The 2 remaining Vanilla Kush ladies are in full veg mode. They growing well and getting nice and tall. Very tempted to put one of them in mother earth so she can go big.... Feeding Seagrow and molasses with epsom every other week. Supplementing with banana/apple and moringa smoothies for some extra wooma. They rising above the crap weather. Plants have good internodal spacing - not too bushy which is good for avoiding pm with our humidity. Stem terps are smelling real funky - sharp, herby, zambucky- making us anxious to see them flowering. Cheers vir eers.[emoji16] Puff puff pass. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

So our grow is busting out at the seams.... Summer outdoor growing season is in full swing. But with that comes issues... ''Had'' a problem with some green grasshoppers and caterpillars that started munching everything.... Pic 1-3. Had to move some of our Swazi girls outside as the were getting too tall and we want to see how big they get in the ground. Pic 4. Duo of Herbnation Cheese auto's. Pic 5-6. LST/HST experiment doing well so far. Pic 7. Swazi Lady doing her thing and getting big and bushy. Pic 8. Swazi clones were cut for possible future breeding. Got some Basil, tomatoes and Palermo chilli's going in my soil to test suitability. Seems good. Lekker. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Yeah, looks like some pollen sacks. You can pick them out, but pay close attention to that plant every day. If it's between other flowering ladies you'll have to be carefull for obvious reasons. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Afternoon Mister Dank, Checked the stalks, mine have a sharp spicy, minty almost menthol-like scent. Good signs. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Good job on the transplant, those plants would not have done well. I found some AACT helps with transplant recovery. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I was also wondering about that... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

That's a good question..... Not sure how much truth there is, but it seems the legeslation and regulation is going to be prohibitively expensive. Only 23K for a licence....nevermind land, water, eletricity, infrastructure and security requirements. (You can distill moonshine in your garage with a R100/year licence) Where is the small guy in this picture? Is there a place for a artisinal small scale grower like myself??? Starting to get the feeling that I'm too small a fish in this pond. (Speaking for myself-other members should add their own opinions) ''Cannabis Growers Cooperative'' anyone? Morning leka ppl, Been a flippen wild couple of weeks. This may be the season to grow but bloody hell the weather is playing havoc on the North Coast. Cloudy rainy days mixed with thunder, lightning and 80km/hr gusts. Reminded me of Cape Town weather. Thankfully all our water tanks are full....all 6500lt and no serious damages. . 1 & 2. Swazi Gold clones are looking good. The Big Swazi mother started showing signs of revegging, so we harvested her. Luckily I took enough clones. 3,4,5. Swazi Gold x Mango Kush lady from my pheno hunt, looking frosty. 6.Experimenting with some hst and mainlining. Just for fun. Keep on puffing. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Morning fellow Greenfingers, The Vanilla Kush ladies are doing awesome, unfortunately only 2 girls out of beans germed. Got 2 boys and 1 hermies, we had some really crap weather the last couple of weeks. Lots of rainy overcast days that may have had an effect, but that's how the cookie crumbles. Started feeding them a mix of seagrow, molasses and epsom alternating with AACT and rainwater. Preventatively added some powdered eggshell to the topdressing as some of our other plants started showing some calcium defs. Will do 2 or 3 toppings to keep them low, hopefully also 6-8 good colas. Lekker people. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Morning 420SA, Mr Danks Cookie Birds are flying the coop...hahaha.[emoji3] Bloody vegging rockets. Doing some serious topping to try and keep them in check. Seems so far we have 3 confirmed ladies, the 4th plant(last 2 pics)seems a bit shy to show its bits but transplanted it anyway and hoping for the best. It has a slightly different colour than the other plants- more blue-ish. They loving the seagrow, molasses/epsom feedings and the AACT is keeping the rootzones happy. All good cheers vir eers.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Agreed, most commercial potting soils as mentioned will kill your plants...some faster than others. As a standalone medium they are rubbish for many reasons. But used as a base with a couple of additions and some composting you can turn it into a relatively good, cost effective medium. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Good day, I can confirm that the blondie leaf boy turned hermie and was chopped. Cheers vir eers.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Evening, I am no expert but I'll venture my opinion. Need a bit more background for a better guess. What soil is that plant in? Any amendments to the soil? What nutes are being fed and how much? Looks like P or K excess with other possible lockouts, the roots are suffering as well. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Keep the jar in a cool dark place away from heat and sunlight/UV. Cupboard is cool. You want around 20deg C temperature wise. Stable temp is key and burp the jar every day. You will need to control humidity (RH), either with humidity packs or an RH gauge. If the bud is too wet - over 65%, you risk mould.( Will be a complete waste ) If it's too dry - lower than 50/55%, the curing process stops/slows down. The chlorophil doesn't break down and you may end up with a harsh/throat burning smoke. What I have noticed, as the curing continues the scent changes and starts smelling less and less as it cures. (Until you grind it...) And the colour changes from shades of green to golden/tan/dry grass colour. There is lots of literature on the net about drying and curing cannabis. Knowledge is power. We have some Swazi Gold that is coming up on 12 months cure. Awesome stuff.[emoji16].......(of course we sampled it) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Howzit, Wanted to add something I learnt/saw/heard.... The best bud in the world can be rendered unsmokable with a bad cure. Mediocre bud can be turned into the best bud with a perfect cure. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Strongs dude. Do what you need to do. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Howzit Nimzo, Drying and curing your buds requires as much care as growing it. 1.The bud needs to be trimmed and dried. 3-7 days depending on humidity. 2.Then cut from the branches and bottled in airtight containers and burped/aired every day. Keep in a cool dark place. 3.Humidity needs to be monitored and kept between 55 and 65% for proper curing to happen. (I use a humidity gauge, but you can use humidity packs like boveda) If the buds dry out too much initially you may affect/stop the curing process. 4. Start testing your bud for smokability/ smoothness. For edibles this isnt terribly important I think. I cure for 3 weeks before I fire up a test spliff. It's a bit of a process, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so complicated. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Awesome stuff....Wish I could plant my whole back yard, but my walls are too low for now. Allready got 14 in flower, 6 vegging clones 12 new clones and 10 new plants from seed. It gets hectic, but I love it... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Howzit 420SA, The Big Cookie Birds are doing their thing. So far we have 2x girls for sure, they have been planted out and seem to be settling well. Gave them all a dose of AACT to help with stress and ease the transition. The ladies formed a good rootball in the seedling bags. They should take off like veg rockets in the rich medium. Keep on puffin Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
