So here I am at work, just chillin it out thinking of how much electricity my newly set up, setup, will cost to run each month. Pretty sure we all wanna know how much things cost us to use them, specially when you're trying to lay low like well worn road kill in this area. Now some of you may know how to do these calculations, however if you don't, take a peek up my skirt right below. To start off you need to know how much Watts your whole setup uses. Now alot of times I've worked out how much the lights will use, but fail to recon in the other 200-300w used for fans including oscillating fans and inline fans. These run 24 hrs a day and uses quite an amount itself. So we go according to my setup: Gavita is using 750w currently Quantum boards are pulling 60w each, so 120w total for them Inline fan uses 90-95w for low speed Oscillating fans use about 45-50w each To understand the KWH reading, you'll look at it always as 1 KWH = 1000watts. So if my light uses 750w, I've used 0.75kwh for 1 hour. Always remember to Divide your usage watts with 1000. My Gavita light will be on for 12 hours every day, so the following calculations are for it. 12 Hours x 750w ÷ 1000 = 9kwh for a day. 9kwh x 31 days (For the whole month) = 279kwh. For my Quantum Boards they'll be on for 18 hours every day. 18 Hours x 120w ÷ 1000 = 2.2kwh a day. 2.2kwh x 31 days = 68kwh. For the fans they'll be on 24 hours non stop till the panties drop 24 Hours x 190w ÷ 1000 = 4.6kwh a day. 4.6kwh x 31 days = 143kwh. So if we add all these noodles into the big pot we have: 279kwh + 68kwh + 143kwh = 490kwh give or take a few. At this rate I pay R1. 90/kwh. 490kwh x R1. 90 = R930 +- per month to run my whole setup. I hope this helps anyone who's thinking of upgrading but wants to know how much it'll cost to run per month to budget out the rest of the electricity that you'll need for the fan you got on the toilet for when things get tough and you're sweating a bit. Who lives beneath a rock next to a pineapple under the sea, yeah that's me. Never get any bloody recognition, Bob is stealing the spotlight. As promised I return with photos of my setup. So with my veg tent I removed all the stuff not needed. It's got the quantum boards, fan and two plugs in. Bare minimum ya! The flowering tent is a beast, I wrestled it up by myself and found out its bigger than expected. Good golly, Justin you gotta come see it in person. Erection guaranteed, satisfaction gotten. On to those photos fellas!! So now it does appear I might lose 5 clones. Which imo isn't too bad for very small clones to begin with. I'll take new ones to replace the ones I think won't make it. Then I'll chuck the mommies back into their new tent. My inline fan I use I so strong it's providing air for both tents and pulling so much air it bends the poles a bit. LoL it's on low speed. Yo, so I did a few things. No photos taken as of yet since I wanna make a big reveal. You gotta put effort in presenting when the package isn't that big[emoji23] However my package is pretty sufficient, I'd say some fellas will feel inadequate. So the last day or two I've been putting the new tent up, moving the veg tent and struggling my ass off getting the big tent going. I've tucked pretty much all the wires of fans and lights and such so it's looking clean. The Gavita will be doodled at 750w from the start so not sure how the girls will take it. The FS will need to be shortened because it's the tallest. The rest of the mothers are about the same size. I've put the Gavita as high as it can go in the tent with sufficient space between it and the top of the tent, now I just hope it all works well and doesn't fry that girls. Well it seems that I might lose 3 clones, one of the White Widow and then 2 of the DC OG looks crappy. This is not that bad imo, I can take more clones from the mothers again before I'm going to flower them out. Justin suggested that I flower the mothers out and atleast get something going. I fully agree with him, so after tonight I'm off from work, we got some shitty weather here in the Cape Town for today so it's gonna be spent moving tents around, getting really baked and try and get those mothers a new home. On to some photos! The first two photos are of the shitty clones, LoL the rest are doing alright. Should be another few days before they root well and start throwing new leaves like some of the other WW, DC, AH and a few of the FS also has new growth.
