Cheap but effective LED lights for noobs on a budget
CreX replied to Extreme_Noob's topic in LED Lighting
look at us...none of us can read lol... @Extreme_Noob clearly mentions he has 3 autos already! i would make use of the sun then man... Autos dont need the amount of light extended at all, so you dont need a light at night for them, rather spend your 500 bucks on some fertilizer products that your whole garden could enjoy too -

so now that we havent helped you in the least, here is some positives you could try that would work better for you how about an outdoor Auto plant or 3? you still have the sun available and the bud you grow from the autos will definately impress you... wont be much, but likely better than what your weed budget could buy so definitely think about that -

you asked and i answered man... you are stretching what is possible veeeeeeeeeeery thin. if you want to grow dank weed... unfortunately your budget will not allow it. you could try an ACDC flood light FL-150-CW, they go for about 475 or so. but it is only barely okay for one plant in flower and the but wont impress you man. -

just a note that Thrips have 5 life stages, and 2 of them are spent in the soil meduim where they grow and mature and then come back up the plant to lay more eggs. they can live for about 45 days. they are bastards

Hey @Bos!! You are on the right track... But what about hanging an outdoor light? Just because the sun goes down doesn't mean your ladies must sleep! I strung up a light into my garden... Looked like a random ball floating in the sky Hahahaha. But.... It helped me get the outdoor flip right.... Kept the plants in veg until March the 1st and managed to completely skip the slow change of daylight hours from messing with my outdoor flowers! The result is denser flowers and way way waaaaay reduced leaf to bud ratio. Almost indoor quality flower from your outdoor garden. For that to work, you could probably use your 100w flood light and hang it a meter and a half above your outdoor canopy... Leave it on all night or just a few hours to give the plants an idea that it's still awake time. Otherwise your indoor veg station will work, but as I can already see... It's gonna raise your elec bill unnecessarily

yo man! you wont ever get banned from this forum for opening up our eyes to this decent attempt at fucking the general public over... thanks for this man. i doubt any one this forum could do anything about it either way... but when the next person decides to check out a review for Trophy seeds, they land here and decide to not spend their hard earned moola on this crap. and you have helped the whole forum stay away from them.

Nice man! good job on getting better tech and gear man!! and that looks like a decent light there...looks like a SANlight S2 or something? with an ACDC next to it...rocking man! next i would get a PH pen and an EC pen so you can test your soil runoff if you suspect funky happening

Hey man unfortunately co2 meters are all gonna break the bank haha. Sounds like you have all your other limiting factors out of the way? Your plants are getting more light than they can use... Nutrients on point... Airflow and no watering problems? And have you sealed your tent 101%? Youre trying to push yourself to the next level in your grow? You are reaching breeders yeild markers and feel you have room to grow more? Then I think you are on the right track... But if you are not meeting all the above marks... Co2 is unfortunately not going to bump your yeilds up by that much. Co2 is a dangerous gas as it can displace oxygen in the room and raise the co2 to an uncomfortable level if you don't have a meter that can regulate your supply. Im not trying to discourage you... But I also don't want you to waste the gas and your time and not see a marked improvement in your yeilds
-
LOL like it was ever dangerous hahaha
-
interesting to note how they grow then. whose gonna take it!! soil or coco
-
I agree... Soil looks fine... It certainly brought you decent looking harvests!! ... But looks like it gets pretty packed... So adding some perlite or even coco to loosen it up a bit would go a long way as cannabis loves easy draining soil/meduims

What's up @Brain!! Outdoor season! Starting now would be quite disappointing unfortunately. This is the time of year to start growing massive outdoor dongs on the already large and prepared bushes. Starting now would lead to very small plants with minimal bud unfortunately. How are you planning on going forward? What kind of soil does your garden have in it? Will you be growing in pots or the ground? I am on the fence about the Autos... At this time of year... I would maybe get a few auto seeds and give it a go... Even if you mess up, you will still get more bud from the autos than you will from starting now with photos. Hit us up with some soil pics and maybe give us some insight to your current green experience... Weed or not weed... Can you grow shit in your garden already or are you really new to the whole plants and growing thing?

The only reason I moved away from acdc lights is because I could afford the quantam boards lol. But I do like the more spaced out panel. I have a 3rd design, where it is 4 mini led panels but in one fitting... It gives a greater spread than the newer acdc models... And I feel it also puts out more light... Even though the draw is still 150!! So I think you got a deal with the slightly larger panel footprint. Another note is that I also find them fuck hot... But if I put a fan on it... Little pc fan... I gained 20% luminous intensity. Went from 9k lux to close to 11k without adjusting the distance of the light or plants. So definitely add a system to cool them a bit to get more out of them

You dont have to ask me twice! im in!! I rate some of the purse could go towards trophies for various catagories, or at least 1st 2nd and 3rd? I for one would muuuuch rather have a display of my successes over a prize of sorts. The respect and recognition that comes with a Trophy is second to none
-
Snap!! hahaha
-
looking very delicious man! well done! light alone doesnt grow dank like that
-
Welcome man! and dont be shy to ask those questions! as silly as they sound to you...we are likely to have an answer that will put your mind at ease peace man!!

way less complications. also, you can take much larger cuttings that would normally save you a few weeks of growing if you are looking to go perpetual
