  1. Cuttings looking ok'ish I guess. Today the lid was removed from lights on. I am spraying a mist over the cuttings now and them. Today is a week so next week I should hopefully start seeing roots Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  2. Balls and pistils is hermies, if I'm understanding you correctly. The same plant has balls and pistils??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  3. [emoji1690] Welcome and I hope you learn lots of new things. Seeing that you are planting in those 6 pack trays you can let them grow in there until about the 3rd set of leaves start developing. When you germinate, under what light will it be or are you doing an outdoor grow [emoji50]??? Regarding pot size I personally would transplant to one of those 15 cm pots when they are ready . From there you can go bigger etc. What seeds do you have going.??? I've been on vacation to Polokwane but that's all I know outside of Western Cape. LoL. So I'm sorry but I can't help you regarding the Nurseries there. The name Middleburg makes it sound dry and well,....kakkerig. But if none of them can help you with proper soil, try making your own soilles mix. I can always pop into my local Build it and get a block of palm peat and a bag of Vermiculite. Add some seagro to your shopping basket and your set on basic grow medium that will not let you overwater your plants. Anything else, just ask. I'm sure someone else will give some advice. Mine is purely on the cheapest and quickest way to get things going.... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  4. Pot is quite big for that small lady. And what medium your using. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  5. Hasty Hasty..... Time is needed. Especially those last 2 weeks of flowering... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  6. Very true BUT in my case, when used HID I was able to fully open my cab and have a fan blowing directly into cab allowing me to co down the area. I had measures in place for all that issues but not everyone is allowed to have a open grow cab in their home. But it makes sense to go the LED route, but rather take route more traveled than the less traveled ones that lead past takealot etc... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  7. 3000 bucks is pricey BUT if saved up over a 6 month period, it is completely do able. I don't really need one now but my veg lights needs to be replaced at some point. Why not in 6 months when I get all my stuff... [emoji848] Thanx for that. Appreciated Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  8. Simple and clean. This kinda gives me that reason to buy the smaller grow tent. [emoji6] Just checked the driver price and it's close to R1000. What's the price on those strips??? Or a good place to check prices. I want to try it out but I also need to compare prices and do a budget before I can approach my "bank manager".
  9. Why use takealot to buy a grow light??? You could've asked on the forum if anyone knew of a special or even get advise to not have used takealot. It probably sounds like I don't like takealot.......... You could've spend that cash on a complete 600w HPS grow light, but you most probably want to go LED. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  10. I am hitting that subscribe dude cause that's some gorgeous strains you are bringing to the show. I always enjoy the germination stages of the grow. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  11. True. I find myself browsing through the site coming accross threads that has that one word or pic in that puts it all together. Or you learn something new. I am being taught new things and having grown for more than 10 years I still learn new ways of doing things. Whether it's from something I read on maybe a few things thrown together from a couple reads. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  12. My Blue Gelato started turning like that but I lost her. What pity, but my point is check your pH like he said. What is your temps in your cab/tent??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanx for the tip. Will keep updated on results. Light intensity??? I have a 85w CFL for veg and 14w for clones...
  14. So should I just leave it like that until tomorrow or so??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  15. Nice roots dude. Got the easy plugs to test. Got 8 clones going. On day 5 now.... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  16. I seem to have miss read that statement. Maybe because it was hidden away like fine print in contracts. LoL. But anyway let me clear my throat quickly.. QUITTERS NEVER WIN & WINNERS NEVER EVER EVER FUCKING QUIT !!!!! I am still trying to hone in my skills on taking cuttings and rooting them, cause I suck ass. I have a 10 % success rate after some years of trying. So listen to Kgrows and try new methods. But please never quit growing this beautiful plant. We need the extra oxygen these days, and some lovely bud porn is always a welcome sight [emoji6] Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  17. Mmmmm, I have seeds that just did not germinate. People have said it's because I didn't crack my seed shell beforehand. Apparently the shell is harder sometimes or the embryo is not fully matured. Maybe it was a bad batch of beans. I personally germinate in easy grow cubes or small 6 pack with coir Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  18. I saw that and did all that. Just wanted to check because maybe I missed something, somewhere. Thanx [emoji6] Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  19. In what section will the outdoor grow off be in??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  20. I didn't even see the difference. Thought it was one strain. [emoji28] Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  21. Oh hell yes. Those look damn good man Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  22. I will construct one asap. Seems everyone that does it has success. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  23. Dome doesn't allow for length unfortunately Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  24. I prefer stronger branches but I tend to take from both. Older growth is always better, but geez once they start to grow I take whatever I can Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  25. OK cool. I will give that a go with the next batch of cuttings. My Shiskaberry Mother is growing a bit slow and I suspect her to be a bit root bound. I can repot her but she is in clean vermiculite. I am waiting for 1 o clock for light to come on, then I'll take her, remove her from verm, root prune and repot. If she dies, we'll then I have 1 cutting that took. DO you prefer cuttings that has a thicker harder stem or softer stem??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
