  1. What!! We were putting kids in jail for pot!? Kids!!! I'm no goody two shoes... But speaking to my brother and sisters... Weed is freaken rampant in schools... Amongst other way worse substances. I can just imagine that being exposed to jail time for such a mild Mr meaner would wreck the kids mental outlook on almost everything... Life, relationships, friends, future job applications... Pretty much snuffing out that child's life before it even begins... Sies South Africa. Thanks for sharing man! This a really good day for some good news
  2. @TheUltimateNoob, I have had fairly good success with cuttings from the newer growth. Trick isn't in your method... But slightly before. An analogy is if you are in a moving car... Going downhill... And the engine straight up vanishes into thin air... Will the car stop or keep going downhill? It will keep going!! So now the same principle apples in cuttings... They do not stop transpiring for quite a while after they are cut... A good 12 hours or so before they start not sucking everything up. This is important to note. Because if you are cutting and putting the cut into a jiffy within an hour of cutting... You best make that jiffy as wet as possible for the next few hours, or the fresh cut stem will start pulling in air... And then it's game over. So what I do now is I take my cuttings... Stick em in a cup of water, and leave them over night... The more cuttings you take the more water they will suck up from the cup so make sure all the stems are well below the waterline. And then I proceed with normal methods... With a dome if the cuttings are in jiffies or rapid rooter A week and a bit and you will see roots like @1000Hills Nursery And as for the symmetry... Nothing wrong with alrernating nodes... Normally leads to decent branching and still a nice shape. The only way you gonna get symmetry is from a seed... And then you not sure if the pheno is gonna be good yet anyways so a symmetrical cuttings isn't actually worth anything other than visual value
  3. Okay cool cool! That will work very well! Just be careful about the outdoor... This the season for reveg changes. We'll... It will be in 2 months time when you are ready to harvest, which might throw a spanner in the works. But should be good either way
  4. Ah okay, I stand corrected haha! Knowing what MH and HPS can do, and recently reading the double ended tubes have better colour and output, I rate it will work. But you should be able to get 1-3 plants under it... Four might be a push and diminished harvest might occur. Keen to see how it does though
  5. Double ended globe? Sounds like CMH? I don't think you get double ended HPS or MH Bulbs
  6. That's the shit haha... And you can use it for all your household plants
  7. If you are aiming for organic... Then you gotta let your water stand... If you aren't messing with microbes and shit... Then straight out the tap is perfectly acceptable.
  8. @Master_Gis right though... You have signs of magnesium deficiency. I would add some magnesium sulphate to your next feed. Epsom salts is the stuff you need Buy a box from pnp for like 20 bucks... And give some to her... It's pretty hard to over do it. But I would go in at a level teaspoon and see the difference. Repeat this once a week for 2 weeks and then monitor from there.
  9. But really... Just let it grow as is... The less you fiddle the better
  10. What's uuuup! Yea man you don't have to stress at all... It's quite a fine line for burying seeds, few mm too deep and they never come out... Few mm too shallow and they put their excess energy into a long stem. Which isn't bad... I mean... They are alive hehe I would leave the stem as is and only adjust if if it's laying horizontal. At an angle and you have nothing to worry about...
  11. LOL makes you sound like Dozer from the matrix. "it's a single celled protein combined with synthetic aminos, vitamins and minerals, everything the body needs"
  12. If you wanted to insulate your outdoor pots, I wouldn't use the aquarium heater for that... I mean... Your idea is sound and should work... But it's not necessary for outdoor. I would rather make a foam barrier for your outdoor pots. You using fabric pots or plastic currently? This will be easier with plastic pots. Anyways, what you do is build a cardboard frame around the pot, leaving about 5cm on each side. Then you put your pot in a plastic bag so that the pot fits snug in the bag, then back into the box frame you made. Then get a tube of expands foam from builders, I think they have a range that's like 125 for 700ml. Spray that in between your gap and let it set. Bobs your Aunty and fannys your aunt, you have a cooler box for your pots to retain heat way better. I would do this over the pump and heater
  13. Shot man, I'm thinking of adding it to my fresh water supply if that's the case. Make a pre buffered source of feed water. Maybe magnesium sulphate and silica
  14. Sprout teas are great! Full of amino acids and vital growing blocks for all types of plants! Another tea to consider is your bokashi teas, which are anaerobic teas. And then you get your aerobic teas with oxygen consuming microbes and fungi. Check my signature out for my teas thread! I should actually add onto it sometime... Need to redesign my vortex brewer

    Nutriplex

I also started out with nutriplex, and honestly, it was really great! And cheap... You just have to familiarize yourself with the makeup of each bottle so you know what bottle has what... From there you can teach yourself to play with the schedule and fix deficiencies as you spot them. Iv moved away from Nutriplex for the sole reason that I can buy cheaper nutes... Like hortimix. But nutriplex will grow you some nice dank

    2nd run

Yea... Time is very very short... I don't think peeps can finish an outdoor grow if they flip now. Will likely try reveg if left too long. Spring is 1st of spring, but tons of shit is growing before then already. If you guys plan on using the sun much longer, you must be diligent with bringing them in at night to sleep for as close to 12 hours as possible... I'd even say you can go up to 14 hours of darkness for the last 2or3 weeks of flower
  17. Still quite the ride to go on for a new grower!! What have you got that is blowing your mind so much that you want to make more of her? Be careful that you aren't gonna reverse a somewhat underperforming/lacking plant. This process is done for the sole reason of preserving genetics and making fems if I'm not mistaken? What are you trying to reverse bro beans?
  18. I ha e also been playing around with silicone additives... I don't know your experience... But it's making my res go frothy? Growth is sick on my DWC as well so I guess it can't be too bad hehe. Those groot fingers are looking great man!! Haha
  19. Potentiometers are just a variable resistor... So you should be able to pick one up at builders even... Or I dono where you stay, but GT electronics in boksburg will have. Otherwise as @Jimmy-zsaid, rs components should have, but expect a bit of a buck on top of the otherplaces
  20. Phew! I managed to get my lot down before yours came down! I would have been royally pissed if your babies beat mine from seed to harvest in the space mine did
  21. The site is not affiliated with B&B as much as we would love their support as a new seed bank on the site... As for your technical issues lol.... Have you tried turning it off and back on again??
  22. Local seed stock in SA is unfortunately miles below what the okes in USA and EU are doing. So even if it is the best of the best local genetics.... It is unliky to rival some simple imported strains. But if you can get a lineage of the seed then we could give you more advice
  23. You would need bubble bags to get the low quality hash off the trim, then press the hash to squeeze the rosin out. But the price of a squisher.... Mad
