  1. They need about 4-6 weeks before they'll germinate properly or at all. They are full of blocking enzymes that take time to break down.
  2. The cape medallion makes a great hot sauce that has all the flavor but almost none of the burn. Great for those that dont like the heat.
  3. Haha. If youd like seeds I could hook you up. I only breed the two though...
  4. This year I have 100 Cape Medallion peppers and 100 ghost peppers in two separate 49sqm plot. This is a for seed grow....goal 1mil CM seeds, and 100k Ghost seeds... The CM is my baby. Been breeding them a few years and they available online everywhere. If ever you want seeds, here's your hookup to the breeder.

  6. JSE’s first dagga business buys a Lesotho supplier This is both great news and terrible news all at once. Us at the bottom/consumer level are going to suffer... https://www.fin24.com/Companies/jses-first-dagga-business-buys-a-lesotho-supplier-20190913? shared via @Fin24
  7. I find this very interesting.... I dont plant by number calendar but by natures rythem. I dont plant seeds in a waning moon, but in a waxing moon. A waning moon denotes below the ground development(roots). A waxing moon, above ground development. Consider how the moon affects our oceans. That force must affect all water right? And If you take what the oceans do at new moon, neep tide, and full moon, spring tide, I reckon water is being drawn up into the plant tip as the moon waxes to full. Dis nou n gerookte storie, maar werk.
  8. It could be heat or light stress. It does look like its pushing tails evenly though on the light side of the bud. This could also just be a genetic expression. I've seen plenty Thai sativa do this and it is part of this crosses past.
  9. So far so good. Pushing really fat leaves across the board.
  10. Jip. All subject to what the setup is, but it's about best using the light that's available, and how far it penetrates.
  11. Indoors remove. Outdoors leave.
  12. Haha. Yeah, I'll probably test positive years after being buried. I'm a heavy smoker, 4g+ a day.
  13. It's been slow going but as the temperature and daylight has increased, reveg is complete. She is dedicated to her vegetative state, and picking up speed. She is pushing a mass of branches.
  14. I'm already thinking ahead to the F2 lucky packet. Going to be some interesting recombinations, considering the genetic mix here.... G13 Haze x Chocolope(F3) X Bubblegum x Blueberry(F2) Cant wait.
  15. This years cross of focus to me is this F1 hybrid, chocolope haze male onto a bubbleberry female. These were all started outdoors last weekend, and some are destined to a permanent spot outdoors, while I will also be force flowering from mid October.
  16. I smell plenty of problems that could arise out of trying to implement this... The startup behind the world's first dagga breathalyzer hopes to start selling it soon – here’s what the company says it can do https://www.businessinsider.co.za/hound-labs-marijuana-breathalyzer-startup-raises-funds-publishes-study-2019-8? shared via @News24
  17. You'll find if you gonna breed that line further, it gets more stable, and consistant Ito pheno expressions.
  18. I have no experience with STS. What I can say if I look at the modus of the silver, it is to disrupt natural ethylene production. This is done on a plant wide scale, and silver hinders this. Even with CS as opposed to STS, whole plant treatment will be more beneficial/productive. Silver is not a movable ion, but the ethylene is.
  19. Quite frankly, I cant see it being an issue if I look through chemistry goggles. We can consume colloidal silver for health benefits in much higher concentrations than what would remain on the plant matter. Further, exposure to air will oxidize the silver to silver oxide. Now the oxide is mildly toxic, but its mainly an abrasive and a concern with eye contact, but in the microscopic quantities its present does not warrant concern. Silver is one of the few non toxic metals we have, but STS is not colloidal silver.
  20. I've had a lot to say initially here, but yeah as this just slides and slides, while I still feel a burning bullseye on myself, I've really just got silent...gobsmacked!
  21. Companion planting outdoors is the way. My marigolds just come up wherever they want. They dont grow tall and are hardy af.
  22. If your DIY CS was made with distilled water, and you keep the lid shut, it should last a long long time. I have a little bit left of a batch I got a year ago from a guy that I intend using in about a month. If I shine a laser though the CS, the beam still brightens a lot as it refracts off silver particles.
  23. Looks like a cobweb mould. Love a very damp area with poor air exchange. Change the conditions and it will simply die.
