through stretch.
  8. Looking back on your log I guess Flowering started mid to end March. They should be ready now, maybe a week more... Check the trichs
  9. They should be ready to chop soon... Have you started checking the Trichomes yet? Careful for budrot
  10. Yeah and they can drown quickly too. These seeds are fresh. Temps are just a bit low after this weather we've had, and I expect everyone's seeds to be above ground within the next 5 days.

    Prizes

I hope all the contestants have a kickass Growoff, and frosty flowers. @420SA hats off to you for pulling all this together
  12. My winter configuration. Using ballast heat in the space.
  13. Nice solid bud structure developing there
  14. Ran well over 100 of these through last winter outdoors, and the generation expressed very uniform, and powered through the winter, showing a strong resistance to PM. The reveg on the selected phenos didn't go as planned, so doing an indoor selection run this year. Here we go...
  15. Awesome. Would love to see how they perform in the different mediums
  16. They are pretty normal feeders. The gelato comes through quite dominant, and you won't go wrong treating them like other Gelato lines
  17. Nope. Not risky or worthless seeds at all. If I like a female I can reverse her, look for a better pheno of her, and reintroduce to a breeding project. It becomes an issue if you keep selfing generation after generation. Also doesn't need to be onto other plants for stability etc. If your fem generation from a self is riddled with hermies etc, it was riddled with that before you reversed her. Genetic diversity doesn't even enter my mind of thought when making fem seeds. Only when I work with regular lines. It's breeding for 2 entirety different goals. Regulars for diversity, fem for finish product
  18. Just in time to pick up some colour with the sudden winter weather
  19. 10 days up. Starting the run with 25
  20. They look good. All seem to be expressing pretty consistent. Are there any standout girls in terms of frost production, or intense terpene profiles popping up?
  21. So I enjoyed working with the Slurricane cut last year, and my small sample grow of the chocolate Gelato x Slurricane gave me really good phenos. Made me decide to do another run and hunt out a few male and female phenos to push the F2 generation. Going to be running them in a mix of 1l to 5l pots, FF premium, and Biobizz.
  22. Yes. Yes. Yes. This has been part of my whole mission all along. To get more people interested in giving the plant a gap to evolve! Straight up...the likelyhood of good progeny from previously known/worked genetics is high. It starts becoming less successful when you start trying to use our land races. The thing about breeding, even if only to produce more seeds, is the chance at another generation, and another chance at improvement. Cannabis has evolved to such a point that its no longer just about the highest cannabinoid content. The relaxing of laws has changed breeding into a terpene hunt. The louder the better nowadays. In short, there is space for all kinds of cannabis, to suit all kinds of tastes.
