Very cool, I haven't really thought about this much... But I can see it's value. I will go back to the the key, which is diversity. If you have established a strong microbial colony in your medium with teas, you will only be adding to the diversity with new tea recipes, bacteria /fungi dominant teas... The new tea doesn't replace, or deminish the current microbial life In the medium. If the good bacteria has colonized the roots properly, and the mycorrhizal fungi has established a good food web... Changing the type of tea you make, really won't make a massive difference. As for the nitrogen fixing bacteria, you shouldn't be feeding the plants much nitrogen in flower anyways... And adding a fungi Dom tea won't lessen the work the existing microbes are doing. Remember, all we are doing is innoculating the medium, and making sure we keep a good amount, by more teas. So if you were to only start with teas in flower, I'd make a more fungi leaning tea like you mentioned, and if I started in veg, I would make a bacteria Dom tea. Or stick to my 5050 mix vibes DIVERSITY IS THE KEY

I made such a nice tea over the weekend, but forgot to take any pics!! I used my normal shit... Stood water, Humic acids Molasses - I ran out and didn't have enooooough, so I added some brown sugar just to get it to the end of the brew. Small handful of oats - love it Mycorrhizal fungi Off milk And a sample of soil from an old pile of soil... Smelled earthier than most soils I smell... And boy I was not disappointed!! Every tea I make seems to be just so much better than the last haha. The ladies loved it and showed me by praying. I'll take pics next time guys!! Ps- I dump the solid bits from the tea, left over soil from the tea bag, and some tea.... To my cacti and pineapple plant... So much goodness right there

These are looking amazing! What day are they again?

It lives up to its name, super citrus terps, very pleasnt smell.... But compared to what it is next to... It's pretty piddly, even though it's the fastest drinker, and has a whole QB288 to itself. Might just be the wrong pheno set

Yes that's a great idea... It's outdoor season for flower and your thought process is sound... The great outdoors will take care of the pests. It could still take time, and you will need to use the sunniest part of your outdoors to keep the light they were absorbing constant. I would refrain from taking them back inside for any amount of time... There will be pests on the plant... Just not as many... And then you will be back to square one.... Rather take them out, clean the grow space... And start fresh with your next round of genetics

Indoor breeding facilities should be the only kind of facilities.. Outdoor breeding sounds alot like pollen chucking with extra steps. It can take years to find the right parents to breed with... Thousands of seeds. Careful back crossing... Pain staking culling and taking cuttings of hopefuls. Genetics preservation after a successful run is another ball game.

I I don't really have a runoff problem, but what I do have is that false floor mat that goes on the floor of the tent, and when I do water or feed I only water until runoff, so not a lot of runoff for me... At worst the runoff pools in the tent and the plants reabsorb some of it back into the pots, or I let it evaporate... Small tribute to the low jhb RH haha At worst My RH will climb up to 60% before all the water evaporates and then it's back down to 45 until the next watering haha

Seems like I have been neglecting my veg area... Well... At least neglected to show you guys All the plants are pretty happy and thrips are under control... Must do another neem soon though. Check it!

The rest of your grow will need to be on point to hit that 150g off one plant. Light is crucial, but so is fresh air and good nutrient regime, practice, finesse... Research.
-
Sheeet... Yea it might be a waste hey... The mites work like a charm... But they can take a good 3 weeks to do the job... Which won't leave you in any better position than before. Fucken thrips
-
Still zero colour hey. She has a crazy distinct guava smell... Like mother fucken guavas off the tree... Truely a great smelling plant... A tiny bud broke off about a week ago, and I dried it and smoked it... And it was good. I think she still has a small bit left to grow... And for some of the mentioned seeds, although it might be too late for seeds at this point. @PsyCLown, would you like me to post the outcome here, when it's done?

Nice sunny area haha!! So good on doing the right thing and buying the most important part of your future grow.... Decent genetics!! Now that that's out the way, what else have you got for us? Indoor/outdoor? Lights? Grow space available? Let's see if we can put you on the first time right track
-
Leca - Lekker Truely just a play on words.
-
Sheesh, I'd like to suck on something moist and leca

I'm very excited hehe... This will be one of my sweetest grows yet so I do have this proud feeling Even though I got the plants when they were big, I think I have guided them and looked after them enough to have a great pride feeling about it
-
Love it!! Seems like you do have a bit of a green finger.... Welcome!
-
Good lawd if feels like an eternity since the last update!! The ladies did stretch alil more and have started packing on the budsites development. I completed a massive defoliation on day 21, and here are the results. It is day 26

Have any pics of the plants?
-
And it sounds like they are outdoor plants? Outdoor pots tend to really dry out fast. MPK of your choosing being Hortimix?
-
Wait for her to dry out a bit... So that she's light enough to carry solo, if possible. Then take a black bag and wrap the pot in the bag and tie the bag around the stem. Then you can lay her horizontally for the duration of the trip in your boot, and then bobs your Aunty you're all set! Alil medium will fall out, but that's why you have the black bag tied around the stem, it will prevent lots of dirt all over your car, and makes the whole process easier

Fuck yea man!!!! The brown will never go away, so if you start with the teas as early as you can, then the roots will stay pretty and white. Congrats on the control group test!! I hope all the non believers convert due to your success Here's a Pic of the roots of some of my clones that got some tea. As for the brown roots, I would maybe cut them off completely and let the new growth do the things... The brown gunk is a food source for the bennies... But it's really unsightly and ultimately not needed. Bury what is dead

Okay, keep us posted. I would say that you need that in line fan... If you are not bringing fresh air into the box, the plants will not get enough carbon dioxide and your yeild will be small... What we are trying to do is simulate the perfect outdoor environment, in a closed space. What you cannot skimp on are the 3 following things. Light - you are replacing the sun, so it has to be decent Air - plants breath, and consume the little carbon dioxide in small spaces Nutrients - you need to give the plant the right food at the right stage of their lives. Without those three basic constructs, your grow will suffer. I am really just trying to guide you in a more prosperous direction. Peace and love
-
And just having them out in the open isn't possible? I really feel that you will have issues with heat. Also, the plastic covering... Is is completely light proof?
-
I agree with @Mambawana, you can get them pretty much anywhere... But buy quite a few extra as they do tend to break frequently. Maybe take your pump with as each size pump uses different diaphragm sizes

I agree, coco let's so much water through that it really isn't necessary for the perlite. I actually feel that coco perlite drains way to fast.
