Just my 5c, drop the strain if you're having trouble with hermies. I had a strain that I worked on over a few seasons to get my perfect buzz mainly because the breeding thing intrigued me. Last batch turned out hermie, tossed all but 10 seeds due to relocation. Tried to fix it. Trust me, chuck the strain and start over. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

I'm not growing DWC at the moment, however, I used a normal fishtank heater in the res to keep water warm enough. Generally the PH challenges increase when you're running a little hot with nutrients. As a beginner, I suggest you keep your ppm around 700 for vegging. In the perfect setup it is possible to run around 1200ppm but much higher risk of PH challenges. I ran 3 x 150L bins, 10 plants each, water change every 2 weeks without fail. If you monitor your levels you can stretch it longer depending on res size and nr of plants. Aeration is also a big thing, make sure you have enough bubbles :) If your extraction is good, you won't need to worry about humidity. Both my tents are always in somewhat of a 'vacuum state'. I rely on the extractor to pull in fresh air. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

Same here. 400W cob in 1.5x1.5 gives me a 22deg 'daytime' temp at night, which is a little cooler than I'd like, but will heat up once I fire up the second 400w. Daytime is warm enough for their dark cycle. Temps in 700x1.2 veg tent runs at 27 deg with the same light configuration, but no active extraction on the smaller tent to keep my humidity higher. Outside night temp dropping to 6 deg at the moment Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

I see efekto has a 'mostly' organic liquid. Will give it a try Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk -
Pest Control and Biological ways to control them.

Is there a sure fire chemical way to get rid of gnats? Plants are in early veg, so I'm sure toxins would be gone by the time flowering starts. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk -
Correct, same goes for HID, ballast has a heavy pull on startup, but then once it's fully fired up, it settles. Hope my calculation is right, I haven't used electrical calculations in about 15 years. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

I calculated it at 8,41A draw. Here's my logic. I = Watts/Volts = 1850/220 I = 8,41A With that in mind... 20A = maxWatts/220v MaxWatts = 220v*20A MaxWatts = 4400W Theoretically, not taking into account tolerance and quality of circuit breaker, you should be able to connect 4400w on a standard 2.5mm cable on a single circuit breaker without any hassles. You need to take into account other electrical devices running on the same circuit though. I would also not suggest that you fire up 20A at the same time, as may trip the breaker. At a full 4400w, there may be a need for staggered start of equipment. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

It will need to be on separate circuits. Something to keep in mind is that your plug wiring is only 2.5mm, so getting an extention, even 4mm is not helping. You can upgrade your 20A breaker to a 25A. Although this is not illegal, it is somewhat frowned upon. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

I ran 400w HPS and 9000BTU AC on the same plug, using 2.5mm cable into the tent. Not advisable, but definitely do-able Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

Should be able to run that safely on 2 x 20A CB's. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

Digital or magnetic ballast? You may want to consider mounting your ballast outside the cabinet to help with keeping Temps down. I had to run AC 24/7 during my last HID grow to keep temps down and some of them still had heat stress. I've done some DIU LED builds and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. Doubt I'll go back to HID. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

In my case, I use a lux meter because I have one, don't see the need to upgrade. I'm sure newer equipment will measure more accurately. :) Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

I've got an old lux meter that I use. Probably not the best way to test anymore but it still gives me an idea of output Don't have too much faith in the mobile apps. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

Are you running COBs or QBs? Looks like a 400nm colour range. You use that light for vegging only? Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

I just has a PM outbreak, currently Im using vol 30 H202, 3 tablespoons to 1L water. All plants already about 3+ weeks into flowering. I spray plants thoroughly at the start of the 12/12 light cycle, giving them time to dry out before it gets dark. Improvement visible quite quickly, however, until it's completely cleared up, I will hold back on commentary. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

Left quite a few smallish buds so I expect some erratic growth, which works great for me to clone from. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk -

It looks like you spilled nute water on those bottom leaves. Remove them, they're just straining your plant. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk -

That concludes the flowering. Placed harvested plant back into vegging, getting ready for next round. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk -

Don't add nutes for the first 3 weeks, it will do more harm than good. Seagrow on foilage is fine, but somewhat unnecessary at that point. If you did add nutes, perhaps flush, wait till dry and start watering again, plain water only, you can balance the PH if needed. Hopefully they're not auto's Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

You can safely up the vegging nutrients to about 650ppm. My issue with autos is exactly what you're experiencing, you can't afford any mistakes, the clock doesn't stop because mistakes were made. Soil may be something to look at as hydro can be a little tricky in the beginning. If she was stunted badly during veg, you're not going to get great results. Recently burned my fingers with some auto cheese, only 1 out of the 3 seems to be a success. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

I agree, the training you're going to need to do to keep the plant short may be a little tricky for new growers. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk -
