  1. if the plants are in the outdoors, with no netting or tunnel or protection from the outside, i would say your biggest issue would be your neighbors growing males... after that would be wind pollination , and then maybe bees, ... but all of it is yes
  2. i agree with @Dank it looks to me like some sort or lady bug, maybe one still developing its colours. At any rate, if its not making visible kak... then leave it be, it might be chowing the bugs that do cause kak
  3. whats up @PeeWee! i just read your thread and i must note some things. i see peeps saying they are worried about your plant... i for one am also worried. your new leaves look fine... but you need to pay attention to your lower leaves. your lower leaves look like they have a magnesium deficiency, and in some of your newer pics it looks like your tips are burning. how are you dealing with advice? if you read the word deficiency, do you feed it more of your plant food? currently in the last pics, the leaves looked better, but they were just the top leaves again. how often do you feed her? my advice is as follows. buy a box of epsom salts from the store, and follow the directions on the box for lawns... its tough to over do epsom salts, so dont stress too much... and then also, maybe skip a feed or 2... those burnt tips tell me you have over done it on the nutes. and then as for your burning question... your plant is just too young to tell sex... if you really wanna know, you can flip the plant to 1212 for 3-4 days... you wont be able to tell by then yet either... but after the 4 days, put them back in veg and they should show sex within a day or 2 from there. get those deficiencies and toxicitys sorted though! healthy dose of magnesuim sulphate(epsom salts) and hold back on the food for a bit and when you feed again, half the dose and take it from there
  4. that and just carry on not telling a soul what i do in my spare time
  5. Exactly... If cape cannabis can lease grow space, what's to stop anyone else from doing it
  6. Done! And yea... I'm most worried about nosey ass peeps calling the pop, an the pop being nosey enough to come count my shit... I feel grow space should be regulated and not plant count... Outdoor grow space can be larger than indoor grow space... But to me regulating plant count is more of a pain in the ass than abiding by area constraints. Like I have about 6sqm of grow space... Surely calculating the upper limits of what a plant/plants can grow per sqm should be a deciding factor? Like... What if someone sucks at growing... Certainly none of us fine 420SAins... But what if. He has 20x 15cm plants that are in full flower? Not knowing what the plants are capable of becoming, but is now in the wrong for trying to meet his 1.2kg allowed quota that he still won't meet with tiny plants...
  7. Yes... But no. The harvest will be tiny if anything after a month of reveg. So to get this right, you will need to leave a fair amount of your harvest on the plant, as well as plenty fan leaves if you hope to have a shot. And then the reveg process may take upwards of 2 months before you see decent normal growth again... And then you will need to veg it for a while again.... And only then you might come right with a decent 2nd harvest. My advice is plant another seed or few... Or learn how to take and care for cuttings. The damage to your initial harvest will not be worth your while bro
  8. Nah not at all, I have the net suspended above the canopy with wires. So when I am putting plants in it, I raise the net high up, place the plants, and then lower the net down slowly and spread the stems where I want them. Then let them recoup after the stress for a week or so, further adjusting some colas... And the rest is history
  9. Yo man! Have you tried this method before? I have run into some real problems like this before. If I were you, I would do your spacing now with the colas, and let them grow through the net for a week. If you don't, the issues I have noticed are the following. Where you keep the plant under the net, the colas form small... Many... But small and nothing to talk of... The main Cola is so sensitive yo... You open it up and flip right away, and all the energy gets used by the lower coolers trying to make something of themselves... They don't... And you lose out big time on Cola size. My advice is do the Cola separation, veg for another week, or more... For the plants to be about 10-15cm above that net, then flip. Let them stretch without adjusting them again, you adjusted them earlier already... The stretch is different in a scrog than it is on plants without training. You apply the formula to only what's above the net... So roughly double whatever is above the net will be your final height.... If you work with triple then you should be safe with headroom. You might need an additional layer of netting now though... To keep the fat colas from flopping over!
  10. Welcome @Groen Seeds! Glad to have you stop on our lovely forum and community! This is great community that is dedicated to finding the best deals in town and abroad! 11. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong... My apologies @Bay Seeds, I didn't mean to be so blunt. I'm all for DIY and on the cheap... But just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I have tried many times in my grow experience to grow with cfls... High powered ones, low powered ones... They all suck compared to what else you can get on the cheap nowadays. So again... Maybe I was out of place and too quick to put you down.... And I apologize for that... But I will not apologize for my counter arguments for the cheap floodlights if cheap is the way you have go about things at the moment.
  12. And I'm saying there's more than one way to skin a cat.... And you are spot on lol... I wonder how I ever thought a 150 would put out less heat than a 15w globe... Jesus I must be fucken retarded or something to think you were going to run all 35 globes at once... What a fire hazard that would be right!? I seriously doubt your contraption would push out over 20k lumens at 40cm, have you even measured? The options I gave go over 40k at 40cm. LOL sure you need more than one spectrum... So buy a different spectrum flood light for flower. You are wrong to think that your invention is the way a beginner should DIY his grow on the cheap.... If you want to live in the 80's then by all means do so... But don't dis my options because they showed yours up.
  13. Sweet dude welcome. I hit you up with a follow there on IG. Looks like you have made it to harvest with a few plants! Also looks like you have come to the right place to up your game to the next level! The sunshines that grace this platform will be more than happy to guide you on your journey on growing the greatest herb.
  14. i dono man, every bone in my body just cringed at the thought of 35x15w of outdated inefficient lighting. you could get ready built ACDC flood lights that have a better spectrum, lower heat output, better canopy penetration, better efficiency per watt.. https://www.acdc.co.za/products/220-240-150w-cool-white-led-alum-flood-light-ip65?variant=32751529689165 150w for under 400 bucks. and sure, 150w is very shy of your 525w, and 400x4 is quite a bit heftier than your sub 1k light. but please bruh, trust me when i say i would rather bet on the 150w LED fitting to outperform the CFL setup. 2x 150w light fittings for 800 if you want a landslide victory.
  15. What do the plants look like?
  16. same training as usual. often the mutation corrects itself in time
  17. @1000Hills Nursery yo yo man, how did the Haifa treat you? any advice?
  18. what is raising the humidity in the room? i know my tent room hovers below 60% if my window is open a certain gap. the more open the window, the lower the RH could you possibly keep a window open in the room? or more open if you have one open?
  19. I guess it was just what I was exposed to. I grew up without weed until I was about 18...never saw it... Never smelled it... Nothing... I grew up in a small town called Amanzimtoti and was very sheltered. When I was introduced to weed... It was super low quality crushed leaves... And it staaaaank.... But that was later known as proper jut... But where ever I did get any weed that I was told is great, was usually called skunk... 20 Rand banky of brown muck... Regrettably I didn't know any better... But if I had to blame someone for giving me this outlook on skunk... It would be my early days dealers trying to make whatever buck they could... Forever tarnishing my views on skunk weed. For me, my ears perk up if someone whispers about a cheese they have... Or a blueberry they know of... Rooibard if I had to pick a south African favorite.
  20. Shot for the clarity brother. Donations and charity causes are really great man, so props to you. And as for the seeds, as much as they may be decent breeding stock... It's just not the strains I'm personally looking to grow... I know you are a fan of the landraces, but I think you are starting a bit too far back for most new guys who are more interested in current genetics. Growing up I was introduced to jut weed. And among my group of friends, skunk weed was never a reference to good or great weed... Always referred to kak cheap skyf as skunk. Also, the skunk is very sativa and not entirely suitable for beginners in my opinion, unless you have a ton of outdoor space and privacy. The Afgan though, sounds good. Nice compact breeding projects for indoor. Im not tryna diss your post, it is a great initiative!! But even more honesty... Is peeps that are ready to learn how to breed would likely also have an idea of what they want to breed, possibly they even have the breeding plants to use. Peace and love bro
  21. whats up yo! really and truly dont mean to bust your bubble.. but i can buy this exact book off amazon for 300 bucks give or take, the paper back one, and the seeds i dont think are great unless you have more info on them? what else could you include to make the deal sweeter? any other grow books you could include?
  22. I feel the little clip fans are not as useful as a larger fan than can push more air at a lower speed. The makro cheapie are really worth it imo... Last longer than the clip fans too
  23. any outdoor street lights or house lights that might shine on them at night? by the end of September it will be too late to flower marijuana outdoors without a lot of effort moving the plants in every night at the same time. if you leave them, they will not finish flowering, but instead, start growing again, and you wont get another chance to flower outdoor until like march next year. are they in pots or in the ground?
  24. It looks like they might even be trying to reveg.. How much light are they getting, and what are the strains?
  25. Agreed lol, those things are too small to be able to decern any kind of issue. Just keep going, they look fine bro
