looking good man! i think you may be the leader of the competition at the moment with your lovely ladies! if you want them to stretch a bit, give them a tad less light.... either dim down to 200w (still a shit ton if you ask me) or raise the light 30cm

Lazy Sunday night post for you all!! Came home from not seeing the plants in 2 days and decided to clean up the lowers which are taking up space now and will become nothing... And be Chopped later anyway so why not now right? Growth is looking amaze balls on both plants... One is clearly ahead, but both ladies are very happy indeed. Please.... For your perusal

My ACDC lights too... It makes taking veg pics tricky!! It is because they use an electro magnet to drive them...

I have topped both and new growth is taking off!! Damn I love my totes

Bump @420SA @HappyDaze we gonna need something soon man... anything (preferably something current)...if its not too late already

Thanks @Prom, please note that i have asked other competitors to refrain from utilizing the sun for this Indoor growoff. consensus is that pictures may be taken in the sun, but no sunbathing or outdoor time for the ladies. unfortunately we will need to deal with eishkom another way.

Cloning a single mother to fill up a tent, cons?
CreX replied to Orcanic's topic in Cloning & Propagation
fastest to the next harvest yes...but not at all faster and more efficient than using cuttings... sure...the initial work will take longer... but subsequent harvests will be much much faster... first harvest may take 6 months to get to... but thereafter you are set up to do a harvest every 2.5 months when you say 9 clones at the end of flower, do you mean to only take cuttings at the end of flower? because that will cost you months of work with revegging and training effort. take cuttings before the plants go into flower, not during -
that spontaneous moves are always exciting hahaha..... ill be staring at my plants for 30 min, and then BAM i have topped everything in a wild flurry in a matter of minutes hahaha i have topped both my ladies so far a few days ago, i should have 4 nice colas shortly hehe

Sorry man @donzomb!! i hope all is well in your space man! keep well and still follow along for the ride!

sjoe! nicely sized indeed! those stakes will for sure come in handy! i am not sure they have been trained right for an indoor environment, so outdoor may be the way to go...unless you dont mind using like 2 or 3 or your lights and flower them like that. but maybe buy a few new seeds and show this granny what some real weed looks like!!!

oh!! and you gotta invest in a decent sprayer!!! i started like everyone with the R5 hand sprayer that you gotta keep squeezing to get it to spray...nasty nasty sprayers. most stores with a garden section will have either a 1l or 2l or sometimes bigger, pump action pressure sprayer. in my opinion... you need this in your tool kit https://leroymerlin.co.za/sprayer-5l-fragram-with-adjust-nozzel-81455497?sfdr_ptcid=32806_617_621715987&sfdr_hash=dde123ffd47581368350ba565f863cf7&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2NyFBhDoARIsAMtHtZ5jXm6uSbGWavdcm6vxJsD830X7NfzeZ01ihG8Y59HsHSQ2MZ8pYFEaAqg0EALw_wcB https://www.builders.co.za/Garden-%26-Pets/Garden-Hand-Tools/Garden-Spray-Bottles/Garden-Master-Pressure-Sprayer-(2L)/p/000000000000392303?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2NyFBhDoARIsAMtHtZ6bcmBebKFKQYkK4TaDTpMe0NljxlXHg4zmK6zp9EjTsJaCOTVddcIaAp8bEALw_wcB

shot for the thread man! i have a lot to say about foliar regimes, but wont go into too much detail just yet, lets see what the peeps have to say. for me i like to keep it simple, i must admit that my efforts can be somewhat low and spontaneous, for example last night i found some white flies on my one plant, and found the tiniest spot of PM on another plant, so i gave them a spinosad spray and a copper soap spray separately. that should keep my ladies in check for at least a month. i like to add copious amounts of fulvic acids to my sprays and a lil bit of kelpak, i did some research which i cant find now, where there was a control plant, a light sprayed plant and a heavy sprayed plant, they were sprayed with 5 parts fulvic and 1 part kelpak, and the results showed that the plant grew branchier and healthier with fortnightly sprays. but i spray once a month sometimes less, and only with what i think will help my situation. i trust my plants roots and my feeding schedule so that i dont run into deficiencies therefore no need to foliar too often, more so for pest management. i have foliar sprayed with almost every product you can think of, but found that if i K.I.S.S then things seem to go smoother. Humic acids - too many tiny fine particles make it hard to foliar, but i like it more than fulvic to foliar Fulvic Acids - very good as a chelate function and a wetting agent Kelpak - makes roots resistant to nasties and plant generally responds well in loooow doses H2O2 - i found the claimed uses not very useful or effective calmag - only for a deficiency epsom salts - only for deficiency milk - found it is useful for powdery mildew, and the milk seems to make the plant reach for the light seagrow - outdoor foliar for battling plants, wasnt too effective Neem - if used regularly it is useful, but there are better products Pyrol - very effective at contact killing bugs, but not eggs Spinosad - effective against bugs, but is systemic copper soap - very effective at killing and preventing powedery mildew plain water - for shits and giggles emprosoil - adds useful bacteria to the leaf surface sillica - im new to this one and need to learn how it works compost teas - adds useful bacteria to the leaf surface

what they could do is remove the connector and join the cable straight... you lose out a bit on the ease of expansion... but wont have this trouble again either. buzzing sound would mean i have open arcing in the joint.... ultra huge fire hazard... disaster waiting to happen. normally there is no buzzing, but the join will be hot... sometimes too hot to touch ...where it should not be hot... your cable should remain cool... few degrees at most above room temp if anything
-
i have had good results with the just cannabis soil... but i mixed in 1 part coco 1 part perlite and 1 part just cannabis soul, that worked real well
-
Hi @Stefan unfortunately, loadshedding likely had nothing to do with this. this is the result of what is called a hot joint/connection, and is caused by the cable not fitting correctly or snuggly enough into the plug. basically, the pin that burnt was juuuuuuuuuust touching its female counterpart, which causes a small amount of resistance. the resistance makes the join or connection hot, and the heat can cause additional resistance, which can lead to this. you are very lucky man... this is exactly how most home fires start. i use the computer cables all over my grow and go around and touch them regularly to identify if i have any hot joints so i can sort it out. with these its ease to resolve, you just bend the pins open a little bit more which makes a tighter fit... in your case though... you will need to replace the connection block on the light, as well as the cable. check with the manufacturer to see if they can help you out

4 in a 1.2? thats a lot of additional veg time lol... id rather flood the tent SoG style, or with my totes. i get 6 plants per tote and can fit 2.5 totes in a 1.2 space... or 15 plants . same canopy area covered, but with 4 times the amount of root systems contributing to the final harvest. although, if i ever do decide to comply with the law, 4 per 1.2 would be the way i would need to go.... bleh
-
LOL if only everything was fixed with MGSO4. @DamDavei dont think thats the case this time... the plants are tiny and should still be able to feed themselves still if no other nutes were added yet... i think there are issues with the root zone... potentially too hot soil. the Jo Ma se soil right? the pics of other plants on 17 days show growing ladies so i do think you need to fix this, and soon unfortunately, i dont think any amount of epsom will fix this problem
-
whats up man!!! dust that shit off and plug it in man!!! what got you to hang it up for 10 years man?? really stoked to have you onboard! stick around man! its always great to have some extra experience on the forum!

noice noice... some of your auto experience coming through? i generally leave those leaves until a few weeks before flip when i clean my ladies up and shave their legs

Cloning a single mother to fill up a tent, cons?
CreX replied to Orcanic's topic in Cloning & Propagation
there are no cons... only pros you will need to take at least double the amount of cuttings you think you will need, so that at least the amount you need will A) Root, and B be uniform some may be very eager growers, and some not so eager ones, choose the good growers and toss the rest, and then you will have a ultra uniform grow from a single source cultivar
