  1. I agree with you clones would probably have been a better test. I might do it on the next run. But clones also have variations. So the test will be hard with small sample sizes. I think if you do at least 10 pots of each soil you might be able to start drawing conclusions. Then you can eliminate the outliers and draw a good median. Oneday when I have lots of space.
  2. Put some fly traps down or the glue traps for rats. Works wonders. I have had issuea with fungus gnats now for a while. I think they come in the coco and peat that is imported.
  3. So what do you guys think? My conclusion thus far is that nutrient dense soil will make your plants grow faster but this is an ongoing test and we will see what happens at harvest time. This is the first time I am using freedom farms soil and I am super impressed.
  4. This morning the freedom farms plant is standing at 109cm tall. And she is looking beautiful.
  5. 2nd June. The freedom farms soil plant over took the plant in my soil. But way further into flower.
  6. 19th of May The plant in my soil started flowering.
  7. So on the 16th of April or there about i decided it was time for a soil test and give the autoflowers a go again. So I got a bag of freedom farms soil to see what will happen if I put it up against my mix. 3 x 20l pots one pot freedom farms one pot my mix and one pot a 50/50 mix of soil. Seeds Fastbuds original cheese. Now what you must understand is that no seed will ever grow the same. So each pheno is differrent. And my sample size is to small to make any conclusions. And my test was further skewed by the fact that I dropped the light on the seedling in the freedom farms pot. Here is my observations. First pic Freedom farms then the mix then my soil.
  8. I looks like possible spider mites. But I maybe wrong. So below you will find what I spray on a weekly basis in veg. You can continue with the ecobuz products during flower.
  9. Let them settle in. They take about 3 to 4 days to settle into new soil.
  10. I am just going to revive this thread as I have started up the grow tent again now that it is to cold to grow outdoors. At the moment doing some 30:1 Dr Seedsman CBD. And Spumoni Orange Kush Cake and Diesel. And I decided to give Autoflowers another go. Fastbuds Original Cheese is the strain. They are by far the biggist autos I have done. Also the tent received some upgrades. New fans, wifi switches and a heater. So far it is looking good the pics was taken one week after switching into flower.
  11. Nice one. Good start. I would advise you to look into micro organisms in the form of compost tea or something like explogrow.

  13. You can also look at the f~series samsung led strips some of them are 120w if run at 2.4A. I think they are R750 or there about. 4 of them will make a decent light.
  14. What did you mix in to start with? How long did you cook your soil? If you did amend your soil and you find that no nitrogen is availible tjen add microbes. Compost teas or microbe teas. If you want to take a short cut with microbes you can try explode grow. From papaj's. Fast remedy is to get products from Jamies garden shop. He has a product called bio-nitrogen.
  15. Then their is loads of youtube channels you can follow. Most of them are junk but I found KIS Organics does a good show. Always interresting guests on that you can learn from.

  17. I think we will differ on this point. I mix my own soil. I am on my second grow in the same bags of soil. I have heard of guys in thr US that has been growing in the same beds for 11 years without any issues. I know we are not there in terms of the services that they use to test their soil and then to re-ammend with the correct amendments. But with a bit of logical thinking you can overcome these issues. All and all I struggled with growing in coco. Maybe you guys are just better at it that what I was. But I prefer the science of soil.
  18. No bottled nutes here either.
  19. Nice, we must compare notes some day
  20. Don't waste your money. Rather just buy organic soil. It sounds like the shop wants to make more money out of you. They know organic growers spend much less money at the store. You dont need expensive fertilizer or ec or pH pens. It is also much easier to grow organic. There is a couple of books that I could recommend if you are interested in the science.
  21. Hi, have you grown hydro before? Do you have a pH and EC pen? What fertilizer range will you use? For me coco is coco I used to mix my own Coco/perlite. I think this fancy packaging is just a way to inflate the price. My opinion. Good Luck
