My apologies but after I'd typed this, I realised how long it this post is and I needed to get it off my chest, so skip to the pic or 2 if you don't want to read, if you do read please bear with me as its my only outlet as my boet and folks work all day and I might see my boet once a week but less now since his head isn't in the right place at this present time and my folks literally fall asleep as soon as they get home and had dinner and cuppa coffee. Only Sunday's really for an hour or 2 after church to chat. So skip to pics if you prefer that quick post... Anyway so cut my post short last nigh, laughing too much, and due the lighting unplugged my wireless as I've lost 3 in 4 yrs now due to lighting. Doesn't help opposite my pozzie is a big ass radio receiver pole for the army camp 300m down the road. A couple of times growing up you'd be sitting on the stoep watching the lighting and it klaps the receiver, gets repaired with 20mins of storm stopping. And our municipality can't even do a lamppost in our street, 4 yrs now since I've been back..... So on Saturday I was at plastic shop and scored these 2 clothing cupboard rack thingies... Was actually going to use both for seedlings to get seedling for my veg tunnel going so I have a ready crop to go in when it gets erected. But was looking at it through a smokers eyes I see potential for an experiment I'd like to try... So my ol lady is supportive of my growing meds as she's seen how bad my back gets, my dad not so much as he's always out on jobs for graft.. So my boet had a melt down due to stress and pressure of managing the farm as we did it together but my backs ruled me out of farm work and we butt heads badly and never spoke for 3+ months last it was about the farm and me and back coming to help relieve the pressure off his shoulders.... So big family meeting without my boet, lots of emotion as I'm so close to my boet and would rather sacrifice my back to ensure he doesn't have a stroke or heart attack cause of our dumb economy and stupid chickens. Our first year we hand slaughtered 3000 chickens a week for sale, between 4 of us. Scarred for life... and I still refuse to eat a chicken off the farm..... Spar or p&p only and I check for packaging in the bin if my moms made chicken or if I cook chicken I need to the orignal packaging as my boet and I have this running thing where once a month when he slaughters chicken for the table he's prepackaged a farm chicken in checkers packaging before..... So I have to stay sharp... So my growing I want to dial in with what I have , but to have a decent supply so I want a tent so a perpetual 2-3 plant grow but running out of space in my bach flat, rent from my folks as when I moved back to sa we purchased the farm as my boet had a laaitjie they moved to the farm, I was going to rent a place of my own. my dad started building a dbl story building, bottom area for training center for electricians when he retires and upstairs for me, big ass open plan bachelor pad, no kids or partner, a doc letter purely stating no hanky panky due to such instability of my spine that it can cause mild paralysis... funny , sad but true.... In elk geval, at the big family meet my dad was the only one who didn't know I was growing my meds he thought I was still on my oxycontins 40mg. Now as a teen my dad hated weed and would of disowned us as kids ". 3 brothers that all smoked" together so imagine my surprise when I confessed his exact words... " oh he says I was expecting you tell me you've started drinking again" and then says " on 1 of his jobs there a dagger tree he wants to chop down as he has a friend with an oil press as my dads brother has Parkinson's and he wants to try and make oil for my uncle " . Now I've been a hardcore drinker in my teens, but in Nov 2014 I had my first back op and with 3 months recovery of no sitting, only standing or lying down, I started drinking heavily " 750ml Richlieu and a 2lt coke every day, sometimes called my boet round 3pm on his last chick delivery for the day to bring another one. That mixed with the meds I was on took me down a dark road of despair and depression. Been clean 1 yr and 16 days if I'm not mistaken. Off all meds for back, clean for 3 months trying to supplement with infused oils/ canna butter and comfrey/cbd balms and hot compresses on my back. Really works well if you have any aches or pains... " Comfrey or knitbone" read about on here as good for compost but never knew the med properties. Was introduced to a gentleman who supplies thc/cbd- thc-cbd only strains to people who use for meds, he charges r600 for 5 grams, it's a good deal I think cause before I met this guy my other avenues were quite pricier up to 9 honderd for 5 grams luckily I met this guy first.. It's a 2 hour drive unfortunately so Im trying to make the trip once a month according to my pocket, February being 2nd time... I don't see myself having a harvest for +- 3-4 months so ........? 2 hr drive it is.... So been researching Collodial Silver as the ol man is and electrician I have the tools to make it with guidance, only thing I need is ec/ppm meter from what I understand as 50ppm is spot on according to a journal I've been reading, "BID" on 420mag "RIP" never knew the guy but his legacy and info live on... I really want to give this a shot with my OG clones, prob on my second run as I need first run of 4 clones to run to harvest.. I found a journal of discovery regarding autos, so I know cloning does not work, but using Collodial silver to create pollen on a auto to flower another auto does work100% I've read and seen the seeds in from those autos grown out and they look stunning. So would love to experiment as my brother only wants to run autos, and if his Hazeys are anything to go buy he's gonna need a lot of pips to play with. I can try and find the link as it was a completed journal but I think I know where if anyone's interested.. Will do a comparison on my Haze versus my brothers, any advice as I'm thinking light lst on her till I see where she is headed... And I want to start building a good collection of beans to try for meds and recreational use for myself, my boet and his missus who has Crohn's disease. Apart from the tent kit I'm looking at, I looking at a magic butter machine as well. Have a 3 ton hydraulic press in the workshop to press bud, but you need special plates and such, so slowly looking into that. The bean collection starts with OG Kush, my next 3 I want is - Blue Dream, Pakastani Valley, White Widow and a mutual enthusiast has Fire OG Kush S1 or F1 ( are they the same meaning ) which looks and sounds amazing, but as you know secrecy is important so it's tenderfoot enquiries the last month or so , all have the med properties I'm looking for as well as the recreational side. So any advice or knowledge on future beans will be most appreciated guys.... To give you an idea of how shit my back is, 2 weeks ago I added a veg section to my box. Box is 2m high, veg section is 620mm high from box floor up, took me a day to install with all the bending and twisting in that little space 1.2 wide and 0.600 deep. Next 3 days I was bed ridden as my back locked out due to pain and I needed 3 injections to ease the lock out due to muscle tension, doc couldn't ease the muscles as the were tight like loaded spring wire , after 3 days it eased up but I looked like a hobbled "Frodo" my friends.... I also realised since my boets melt down and joining 420mag that I don't have anyone to share my frustrations and dilemmas involving my journey at the moment with my back, hence this "Smeegol character and how outspoken he is" I'm naturally like that being a Taurus but I am also introvert a bit, even more so now with my back as it limits my mobility, I've already missed 2 weddings, my best mates which took place half hour from me in the berg, I stuck round for the church bit to seem tie the knot. Maby a fan at the bottom for airflow...? 1 100w led lamp 6500k Worried bout temp though lots of heat. 2nd- forget maisonite, just apply sisilation tape to inside frame and I found out with inner door project how damn sticky it is so will stick great to the cupboard/tent thingy cover wall, made of breathable material by the looks of things , same light and fan set up. Or no 3. just lights and fan as I've seen a cpl grows where there is no reflective walls using my/hp or led with decent yields but I realize that's more to do with the lighting itself and maintaining temps... Want to do gentle lst to maximize harvest.. Guest appearances by my original lst botch up, but looking good. 4 DP bag seed- flux style. My Scrog setup was big and gangly and I would get frustrated with the weaving and threadin of branches, so was researching styles and hit upon a journal called " flux central" took forever to read to where it's at now, but that's where my confidence kicked in, happy with my tools, so gonna learn till my tent arrive in the not too distant cpl months. Hey there JustinH, it is sisilation tape cut into strips overlapping each other, it was the combination of tinfoil but worse and sticky flytraps combined... and the damn stuff was almost irritatingly impossible to get the back strip off with no nails.... Just need to put lips around the sides of inner door facing you when it's closed to block any light from outside. All sealed on inside.. Considering changing lights up again as my flower set up is 1 85w and 2 50w led which puts my heat up to 30 then backs down when the day cools down, but the caveman hood... I'm using only covers 1 bushy plant decently and no more. Veg lighting is longer and wider and compact, have 10 spots for a mix spectrum and can add the 85w and a second on the opposite side, so 12 in total with actual wattage of 400w. Flower area is 3ft and 0.22 inches and generally depends on who you ask, it's 50w per sq ft. I more confident with this setup because I can control the heat better if I'm out somewhere, not worry bout outside temps as much as I do now.. If I think back to my first attempt and how immature I harvested but they looked good then already under 4 23 w 6400k only, I believe I can do much better this time round with a bit more understanding I've gathered from here and Smeegols thread and a confidence boost let's see how we do on this journey of enlightenment... have a chilled Sunday bru...

My diy hood with the 2 50w LED bulbs and 85w actual CFL for flower compartment. Have the big boys 100watters but too much heat. Looking at 100mm fan, but cash flows tight. Busy with fermenting banana tea as a supplement for P and Epsom salts if needed. Also have Biobizz grow/bloom but saving it for my OG clones, which is what this journal will center on with Hazy. So pics are as follows.... 1. OG clone donors. 2. 10lt cloner, bubble bucket, bubbling away for 5 hours. Undecided whether to let bubble overnight and clone after lights on.... See how medicated I get...

Dunno if you remember the specs, but I've inserted a veg area only and upper is early flower/flower till I get that mystical tent... So let's start with Hazey auto... Soil- 50% compost 30% worm castings 20% perlite 25cm pot, watered 1lt tap water, left 5 hours to settle Jan 29. cling wrap humidity dome. Planted 1 knuckle deep. 16:30 Feb 1. Noticed cotyledons poking out. Feb 2. First set true leaves showed.
