  1. I tried to read this all in one sitting.. Hahaha - not tonight
  2. Sadly nothing with an official name, I Call her Aurora Kush She has a strong woody structure that holds its fat heavy dense nuggs all the way to the end, beautiful bud development sites and very pest resistant, 95% PM resistant I'd say Dark green leaves that shimmer blue, tends to make rediculously long petiole(iv seen 30cm before ) But what I don't like so much, is the smell of the bud... Very dirty dank smell.. Dirty dirty nothing like the fruity sweet that I'm going for.. So I'm looking to cross it with a male from a strain that is fruity and sweet, preferably sativa dominant strain
  3. I'll tell you what I'm aiming for... Fruity sweet dense buds, with a solid structure to hold its weight. I have the female plant I would like to breed with... But I need a male I am equally happy with, that has fruity lineage.
  4. I'm totally down for assisting breeders, I have zero experience breeding... But would love to learn and possibly enter my own seeds one day
  5. Doesn't have any kind of structure to it... Or sac, or any kind of apparent protection that usually accompanies insect eggs... I would say it is a fungi or mold of sorts.. Tough to say without a sample... Does it smell? Does it grow?
  6. Agree 100%... That is my usual method... Small batch brews as I need it.. The vortex systems iv seen are generally way more than I would typically use at a time, which is why I asked my question Edit - I brew for 48 hours, no more and no less... Depending on what kind of tea you are meking, fungi dominant or bacteria dominant depends on the length of time you brew for, at the right temp(iv found 25° is good for me) Fungi teas don't need a long brew time, but the bacteria need a 48 brew to fully chow the food you gave them, and multiply. Edit 2 - if there is too much food still in the tea when you are finished brewing it, the microbes will be more inclined to eat the easy to eat food you give them, over the problems in your root zone that you are trying to fix... They will eat the problems... But will favour the food you give them until they are forced to eat the problems to survive... So your tea might take a couple of extra days before you see the results you want to see. It has never taken more than 3 days for my teas to work and see healthy new root growth
  7. I had a look online and really like that vortex system... Seems like a medium level DIY project I need to research more, do you just keep the tea brewing indefinitely and just keep adding new microbe stock and food.. Or what?
  8. Here is what I have First Pic is the red worm on the roots, the roots are much whiter.. The HPS gives it that yellow tinge Second Pic is the homes they make with their shit and the crap that is in the water, very good cleaners And the third Pic is the adult midge fly, harmless, they live for 5 days and then die and don't actually eat anything while in adult form... But my spiders like them In all honesty I feel that my water is really plant friendly because of them. And don't see myself taking any steps to get rid of them
  9. I have quite a few pics... I'll show you when I'm home... Mine are also about a cm long. You should be seeing lots of green Looking mozzies flying around
  10. Like... Little house spiders... Hundred times bigger than a mite... They do web, but they web on the walls and not so much on the plants... Not that I mind the web on the plants as I feel it improves the protection... Especially for pesky thrips and white flies
  11. Ah okay... I have a small midge population that I keep in check with a small spider population (not spider mites, just regular bug eating spiders lol) And like I said, my roots are extremely happy with them, no damage on the roots or any bad vibes... They do a pretty good cleanup of debris within the water... And worms poop too... Fresh vermicompast lol... Albeit insignificant amounts... But it's there
  12. Correct me if I am wrong... But blood worms are the larvae of the midge fly? I did alil research and could not find any bad vibes from them... The bloodworms eat green algea. The midge Flys are irritating but not a nuisance... And my roots are very happy, I would say even happier when the blood worms are on them.

The pump for airation would prob be a better option in my opinion... Both if you can lol.

Have you been growing DWC for long?

I want to try some SCROG and the pump would cause leaks and shit. Yes, this is my 4th grow with DWC. Previous 3 were successful. You?

Lost count, have been doing DWC for about 5/6 years now, and have gone through good and bad times...

I use Nutriplex in veg and advanced hydro in bloom.

Ever had any issues with roots? How are your roots looking currently?

  14. What a wicked read!! Almost all of your info I have tried to apply to hydro growing... Especially humic and fulvic acids... I am toying with an idea to have a mixed hydro and soil grow and needed a sweet article to give me that boost in confidence!! Thanks for an awesome read man
  15. I dono hey... Sounds like you're tryna squeeze the highest quality out... I agree, if you have the Tom to get it, go for it... But a couple of airstones and a nice air pump gives me a great tea every time. If your DIY skills are up to scratch, you could make your own one for a few hundred at most... Just don't skimp on the waterproofing lol
  16. As I am a recent member... I was planning on entering POTM religiously.. Sucks that it has come to an end for now... Where do we petition to get it going again
  17. Yo yo man! Did you get your grow off beans yet?

  18. Woah!!!! You've never smoked weed before 😜

Nope I have not used cannabis in any way shape or form....ordered a bong from The High Co to get my seeds for the competition, so I'll be smoking my own weed once I harvest it.

  20. Beautiful! just some clarification about one thing... Totemic mentioned that his neighbor pollinated his ladies? Are these those seeds...or separately cultivated seeds?
  21. If this is what we are growing in the grow offs, our lives will be complete... is this what we are growing?
  22. Im about in the middle here. smoke a pipe or 2 in the morning just to get through the traffic, so just under a G in the morning, same story on the way home. and then maybe another G or 2 at night. My GF smokes about the same, so all in all we smoke about 5 g a day. Thank goodness for a nice outdoor harvest! shouldnt have to fork out any cash for sub grade green anytime soon
  23. At the moment, not much - i have some gummyberry regular seeds and Aurora Kush clones on offer - Hence why i am here haha, looking to adopt a new strain
  24. Who else has other stuff? I'm keen on new strains... Or a seed swap
