When did you last water? Can you put the plant in the sun to let it dry out? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

It can make a difference. I would flush with pHed calcium and low nutrient solution. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

New grower. Coco or organic soil?
SkunkPharm replied to Jedi Messiah's topic in Starting Your Own Grow
I did not pH my water for outside growing. If you plant in September I would go 40l. If you plant end of Desember 20l would be fine. Check out the soil on the 420store. It is good. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -
You will probably need a couple of lights. Get them big enough and then transplant them outside in spring. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

New grower. Coco or organic soil?
SkunkPharm replied to Jedi Messiah's topic in Starting Your Own Grow
Welcome to the forum. If I was you I would by 3x 40l smart pots. 3 bags of either Freedom Farms/ Organic Matters soil. One bottle of BioBizz Bloom. Find a sunny spot an let the plant grow. Any local seeds will be good for outdoor growing or American seeds like Humboldt seed organisations seeds are good for outdoor growing. If I was a first timer I would not go the hydro/coco route. But the decision is yours. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk -

My reason for going organic is it ends up being cheaper in the long run. No expensive nutrients. It also feels more natural. I'm not force feeding the plants. They just do their thing like nature intended it to grow. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

H Guys, it also depends on the selection of the plant when breed. Some strains are selected for indoor and others for outdoor. The Green Crack I grew indoor was nothing like the plant I grew outdoor. Humboldt genetics are selected for outdoor growing. While the Jack Herrer grew indoor was better than the outdoor one. So I think selection plays a big role as well. Welkom. Are you growing in or outdoors? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Sort out all the kinks. What strains do you have in mind? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Judging by the leaves on the plant, it still has some way to go. Bit then I like the trichomes more amber. At least 30% amber. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Agreed. I grow both and prefer smoking organic grown bud above salt grown. It might take longer but the taste!! Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

I'm not saying that one way is better than another. I grow both ways. For oils I grow Hydro and smoking organic. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Most salts are synthetically derived. By chemical processes. It is by products of other industries. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

Organic nutrient is chelated by bacteria and fungi so that the plant can take it up and use it. The plant produces sugars for the micro organisms. And these sugars are excreted/secreted by the roots of the plant. Thus is is important to have the correct micro organism blend in your soil so that they will help your plant grow faster and better and produce more. Growing with inorganic salts hydroponic style of growing. You use chelated salts and create a high osmotic pressure. High pressure on the outside of the roots where your water is. This forces the plant to take up Nutrients (osmotic pressure is lower inside the roots thus your salts/nutrients will move from a higher pressure to a lower pressure). The higher salt content in your grow medium will usually kill micro organisms. This is why you have to inoculate your medium constantly when feeding inorganic nitrients, even in soil. So yes nitrogen is nitrogen but some nitrogen sources will kill your micro organisms in your soil. And others will not. It is up to the grower to decide which method of growing to use. Natural better? Hydroponic more control? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
