Smelly Joe's Outdoor Grow

Ahoy @PsyCLown, @Naughty.Psychonaut, @Weskush, @GGG... Thanx for popping in. No this is not to sterilize the soil. This is purely a added extra for the soil. When done it will add millions of good bacteria into the soil helping it stay alive and thriving. I found the recipe on the "Unconventional Farmers" website and saw it in video format on youtube from the "Weedy Gardener". Go check it out. Jip that is exactly what my goal is... No not to worried at all. In fact I'm brewing it again due to the success I had last season. I used a few added supplements but the Lacto was one of them from the start and will be part of my arsenal. I use it for feeding the soil and to foliar spray. Keeps PM away for sure. The BB and GSC is from last season that i had left over. Great strains and yields was insane... When I found it I was skeptical, but the end product, the smell, the things that can be done with it apart from gardening. I even drink it when i have made some... -
Smelly Joe's Outdoor Grow

Went on leave today so i got some stuff ready for the grow season. Cleaned my measuring jugs, checked nute stock and what needs to be bought, picked out my seeds and went on to start the Lactobacillus Serum. The seeds has been put out into separate glasses and tomorrow morning, 31 Aug, i will drop them in water. PROBIOTICS : I started off with 1 litre of tapwater which i left to stand for 24 Hours to get rid of the chlorine. Then I added 500g of white rice, stirred it up for a bit and strained the rice water into another glass jar. I covered it with paper towel and set it in a dark place. It will stay in the dark for 7 days, depends on temperature. After the 7 days I will add 1 litre of full cream milk and then its almost done.... -

I went through the old stock room and came to these strains as final choices : Chocolate Gelato Red cherry berry Girl Scout Cookies x Bruce Banner Bruce Banner#3 Pineapple Chunk Blue Kush Berry Slurricane Cheese Those 7 wil be going through the paper towel method before planting. I was against it for years and once I gave it a go i never went back. You need to be catefull of course but great way to see which germ and which not. I will start making some Lactobacillus Serum this coming week to help the plants get strong from an early age -

Thanks for popping in man. I will be more accurate with the seed selection because they are in storage in the fridge. Monday I will get them out, get them a little acclimatized and on the 1st Sept i will plant them.... I am doing a total of 7 plant as to last years 10. The yield might be little less but i am gonna do some twerks early on to try and achieve close to or equal to last seasons harvest. -
I havent posted on the forum for quite a while but lets not get into that. Lets rather just get to growing The strains for the season is as follows for now and might change: Chocolate Gelato Royal Banner Slurricane Cheese Blue Kush Berry This grow will be kept to a budget and for any of you that is new to Outdoor growing or maybe just want to see what can be done with the minimum of products, I will show you. Last season i pulled just under 2kg dry bud. Its not much for some, but for me its more than a years bud. I will also add prices and suppliers for those that need it. I will be heading out end of the month to buy my soil mix etc and will mix and share when it comes down to that. Until then have a great weekend and chat soon...

I decided to chop her and take what I could get. Another 2 weeks would've been awesome but atleast I have some bud now while I wait for the rest to finish. I lost quite a bit due to bud rot or some rot. So I'm cleaning out all the small undergrowth of the other plants

I have downloaded many different apps to help me with the pictures I take but never get what I want. Sometimes it comes down to the angle / light / time of day etc, but I have found that my wife's phone take much better pics than mine. I have an Huawei and she has a Samsung. Her mother got the brand new Huawei phone and that thing take much better pictures than mine or my wife's. But at this point I also just take a pic or atleast 10 and then I just sift them out. I would love to get better pics up and with my upgrade due next week maybe I'll get better pics uploaded.

Smelly taking a go at Dank's Kush Cookies
Smelly Joe replied to Smelly Joe's topic in Local Genetics
I smelled her but no smells yet. I thought I had a mintyness come through but then I thought I smelled fruityness and then it all disappeared. Guess my mind is playing tricks on my senses so I'll wait patiently till she fills out and develops proper smells -

I will let you know about those smells as soon as I get to her in the morning. Tomorrow is feeding day so I will be super into her lol I like the words: That put a BIG on my face. I like the way she is flowering and looks like it will be a good trimmer. The buds feels like small marbles, already hard. -

I forgot to upload these pics of the Kush Cookies. Sorry, but for some reason I thought I did. She has grown quite well and starting to fill out. Will do a proper update on the weekend. Time + work + kids = never ending madness -
Thanx. The off season will be spent prepping that area. Very excited to start

So I have an extra chocolope and planted her in an area that I'm testing the veg and flower cycle with to see if I am able to do a grow with a few plants there. Hence the crappy surroundings. So far it has proved to be worth it and I will be digging out some soil in the off season and do a raised bed a do a bigger test. Her buds is quite huge, especially the main bud. I grabbed the measuring tape just to show you the size of this one. And a close up of the main bud. You will notice that she is quite further than the one in the therapy garden so I presume that this spot will have a earlier harvest than the garden. This will be a food spot then for a couple of Mendocino Skunk plants...

When the time comes I'll help out with more testing of different strains. I will be having more space next season

Well I'm still super stoked about the Kush Cookies growing in my garden and she is looking the part daily. I can vouch and say I enjoy your strains. Still got a few Kush Cookies that was supposed to go to indoor but alas, it is shut down due to a few reasons. So they will welcome the new season BlackD.O.G, fruity puke...... Damn, some good things coming from your side of the woods.

So I took a few pics before heading to work. I moved her from her normal spot to an area that's less direct sun but more chill especially today with the heat. Tonight I'll flush again with 5.5 water. She is really close to harvest and I'm thinking of chopping her and sometime this weekend or next week. Trichomes is milky and just starting to turn and pistils is also changing color. But as always, opinion is welcome

@Bospatrollie2 @Stinger96, thank you very much for the reply. I will be keeping an eye on her but the way the leafs are yellowing is crazy. I'll inspect her this morning when the sun comes up and then I'll be able to see if anymore issues has arisen. I flushed the medium with a ph of 5.7 and will check it out. Can this be a ph issue maybe aswell??? I checked out water this morning cause this had me awake again at 04:00 just to cover all the bases and found that out water has a pH of 9.3. The day before yesterday the ph was still 7. The water people is fucking with our water again it seems.

HELP NEEDED She was fine and no problems. I 1st saw her yellowing and thought it's normal and I didn't bother with her. Then I noticed the leafs doing this. Again, she is almost done so it's normal (in my mind) but I kinda knew something was up The under growth started dying back and so did the fan leafs. The under growth was also dying back And then I saw this when I got home. Pretty sure it's not normal. Please, any advice.

My eyes are glued to that Braincake. It's a strain on my list for the future. Could it be that she just a tad bit hungrier than the rest???
