Howsit, Anyone into bass fishing in jhb?

My daily is a bong. Will spark up a joint if company is around and that's the preference for them but yeah nothing hits the spot like a nice ice cooled bong rip. This is her when she was new. Not as clean now lol I change water daily but deep clean on the weekend usually.

Yeah you could do exactly that, i've seen a few guys do veg in flower out and vice versa with great success. My only concern would be during the veg out and flower in cycle, depending on the area you in you might bring bugs and pests into the tent which is never a good thing. I've never used one personally but the Jardin tents look like they worth every cent, looks to be quite a sturdy design. Are you purchasing locally?

If you are using the Epsom salt as a substitute for calmag, that won't work. Epsom does not contain any calcium but it's good for magnesium deficiency.

Howsit man, I've grown a few autos before and just got some new auto seeds. Going to start my grow soon. I recommend starting in the final pot because autos are quite fragile and even minimal root damage will set you back a few days of growth and with autos you need to get them as big as possible as quick as possible before flower. For watering I recommend during seedling stages you water directly at the base of the stem. I've also used another trick I picked up on another forum. Plant the seed in a solo cup with the bottom of the cup cut off take that cup and bury it about half way into your final pot. During seedling stages you water like you normally would water a seedling in a solo cup. As soon as the plant passes the seedling stage and is ready for more water and nutes you water outside of the solo cup. Will try and find a pic and upload it, it might make more sense as I'm quite stoned on some blue cookies right now lol

So my seeds finally arrived today from biltong and buds. Everything looks good except one of the tubes were cracked, thankfully the seed is fine. I also got an extra seed of the auto big bud, I'm sure it was an error on their side as I only ordered one of them. Sent them an email asking if I can EFT them the cash if it was an error. Now to decide what to grow first. I'm thinking the big bud

So i contacted AutoCobs yesterday and unfortunately he does not ship to SA anymore due to the high shipping costs.

I managed to track them down, can be purchased from RS Electronics, the one i saw was R450 I see a few guys on the international forums trying to grow with these. Have not done much research on them myself. Can you source them locally for cheap? Yeah autocobs have some decent lights out, interesting choice of drivers being used. Makes the light look very professional. @McB The FrankenLED looks good, Once i get my grow tent i will convert the PC into a small cloner. This FrankenLED looks like a good cheap option to put into the PC, although i might need to cut it down to my required length.

Hi All, Was just wondering if anyone considers CRI ratings when building COB fixtures? I'm currently working on setting up a new 300w LED and have been looking at a few COBs. My previous lights were 20w CXA2530s with an 80CRI. I have been reading a few forums and grows and it seems the guys are now leaning towards the 90 and 95CRI options. Apparently the higher CRI chips tend to grow a bit better although the lumen output is slightly lower, anyone got more info on the subject?

@Trailblazer420 That looks like it could work for me, where did you get the antminer from? I'm running DIY Cree Cxa2530's on individual cpu heatsinks, would prefer to have all 4 on a single heatsink or maybe 2/2 split like yours above. lol yeah i have been burnt by mines a couple of times as well. On 2nd thought, just had a look on google and those miners are kak expensive, anyplace i can get just the heatsinks or is it just a full miner for sale?

Would definitely prefer to do DIY, love that satisfaction of growing with something you built yourself, if only parts and components were a lot cheaper and easier available. Have never used DigiKey but have heard good things, i got my chips from Mouser the last time and i think i paid around R150 each for 4x CXA2530's, U2 bin, 4000k CCT, the drivers from AliExpress and slapped the chips onto some intel pc heatsinks which i got from work for free.

I did have a look there thanks, prices seem to be a bit high though. I see they opened up a branch in JHB now... Nice

Hi McB, As far as i know the chips are only available through: RS Electronics Mouser DigiKey I had a contact that use to work in imports, friend of a cousin, he helped me get my chips from Mouser fo cheaper than local prices. Not sure if he still works there, might need to make a few calls.
