One thing I am not... Is a baller But since the additional plants have arrived... I do need a plan. Currently I close the rooms door and the windows, and the Temps don't change much... But humidity has gone up from a constant 25, to a reasonable 49% and the plants have started praying... So I must check the VPD graph again... But I think I'm okay for now

I'll have to figure out that part... The only window I have as an exhaust is right next to my neighbors balcony... And I fear they will notice a danky dank smell wafting past them. I have been thinking what to do... And what I can do... And ideally I would love to have an aircon in the room... And some kind of CO2 injection... Either by the yeast bottle... Or a bunsen burner. I will need a carbon filter too.

Okidoki. I must have read something that led me to think there was light leaks.
-
Sweet, to each their own I guess... No matter how your grow style works for you, I still think you need to get the light leaks sorted

Thanks! It's not my handy work though, just taken over some plants. I have Citradelic sunsets Juggernaut x slurricane Chiquita Banana French cookies LSP Early lemon berry Aurora Kush Ghost train haze Tropicana banana Pcg cookies x keylime pie I gave them all a feed yesterday of hortimix. At 850 ppm and pH 6.3 Seriously going to need an aircon soon though... the room gets pretty hot... Upper 20s, not quite 30... But yea

What's up all!! Merry Christmas and all that jazz! I feel like my Xmas presents came early this year... By a few days hehehe Okay so I have quite a full grow op at the moment. Take a look at this! 1. Cloning and propagation area 2.mid veg to full veg 3.flower zone

I agree with PsyCLown... Those ladies still look like they have a full 2 months to go still. And the eskom power nap... Looks rediculously bright for lights out. How light proof is your grow area?

@Yodaspike If you have all the bits except a ballast then I'm sure you can hit up builders or any large hardware store, or a lighting warehouse.. They will have loose ballasts for you to buy. A new one would set you back about 800 bucks, maybe alil less. Just make sure you have the following : 400w ballast Igniter Capacitor And the fitting for the bulb ofcoarse And as @Mambawana said... It won't cover your whole grow area, but it will get a couple of plants from seed to harvest... And you will be happy with the results Okay... So we have handles one aspect of your grow. Keep us updated on what you do.. We really want to help you grow the best you can! Next question... Will you be growing in soil... Or in a different medium? Hydroponics or coco?
-
HI Yoda... I have a 400w setup to sell. Please don't use those lights you plan to use... You will not be happy with the results. I am really not trying to discourage your passion... But if you stay on this course... You will not grow anything decent, and your money would be better spent buying what you normally buy.

@PsyCLownwhat do you think here? I would go for something in 3000k for flower, and if you really want to, you can add some red light. Incandescent bulbs are the worst you can do for growing... I have successfully germinated and vegged for a few weeks... But growth was super shit. For your budget, and for 1 plant... I feel you might have better luck with an HPS setup... @Mambawana seeing as you're in durbs too... Maybe you could offer him an HPS light? Alternatively I have one that I am looking to sell.

What's up lionking! There are literally a bazillion places to start... But let's start here... Indoor or outdoor? How many plants are you thinking of keeping? What is a loose budget you have for supplies
-
Nice man, so straight forward and simple... And it could save a shit ton of bucks if you are looking for a bunch of them
-
What density are you getting? Looks nice and frosty!

5. Avoid mirrors and tinfoil... Rather just have a Matt white wall... Paint it with a cheap ass pva and be done... Next best is a tent that has all the reflectors

Repotted them all into their next pots. All happy and healthy and ready to grow! Forgot to take a Pic haha... I'll post one later

So my new space is slowly developing and I have decided to pop some Aurora Kush seeds. I popped 8 into jiffies and 8 popped out

A res elevator lol... Now that would be a luxury hahaha... Having the buckets off the ground just make it easier to get to... You don't have to try crawl under the net and peek into the res... Raising the res just gives you more space to fit in and do the things like defoliation from under the canopy. It's a fine line though, have it too high, and you are gonna need a small step ladder to adjust bud on the net because you can't reach it haha

Brother... You are talking the the tea meister himself Take a look under the organic grow section... There are lots of topics on teas. Also, I built a vortex brewer and opened a grow diary for it, check it out and let me know! Ps - do you have the parts for a DWC? And do you have enough info to get you started?
-
I love my DWC. I made a topic under the hydroponics section on DWC, take a look and see if it answers your questions and don't stop asking!

Very interesting, I have also run the first few weeks of bloom with MH lamps to try reduce stretch in early bloom. I can't say definitively that it made much difference. But the theory is solid. I actually found that a more full spectrum, so the HPS and MH together, the plants grew best in the section where the light mixes in the middle... It could be because the light is more intense in that area... But I dono... I thought they just grew better in general.
