  1. 100% you can, this is how the system is built / designed. Gives you the flexibility to adjust how damp you want the medium to be kept. When it drops below a certain dampness level then it starts drip feeding until the dampness level is back to where you set it. Blumat tropf carrots are pretty awesome. IMO a far superior automatic watering system compared to one which uses a timer. It ensures each pot / tote only gets water when the medium has dried up enough. @GGG Where did you get the soaker hose from? I want to try some out before placing a large order. @Twix Aphen Your plants are looking great, I have some 3000K LED bulbs with an E27 connector which came with the house, but I prefer a higher Kelvin in my house so they're sitting around gathering dust. Would you have any use for them? Perhaps add them to where the males plants are?
  2. Wait, you lost me. Are you saying no issues with soil, or with the soil-less mediums like hydro and coco and so forth? I want to watch the video, sounds interesting but no time at the moment - will try watch tomorrow. I find more people experience issues with soil, although probably due to everyone trying to launch their own soil lines and not having much of a clue about getting it done properly and consistently. Just trying to ride the gravy train and make some quick $$$
  3. @PippinTook Ahh man, no clue what that Garden Gun is - but the active ingredient is not the same as the Insect Control spray. I wouldn't have sprayed the Garden Gun stuff, one needs to be careful and specific with what is being sprayed. Not everything is safe to spray during flower. A bit late now though, what is done is done. Cannabis is also unique in the sense that we heat it and smoke it, we do not eat it like most other crops. Some sprays are fine for crops which are eaten, but not necessarily safe to smoke. The Garden Gun stuff says not to spray on edible crops...
  4. Sorry guys, I missed a message - the sprays have been taken I think everything is now spoken for - finalizing the last few details.
  5. I say spray with Efecto Insect Control, it is safe to use - you're only a month into flower so that is perfect. A single spray will do and get your through to harvest time. I wouldn't spray Neem. Pyrol might work but more than one application would be required. @The_StonedTrooper Thrips multiply like crazy and will destroy the leaves completely, in turn killing the plant. I had such an issue once when trying to be lazy and not spray - I think I was actually waiting for stuff to spray to arrive and was delayed in ordering some. Didn't turn out well for me, plants leaves were f&*ked and they were in flower, so the plants weren't very happy for the remainder of flower and some died before maturing.
  6. Yeah, thinking the same... Issue with the plants not getting enough darkness for 12 hours. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. Those plants seem confused... They should have stopped forming new leaves, should have stopped growing in height a while ago. I have never had this happen to me, I suspect it might be due to the plants not getting pitch black darkness and they're in a limbo state. When are your lights on for (what time to what time) and then when are they off for?
  8. You have 3 pots, multiple suggestions. Try out suggestions on the different pots and see what works, what doesn't, what gets the plants back on track quickest etc Then you'd have learnt something. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  9. Might teach him what not to do, does not help him grow and get a good harvest though. Need to get this corrected, although there has been a lot of info and it is contradicting. This just goes to show that there are many different ways to grow. Ultimately, try them out yourself and stick to what you find works best for you. Right now, you need to get the plants happy again. I would keep them in veg, get them happy, let them bulk up and then flip. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  10. @DamDave Why are you soo hesitant to try the GHE nutes? The nutes will be available to the plants immediately and speed up recovery, unlike trying molasses to provide food for microbes to help them grow to breakdown organic shit to turn into food - could take another 3 weeks+ if you want to go this route. You are not providing food for the plants directly by giving molasses. I agree with @CreX except for the foliar part, I feel keep it simple and leave the foliar for now. Full veg dose of GHE nutes as per the chart on the bottle, PH the feed to 6.3 and feed to the plants. The plants are going to take a few weeks to bounce back and recover, even with GHE. They are very unhappy unfortunately. I do not think a heater is a bad idea, the one you linked to seems good. The basic fan heaters with an element works well and they have a thermostat on them too, to help dial in the temps. This is the heater I am referring to: https://www.takealot.com/salton-fan-heater/PLID38673156 I saw Builders have them for R199, Checkers might have them as well and at a similar price. Higher temps will help the plants metabolism speed up again and will assist evaporating moisture from the soil. If you were using fabric pots, it would also assist but is not a must have.
  11. The 1KG myco has been taken. Everything else still available.
  12. Awesome and congrats @The_StonedTrooper Great feeling have everything dialed into that point where it just works and requires less effort from your side and reduces the frustration
  13. @Ghotycannabis You are based in the states? Us in South Africa, we do not worry about such packaging as selling of cannabis is illegal. Most of us stick our bud into jars to cure and for storage. Also for us to import packaging would be stupidly expensive and quite a waste. Not sure what you want to attract with a logo / branding on packaging?
  14. Are these the same plants you posted pictures of towards the end of June? Does not look like the bud is forming very quickly, I'd say at least another 6 weeks. Seem like very sativa dominant strains there. You want a spectrum with more red in it, 3000K to 3500K when flowering. Also make sure no light leaks through during the lights off period. Curtains leak lights, you can try get the block out curtains which are a bit better but still not pitch black. EDIT: I see the picture is from 17 June, give us a more recent picture so we can see what it looks like now and advise better.
  15. This would be awesome, but buying something from someone in another province off Gumtree isn't ideal. I will find something in JHB Thought I might as well try on the forum as well incase someone wanted to sell theirs.
  16. Can always ship it to you for R99.
  17. @ORGANinc. @The_StonedTrooper Sounds good, I do not want to spend the money on a new one though
  18. That my friend is a portable Aircon and not a dehumidifier. I have some of those portable aircons which I want to put up for sale actually. Great for cooling, but not very good at removing excess water I find. Same as with a mid-wall split AC unit, great at heating and cooling but sucks at removing excess water and cools the room down. A dedicated dehumidifier warms the air up before expelling it back into the room and does not have a dedicated exhaust hose for hot / cold air, unlike a portable aircon. Also a dehumidifier uses little power, under 500W on all the home units I have seen. If you want to be able to remove excess moisture, get yourself a proper dedicated dehumidifier. @Marzcanna I'd prefer a bigger unit, but a very nice option for someone who can get away with a smaller dehumidifier! Very good price too if it was R1500 landed.
  19. Come on guys, its free! If you want it, take it! Just make use of it or share it with friends etc. I just want to clear it out and make space
  20. Hard to say, although with the IQ and IQ2 they have that "pearl" which help ensure all the bud is heated quite evenly, where most other vapes have some of the herb not as "roasted" as in the middle and the colour varies a little. More consistent with the Davinci due to their pearl. I'd imagine vapes like the Volcano would also do a good job. I find I use less bud when vaping in general, so efficiently isn't much if a concern for me personally when picking a vape. Even with the other vapes I'm really not worried about their efficiency in terms of fully using the herb and temp plays a big role too. Once again the davinci and Pax may be better due to their smartpaths which increase the temp over the duration of the session. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  21. @Prom sounds more as if you are using a portable AC on dry mode? AC will cool the air while trying to remove moisture. Dehumidifier will warm the air while trying to remove moisture. AC dry mode does not work nearly as well as a dedicated dehumidifier and cools ones room which is not always wanted and you cannot set the desired RH with an AC. @Marzcanna How many liters can it remove within 24 hours for interest sake? Looking for something like the GMC 26L dehumidifier which removes 26L in 24 hours at 30C and 80% RH.
  22. Hey all, So doing a bit of a clean up and there are some items which I am unlikely to use so instead of wasting, would rather give it away to someone who will make use of it. I am in JHB, shipping can be arranged but at your expense. Let's start with some seeds, I somehow ended up with 3 Chocolope seeds from last years grow off. This is a cross by @Totemic and these are regulars. These were listed at #3, I wrote down what it was on a piece of paper but have since lost the paper... So now they are mystery seeds which I never got around to growing. The fact they were regulars put me off. I am sure it will be waaay better than bag seed! This is Killing Fields crossed with something which I do not remember, also regulars. Now I have so mycorrhizal fungi, I have moved away from using myco in this form and prefer to use it in a powdered form now and this has been sitting gathering dust... So rather have someone make use of it I feel. 1KG of myco: This was a sample I got from Plant Matters of their myco, which is mixed with vermiculite. Finally, we get to some sprays and such which I am unlikely to make use of. From left to right, we have the following: Xterminator - which is practically the same as Pyrol. LOTS left in the bottle. Florakleen - Meant to help with flushing, I no longer flush. Not a lot left in the bottle. Pyrol - well, I think most will know what this is, spray to kill most pests. LOTS left in the bottle. Neem - Once again I think most will know what it is, spray to kill pests as well. LOTS left in the bottle.
  23. Curious to find out if that is what DaVinci intended it to be used for. Must pay a bit more attention to it, but can be difficult to see while holding the vape to your mouth and taking a pull. As you get higher, at night with lights off it has a bit of an alien feel to it I find as you are pulling and the lights are getting closer and closer to your lips. lol I also find a slower and longer pull on a herb vape works well and have been doing it since I started vaping. Very different experience to a bong or joint, it's a longer process for sure but one which I do not mind.
  24. Interesting, I thought it was a way for the vape to measure the duration of the pull and in turn calculate the dosage when you enter the bud details? I thought it just showed the duration of the pull, are you meant to try and pull until it lights up all the way to the top? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  25. Yes, if you want to try standardize everything to make it easier to compare then this is the way to go. For seeds - once you drop that seed into the medium, water whatever to allow it to start the germination process. For cuttings - the day you take them.
