  1. Looking good man. Would love a Charlotte Angel clone- she's on the bucket list. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. Been keeping an eye this thread It's nice to see other people have the same ideas. Cardboard is only processed wood fibre or lignin/cellulose and can be composted or recycled easily. (Just keep the cellulose fibres away from ethylene glycol and brake fluid you may end up with nitro cellulose and glisyrine which is the unstable compound in dynamite) All our kitchen scraps/trimmings and garden refuse go to the compost pile and our garden produce attests to the benefits. We recycle/repurpose as much as possible, but peoples mindset is way behind unfortunately and it needs to change. So much more is possible, I believe we can achieve almost zero waste with a bit of effort. Was involved in a local recycling project focused on domestic municipal waste streams, had a 95% recycling rate(the numbers would shock you) It can be done and we did it. The more you take out of your personal waste stream the less ends up in landfill. That is the long and short of it.... they bury the shit like a time bomb, in a hole in the ground, then cap it with clay and rezone it for residential development on ''reclaimed land''.[emoji23] We need more creative ideas in these lines to reduce our ''footprint''. I'm on board with@Dank, if you can compost it and make awesome food for your plants- why not. We should all try and do it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Good afternoon growbies, The Giant Cookie Birds are growing well and are still the most vigorous growers of my bunch. Suspect the tallest one to be a boy although none of the 5 are clearly showing gender yet. Been keeping them hydrated with AACT and rainwater. No nutes yet. Keep it growing. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. Afternoon greenfingers, The 5 remaining Vanilla Kush babies are doing well. No 6 was unfortunately beheaded by some vegetarian critter. They enjoying their AACT and rainwater and have started showing sex, the boys seem to show before the girls. 2x males 3x unknown as yet. Have a good one. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. Looks lekker. Attractive dark colouration on those buds.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. That will work fine. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. If a suitable strong Swazi male presents me with some pollen. Game on....[emoji41] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. This is cool, a side by side grow with 3 different mediums. Will be cool to see the results. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. Usually they take about 2 to 3 days to crack and tap roots to emerge. In cold weather they may take longer. I prefer keeping them in a covered sideplate so I can open and close to check. Keep an eye on them and be carefull when you remove them from the towel to transplant, as the roots are very fragile and many a good bean has been lost due to a broken tap root. You can plant them out as soon as the root is out of the shell, some people prefer to wait until it's 1cm long-your choice. While you wait for roots, prep your transplant stuff. Enjoy. 10. As promised. Here what she looks like up close. Her genes were stealthily imported. Should defs do a bean run in the next round.[emoji2] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. Swazi Gold is a Landrace sativa strain. Who knows if she's 100% ''pure'', personally believe she's close enough- lots of research done. Google will show you many pheno's.[emoji848] She has the typical narrow leaves and buds have a tangy citrus scent and strong cerebral effect. Going to let her go more amber this time - more chill and less headrush. She is on the finishing stretch, been feeding twice a week to try and reduce early leaf loss- to no avail. I like to check pistils and there after trichome colouration. Plant will tell you when they are ready. The previous Swazi lady finished with very few leaves. Don't really flush in the indoor sense, we stop feeding and plants recieve only rain water for a couple of days before the chop. Will take a few bud pics. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. Hi H2Ou Moving your plants around is going to be heavy going and a PITA.... You gonna be limited to about 20lit or whatever you can comfortably carry. Just some ideas-Have a look at the carrier bags from Woolies, they about 20lit, got handles and should work well for bagseed. 25lit buckets from China mall/Crazy plastic also work well. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  13. Good day fellow horticulturists 1-4. Some gratuitous bud shots for you[emoji3] 5. Our Swazi Gold lady picking up some weight. 6-7. Wanted to check the conditions in the greenhouse. Tried using the terarium thermometer....it went up 65deg C - I think it's broken. My trusty IR thermometer showed the real temps. 8. Seaweed FPJ brewing along nicely. White fungal colouration is supposed to be a good sign. But holy crap the smell, it's beyond stanky.[emoji43] 9. Moved our strawberries in as well, birds and monkeys are chowing everything. Lekker[emoji2] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  14. Howzit greenfingers, The Giant Cookie Birds are doing awesome, still in the lead with growth rates. Yesterday they had some AACT and this morning some rainwater from the Jojo. Did notice some insect munching activity, sprayed some Margaret Roberts (B.Thrungensis-for worms) and followed up with an Ecobuz pestpro product (Beauveria bassiana-for mites/aphids) Cheers vir eers.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  15. Afternoon growers. The Vanilla Kush seedlings are doing well and handling the heat. Our North Coast summer is blistering today, but the greenhouse is keeping our babies cool[emoji41] They got a lekker AACT yesterday and this morning a light rain watering from the Jojo. The one little ICU case has recovered well and is doing its thing. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah that sucks balls. Let us know what happens. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Morning herbologists, What a surprise walking into this fragrant forest of ours in the mornings. Thought I'd share a bit. Please look past the spidermite damage as I have been waging war again, seem to winning as I found some bigger guns 1-4. Bubblegum ladies were a gift from a friend. Very sweet scent and hard buds albeit not very large. Different pheno's coming through if you look at leaf structure etc. 5&6. Indica bagseed lady with big dense colas. Sweet chem scent. Been having a helluva time keeping the mites off her. Luckily no signs of bud rot. 7&8. Sativa dominant Mango lady that received some late lst that turned her into a type of flat top. Easy for me to tend them as tall okes don't like bending too low. 9. Our forest of joys. Have a good one.
  18. Morning 420SA, Cookie Birds are spreading their wings. Defs the fastest growers of the bunch at this stage. Unfortunately we lost one, seems to have damped off.(bottom right) They have also only had rain water so far. Se la vie. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  19. Awe, The Vanilla Kush babies are doing well. Managed to pull the straggler through after some tlc, now reaching for the light. Only giving rain water. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  20. Morning, Make that 6/6 Mr Joe...[emoji3] So I had a problem with this one bean, seems it is was tuff nut. Decided to try something, bit of a hail Mary as I had zero expectations. Took it out the soil and scraped the edge, then manually cracked it by splitting the 2 halves with the fine cutting edge of my pocket knife. Back onto the germination pads and 48hrs later.........[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  21. Hey Mr nice guy Welcome to the forum. Plenty knowlegable people here. I grow outdoors with my own soil. As you know that ''soil'' brand is not highly regarded for reasons. (wtf [emoji16]) What I can see is that the bottom 2 seedlings are struggling and presenting with burnt leaf tips/crispy tips. Possibly due to the soil ph or the soil being too 'hot'. Most cannabis seedlings don't need any nutrients at all for the first 3 weeks- only water. (Not even epsom) Would suggest transplanting to a more suitable medium like Freedom farms or Organics matter if possible. Cheers. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  22. Gonna try the mobile version. I'm used to tapatalk cause it keeps all my other forums together in one place. Ease of use and access was lekker, but Tapatalk does have its own problems. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
