@David666 Welcome to the forum. Some more recent pics will help, but 3 to 4 weeks of growth in the picture you posted seems a bit on the slow side. Growing from seed is slower, but that seems to be a slower than usual. Various things can affect that, from the genetics to the soil, nutes, PH, environment etc. To give you an idea, this pic was taken on 31 October, 2 weeks after the seeds sprouted a tail in paper towel and went into the coco (17th Oct) and I only got cotyledons (the first rounded leaves) around 2 or 3 days later. Both plants are in 20L fabric pots for reference. As you can see, there is also a big difference between the two despite seeds going into water at the same time and sprouting tails around the same time. Different growth rates is normal and acceptable, especially when growing from seed or growing different strains.

Awesome! Excited to give it a grow. So 10 to 11 weeks.

Nice, I can already see the stupid In House stretch on the Jelly Breath has thrown a slight curve ball and you've topped it quite hard. Excited to see how everything turns out. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

@Golden-Goose How long does the Double Krush normally take to flower (from flip to chop) and what about the Pineapple fields? Wondering how long one can expect to wait for the Pineapple Chem to flower and mature. Would 10 weeks be about right?

That Finalsan sounds good to me, I think I will get some and give it a go. This site: https://winproonline.com/products/finalsan® suggest to wait at least 5 days before planting after spraying. That works for me! Not sure I trust round up all that much.

Interesting, mine are still going strong - hopefully it stays that way. The SCE brand from Checkers seems decent too, if mine do pack up I will consider the SCE brand box fans then. They are generally well priced. Considering the Saltons are out of stock, perhaps makes sense for peeps to buy SCE instead then. I have noticed that some of the smaller checkers do not stock them, one may need to goto a Checkers Hyper to get.

Yea, I've seen those foam dispensers. Not quite what I'm after, I may decide to order from Amazon if I can't find one locally. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Sooo! Looking for a bit of advice on herbicides, something I have never really taken much of a look into. Want to get the garden in the new place sorted, done a bit already and cleaned up but with all the rain we have been having there have been a few weeds (not the type we like here ) popping up on the soil - so I want to get of them before I add a layer of landscapers mix and then lay down some grass. Now I am lazy and during the day it gets very hot, so I have removed the larger weeds by hand and am just left with the smaller ground cover type of weeds. So someone suggested I look at spraying them with a herbicide, now I know Roundup lasts long so that is out of the question as I do not want to kill the grass I will be planting. Apparently there is a spray which just burns the plants and does not stay on the soil and this will allow me to spray and kill the weeds and then plant grass on top afterwards. Any idea which herbicide(s) I could use to achieve this?

It is not dust, it is terpenes and trichomes! Imagine chucking terpenes onto your next grow from your last grow? Mmmmm, yum! haha

The quality varies between the different brands, a friend recently purchased a small clip on oscillating fan off Takealot and within a month it burnt and tripped the mains. The design was not ideal with the oscillation leading to wear on the power wires. Generally they do not seem to last long and they also do not move much air, they're not cheap either. You can get fans which are known to last longer and move more air for the same price (or less).

Hey all, So looking into getting the garden at the house going and one of the first things I want to do is lay some lawn and I'm looking for a hose end sprayer, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ortho-Spray-Multi-Use-Hose-End-Sprayer/dp/B0071D0EZK Ideally I'd like to buy locally as its quicker and may be cheaper too? This just helps and makes it easier to sprays fertilisers (or Pesticide / fungicide) all over the garden. Anyone have any idea where I can find something like this locally where one can adjust the flow rate etc. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

These are the fans I am using, I have mounted up at the top of my tent, blowing air downwards. https://www.stax.co.za/product/salton-sbf30wh-30cm-box-fan-white/ Seems that specific fan is out of stock, but you get the idea as to the type of fan to use. Not all box fans move the same amount of air, I looked at some of these fans at Game and they seemed to move a lot less air. I think it was the Logik fans.

Yeah, the oscillating fans aren't great and do not last long. I make use of box fans, they move a lot more air and last a looot longer as well

So this grow is done. I suspect the root aphids played a role in the lower than I'd like yield, the plants which were harvested a little later came out much better in terms of visual appearance and terps despite the root aphids but yield was down for sure. Bud is still good though, nice and terpy, very frosty and packs a punch! The In House Genetics plants are not known for massive yield, but 35g per plant is rather pathetic. Will see how it goes with the next grow without the root aphids but am looking at trying out some new strains which are not IHG... So y'all will have to wait for me to start that grow

100% The quickest growing plants I have found are ready after week 9, most are ready after week 10 and a few strains requires more than 10 weeks. Generally speaking, the heavy sativa strains require longer. Give it another week or two and you should be good I reckon, but best to continue to monitor the trichomes. Always make sure you check the trichomes on the bud and not on the sugar leaves as they trichomes seem to mature quicker on the sugar leaves and may lead to you harvesting a bit early if you are checking the sugar leaves and not the bud.

Welcome to the forum! You certainly need a larger light for that sized area. I would also recommend going with a tried and tested soil to avoid possible issues and frustrations with your first few grows. Once you get the hang of it, then you can start to play around and amend yourself. If you are growing in hydro, perhaps consider coco instead of soil for your grows in pots. Far more similar to a hydro grow.

This Easygro sounds quite similar to Hortimix: https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/hortimix-nutrient-kit/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw5oiMBhDtARIsAJi0qk12BBdwUjUXclxD-_YR2rb0-0gD_P7JuU9pBArA9_Pf3S1SHg9K6ukaAqKsEALw_wcB Although lots of nutes are rather similar I guess. Very common to have a 2 or 3 part nutrient. How quickly does the powder dissolve in the water?

Smoking that much, I feel one needs to grow themselves. Waaay too costly otherwise, especially if its indoor.

Eh, what is a seed or 100 in your bud... right?

Seems its quite widespread, so doubt that's the case. Possibly but unlikely I feel. Seems more likely the pancakes line is a bit of an issue, unfortunately. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
