  1. Purple comes from one of three things, in order of occurance: 1. Mg deficiency - feed epson salts. Half a tsp per liter. 2. Consistant low temps below 16 degrees. 3. Genetics, although this is rarely the case. I will add that with purpling as bad as you have it, you might not be able to correct it. I would add some Mg and see what happens. Try to not pH adjust your water, especially rain water. Since you are in organics. You may be causing the lockout. Let the soil manage pH. It's only in coco or hydro that you adjust pH imo.
  2. It has been great to watch my seeds being grown out. The biggest thing for me was the sheer amount of seeds that went out, and the tiny proportion that bothered to take part stood out. I personally was hoping for more, but it us what it is, and many were just after the seeds I guess.
  3. Now is a good time to plant root vegetables. Sweet potato, turnips, beetroot etc. You'll be thankful a stretch into the coming depression...their is no way the global economy is walking out of this alive. We are a generation that has been spared from global catastophe until now. We've only heard about world wars, epidemics, and the like. Well here's ours...busy taking its place in the history books right next to the likes of the spanish flu. If history is any teacher, this will be the hardest decade or more ahead we will face. As a family we are already a plane crash waiting to happen. It's only a matter of time before we run out of altitude. We were unable to fully prepare for the initial lockdown, never mind the extension, or the fallout after that. This is a 'Phoenix moment'...and out of these ashes, who knows what our world will look like. People may actually start appreciating each other again...
  4. Another week, and not much change really. Buds are bulking up slowly but surely. She isnt wasting a cm of her branching, there is a mass of flowers everywhere.
  5. A link to your Los Angeles based business Twitter feed really does squat for our community here in sunny South Africa. Its SPAM really. @420SA
  6. Roughly 1 week into flower.
  7. I start trimming even before I harvest. All the remaining fan and large sugar leaves. Then the largest of what's left wet, and ongoing while drying. By the time the bud is dry enough for the jar, the remaining small sugar leaves are very crispy and break off easily.
  8. Yield is definately going to suffer with the cramped roots, but those colas should still be decent with at least another 6-10 weeks to go.
  9. It's still developing, but wicks bubblegum and citrus coming though.
  10. Finally in peak flowering. She is proving just as fussy and difficult as a haze can be. She would do very well in the ground up on the highveld, and possibly if it doesnt get too wet should do well in the next 2 months here in the Cape. Her stretch will put her at too difficult to tame indoors, unless you flower early. I'm battling to keep up with her feedings...I have settled on a steady flow of nutes at lower doses instead of feeding once a week, and she is being fed with every watering. Current feed/10l is 45ml Seagro, 20ml MKP. I would have cut the Seagro already but she is munching through N, P and K.
  11. Besides not working, life isnt that much different for us. We are home bodies and used to this way of living. My winter breeding run planning has stalled with genetics in limbo somewhere so no CBD versions of my cuts this year. Was/am planning on bringing some lebanese landrace into the pool, but yeah, plenty other genetics to explore in the meantime.
  12. Pre lockdown update. She's doing her thing.
  13. Thanks for the thoughts guys. We will be fine. As always, you guys are supporting me by supporting the suppliers that do stock them seeds.
  14. This lockdown is a disaster. It's a no work no money reality in our household, There is no savings to buffer this, no full grocery cupboards as we buy what we need almost daily with whatever money we have on hand. Sadly this reality is one that tens of millions of us will face for the next month or more. I feel I would survive getting the virus. Cant say the same about this lockdown. All the best to you all. Let's see what the world looks like after...
  15. 6 weeks old, 50cm in height, and pushing pre flowers right on schedule. Stem rub giving off a sweet, piney, fuel.
  16. She has been taking her time to get into gear. I'm starting to smell her now. I'm loving her structure.
  17. Another 9 days gone, and she's well on her way. Another week or so and she'll push pre flowers.
  18. And then there was more stretch. This seems to have stopped, and moving into peak flowering. Mid to end May is my harvest guesstimate.
  19. Yeah, also, try to focus in on a calyx. The sugar leaf trichomes will almost always show plenty amber, while the flower itself is still clear/milky...
  20. Dropped a bean 1st week of Feb, no seed soak, straight into a 20l. Direct full day sun since germination. She's gonna be small, but after some cold weather to draw out her colour for some bud porn. 22 Feb 27 Feb 3 Mar
  21. Got stuck into her and trimmed out a lot of the under growth that never made it to the top. Removed about 30%. Now she can focus her energy on those meter long colas. There are 14. I only LSTed this plant once when she was at 8 nodes.
  22. It has been smooth growing so far. Running the same feeding schedule I run my chocos(sativa heavy feeders) and the response is good. Her yield should be good, although she has exploded over the last month, makes me wish she was in 70l instead of 45l. She is a super thirsty girl, and having to water twice some days when its mid 30s. But in sativa stride she is loving the intense summer days. I'm hoping she can withstand the start of winter here...she's going to be running well into May, possibly June. 12-14 weeks is my guesstimate on her time.
  23. A week later and she is progressing along. Her stretch has just about stopped, and I'm super happy that her noding has remained tight. Current feed/10l: 30ml Seagro 20ml Hortimix MKP.
  24. The small packet? I think you mix the entire small packet with 5L of water. And then that is diluted 1ml-5ml/l water when you feed. Start slow. 1ml/l from week 1 flowering, working up to 5ml/l by end week 4. Cut out 2 weeks before harvest.
