1. Thrips attacked me in the first grow off, so I've had good 2 years to learn how to fight and prevent them. Your advice is appreciated however bud. We do disagree on foliar spray intervals and thus I think we should agree to disagree on our IPM methods. I'm in KZN, possibly my environment is different to yours and so we grow different. 2. We are not in the flowering stage yet, when we reach there we can discuss methods.(I don't spray flowering plants at all myself, but you're too far ahead that'll be shown in +-5weeks time.)

Different strokes for different folks

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, the twins, the stunners the growing goddesses themselves! Will be naming them after work when each has their own pot. 25liter Pots from Afribloom, Richards-bay's best Agricultural Shop. Soil: Aqua Terra from GHE mixed with Earth Worm Castings. (yes, I previously said I'm not adding EWC and look at me now)

Thanks you sir @Naughty.Psychonautfor taking the time to type out what I was too lazy to do myself Folks this G is 100% correct, read what he says and read it again, valuable information. *my comment will be, mold should not really be an issue as ventilation should be hundreds, Pyrol is a rather hardcore element to introduce into a microbiological environment - neem is much kinder. My point is, mold can be prevented by having adequate ventilation in and out your grow area - which would prevent the need for something as hectic as Pyrol.

Why? My plants gets a foliar spray every day as soon as I get home

Brand: BioGrow BioNeem. Cost: R250 (Lasts me a good 1-2 years) Size: 500ml Suggested ratio: 0.5ml to 1liter. My tent is White Fly, Thrips, Gnats and WPM free, I contribute this to my 3x a week BioNeem spraying. Don't see the need to upgrade my IPM arsenal if this one product can kill over 200 insects. Many people have suggested the Pyrol and Copper, haven't bought it yet as BioNeem has so far covered all my IPM needs for the past year.

My spray can is 750ml, I add about a pinky nail sized scoop/heap of Epsom. Mix in lukewarm water and allow to cool down first.

Not really comparing them to MH HID bud, I'm running a DIY led light running at 88watt if that's what you're referring to? Since I Sprayed epsom as foliar, I feel compelled to suggest it to others It does wonders.

Now that's a tops top!

Replanted the twins today, dayum now check them roots my braaa, kan jy sien. Documenting it as all changes should be shown. Still need to get one more pot to replant the slow grower. Mixed Earth Worm Casting from a local farm in Richards-bay called Blue Apple Farm, 50kg for R150! *replanting done on my stoep as wiping away dirt is easier afterwards. (wait until Monday to see the Twins)

Iyoo brother you didn't read the rules They should be indoor at all time. @420SA

Ya I just smashed, no time to waste 5 weeks is around the corner.
-
I'm teasing yall on purpose Monday you'll get to see the twins!
-
I'll smash the slow grower with a ton of microbes, then we'll know

Whenever I my plants seem to slow down I whack em with Epsom salt, just a little little bit!

This is exactly what caused me to fail the previous grow off. I'm convinced Thrips never go away once they reach the tent, BUT, I've been spraying Neem 3x a week for a good 1-2years now and the trip population seems dead. We don't want to kill thrips, because that involves chemicals, the goal is to starve them to death. Neem makes the plant taste undesirable to them and causes the thrip colony to slowly die off. *This round I sprayed BioNeem from day 1, just to be sure I'm clean this round.

Would I be able to add a tiny bit if Indigenous Micro Organism (IMO) that I harvested into my seedlings pot?
-
iGrowDagga chopped the head off his plants what? Pinched with my nail, hoping to get atleast 4-8 branches from this FIM, but most likely I'll only get 2. *Please note the color of pots, I ensure it's visible in each picture so that we can see which plant is which. Here I FIM'd the Black pot and Light Green pot.

Spray neem oil 3 times a week and your Mildew and gnats issue will dissappear after a few months of continuous spraying.

Seagrow in extremely small quantities once in a blue moon has helped me indoor, but I prefer not to use it as it's v easy to overuse imho. Try and make a Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ) using cannabis leaves & brown sugar. This is what I feed from day 1 on my seedlings, foilar spray/feed After week 3 I add a bit of Epsom to the foilar spray.

No lies, I was digging around in the cupboards this morning hoping to find a old phone that I can use to record lapses with

I'm referring to stem area, it seems like Dave is focusing on watering the stem whereas it would be a bit more effective if the entire pot got watered. -Donut shape allows the roots to grow outwards. Hope my crude drawing explains a bit better.
-
My avocado tech is to cut a avo in half, take out seed, put avo side down on top of soil. End. *No mushing involved here

Try water a donut shape around rather than the base alone. A donut shape will allow the roots too run outwards and seek water, currently they don't stray far out because they don't need to
