  1. I have no idea, I generally just chuck the solvent and use fresh. But I get it easily from my SO's lab, they use tons of the stuff.
  2. Those are easy, but you're going to pay out your arse for one. http://distillique.co.za/distilling_shop/32-diy-kits
  3. http://www.ethanolsa.co.za/contact.html
  4. @420SA these are the prices you're looking at: 96.1% - 96.2% FOOD GRADE ETHANOL 1 x 2.5L : 96.1% Food grade ethanol @ R 926.43 ex vat 1 x 5L : 96.1% Food grade ethanol @ R 1,678.00 ex vat 1 x 25L : 96.1% Food grade ethanol @ R 7,642.19 ex vat 99.9% FOOD GRADE ETHANOL 1 x 2.5L : 99.9% Food grade ethanol @ R 960.04 ex vat 1 x 5L : 99.9% Food grade ethanol @ R 1,741.42 ex vat 1 x 25L : 99.9% Food grade ethanol @ R 7,936.22 ex vat
  5. Nope that sounds like denatured.
  6. Different molecule. Ethanol is easy to get, i bought it from my pharmacy on special order. You just pay out your arse for it due to it being pure alcohol.
  7. If you run them max power they get very toasty yes, I run mine full tilt and the heat sink gets to around 50.c
  8. That hand writing is amazing lol..
  9. Agreed, they should refine the tests or do sobriety tests for the drivers. Either way, you're accepting until its you pinned under an truck driven by an intoxicated driver.
  10. QB's can be bought on amazon or directly from HLG, alternatively you can get QB's on alibaba, either R2T or Meiju are okay. I got mine from Mejiu, however shipping was rather costly, if you buy just the boards without heat sinks the weight will most definitely be cheaper. There are so many different configurations you can choose from, lots of people go for the smaller QB boards and build a large array. You then just wire them up to mean well drivers. Many people I've seen run many boards at much lower wattage with no heat sinks . Just rather head over to the intl forums to check the LED sections, there is tons of information to digest so pointless for me to copy and paste. Example:
  11. I'm in agreement, just like you must not drink and drive the same should be applied to Cannabis.
  12. What do you mean strips without the LEDS ?
  13. My Zkittles and Satori are not as big as I'd like them, but I'll write those off as 12/12 cycle growths.
  14. Flipped to flower today, just to be done with this grow so i can start something new.
  15. You can order the drivers directly from digikey or mouser.
  16. 3, maybe 4 would be pushing it.
  17. 4x QB 132 on a HLG-240H-C1750A
  18. The purpose of the samsung strips is their efficacy, you can build any wattage light fixture you want. My friend has one running at 1000 watts (true rated watts), he runs it off a few meanwell dimmable drivers. Yes the drivers in that guys pic above does look small, because people usually run them lower than the max voltage and still get the results they want. Lower wattage = lower heat. My boards run off of two of these : If you think its still a concept go look at the american forums and the led sections and see what is being produced. Here is an example of one: In any event there is no real answer to your price question, it all depends on your wattage and configuration you want to go with, which strips, frame, drivers, etc.
  19. I'm referring to these : https://www.samsung.com/led/lighting/led-modules/industrial-light-module/h-influx/ Then build something like, the last image are the strips in the above link
  20. Culterra potting soil is total garbage. I planted some chillies in freed farm and then in cultera. The chillies in FF are massive, the ones in cultera are practically dead and lifeless.
  21. Or quantum boards, samsung LM 301B, LM 561 C S6 strips. There are many lighting engines out there.
  22. Stay away from those LED's, not true watts, epistar or epiled (garbage) and they burn out fast. Go for these : https://www.amazon.com/Horticulture-Lighting-Group-Quantum-Boards/dp/B078P4K8J9/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1541399420&sr=8-8&keywords=quantum+boards You'll just need to get a matching driver.
