  1. Where are the pics of the terp sauce? Looks great, would love to have a bit for myself Did you send it in for testing or have you just become familiar with the terps - myrcene, linalol etc.
  2. I've noticed it tells how long the pull is, but haven't seen it tell how hard one is pulling? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  3. Well this is the thing, are clones really quicker than growing from seed if you take into account the germination process and the rooting process? Also the size of your cutting plays a role, a bigger cutting may save time compared to a smaller cutting. If growing from seed, I feel one should start counting from when the plant is in the medium but this will vary depending on germination method. I like to use paper towel and put into medium when I see tails, others pop the seeds straight into the medium and wouldn't be able to see when the tails show. For cuttings, I feel once again one can start counting once there are sufficient roots to be potted into the medium and/or once the cutting is in the medium. Still variances, although most of the time it's minor and in the bigger scheme of things doesn't really matter all that much, unless you are comparing your grow against someone else's.
  4. Yes, the IQ2 is the first herb vape I have used which has adjustable airflow and the airflow can be quite airy in comparison to all the other vapes I have tried which is generally a very restrictive pull. I quite like it half way open (2 clicks open), 3 and 4 clicks open are not bad either and for higher temps might work well. I will try tonight perhaps. For those who are wondering, the IQ2 has 5 airflow settings. Fully closed 1 click open 2 clicks open 3 clicks open 4 clicks open (Fully open) The IQ 2 seems to pool a lot of features together and makes for a very pleasant vape experience. It provides a refined overall vape experience.
  5. @The_StonedTrooper Interesting, my cheapy Black Window vape had a ceramic chamber and I never got any plasticy taste from it. Perhaps I got lucky with the build quality of that vape for a budget vape? The ArGo is a glass stem and chamber, the davinci IQ and IQ2 I think is ceramic and zirconia and/or glass chamber and airway? The IQ2 is very easy to clean and so far mine is staying pretty clean too, quite easily. Always empty and clean the vape right after use before the herb cools down - this goes for any vape I feel. Makes life much easier in terms of cleaning.
  6. Remember clones still take around 1 to 2 weeks to root. Feeding plants with nutes which are readily available speeds up growth for sure. Even in soil. 6 weeks from veg to flowers is typically what most do. @CoolJ Plants are looking great and healthy! Also keen to see how they turn out
  7. Even taste, I expected more of a difference... Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah, difference between a budget vape and more expensive, premium vape is minor things. The guys spending around R1k on a vape are not missing out on much compared to guys spending R4k+ on a vape. The little luxuries can be nice to have, the smaller differences can add up. What might help justify the price of a more premium vape is the longer 10 year warranties we are seeing with some vapes, as well as support and stock of parts. Davinci support is phenomenal! What I am tryin to say is, if you do not have R4k to spend on a vape but only R1k. Do not go out of your way to find the extra R3k. If you have R4k to spend on a vape, then go for it! They typically come with some nice extra features, accessories and support.
  9. R3 per g is really affordable, R300 for 100g of bud to be processed is not bad. The convenience and time it saves, also not having to fork out for the equipment which can add up very quickly and then there is often some learning curve to the equipment too. Have you thought about providing the option to lab test the final product, especially if people want to use it as medicine? Being able to provide THC / CBD percentages and so forth would be awesome! Get your extract back and it's already been to a lab and you know what percentage you are dealing with and can easily self medicate, accurately! I do not know what the demand is like, but at that price I feel it would be worthwhile for growers who want more than just dry herb. Shipping will need to be something to look into, it would need to be safe and secure - if you have a courier company in mind who are happy to transport bud and such without issues that would be a plus for sure! One issue I do foresee, is the return from the extraction process. This largely depends on the quality of the bud, I can imagine someone sending his outdoor to you to be processed and being upset when he only get x amount of extract back when his friend who grew the "same strain" ended up getting x amount back when he did the same extract at home (or even via you).
  10. Very very cool, but there is one issue... I do not see my name on either of those?
  11. I think pricing would play a large role too, especially if it is the end consumer you are targeting. What sort of prices are we talking here?
  12. Let us know how it goes :D Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  14. I reckon 2 of those UFO lights would work in terms of their umol outpuut, but wouldn't be ideal. Not the best quality of lighting. For R1200 though, may be able to find better options though. Yield in that sized grow space would be limited.
  15. @The_StonedTrooper So how do you find the IQ2 now that you have spent a bit more time with it? Also which version is your IQ2 on (firmware)? Have you tried to use any concentrates with it? What is your favorite way of using the IQ2? Precision mode or smart paths? I have been fortunate to have been able to experience a cheap chinese vape & Arizer ArGo (Thanks to @Ill_Evan for lending me his vape) which are both convection (heating by hot air). Then the Davinci IQ (Thanks to @CreX for lending it to me) & Davinci IQ2 which are both conduction (heating by physical touch). I have tried a Pax 3 before but it was a long time ago and only used it once or twice and never really got to play with it and the different modes much. I have also used a Vapor Genie for an extended period of time, still have it but no longer use it as it is not convenient to use unfortunately. It is manual, need to use a lighter to get heat. The chinese vape I used for years as I just wanted an electronic vape at the time and couldn't justify a couple thousand for a more premium vape. It cost me around R700 with shipping I think... Honestly, it works pretty well for what it was and the price. 5 preset temps which you can select, can do herb and concentrates. The biggest downfall is the fact that the battery is not replaceable. I could probably open it and replace it, but may need to solder it and it's not simple to replace like on the above vapes. However for the price, cannot go wrong with it if you are on a budget. It lacks some refinement in the sense that the sessions were only 5 minutes each roughly, I feel this is too short of a session on a vape so I use to run 2x sessions. It use to take a bit of time to heat up, but once its going it is great. 30 to 45 seconds to heat up. It would not notify you when it is at temp, just the LED would change. I often forgot that the vape was heating up and ended up missing a session or starting my session late. Vape quality was good though. The design could have been improved ever so slightly to make using it a bit easier / more comfortable but we're now getting into the smaller things though. For interest sake, this is the chinese vape I am referring to, The Black Widow portable vape: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Widow-Portable-Concentrate-Vaporizer/dp/B06WRVTNY8 After my experiences, I must admit that the difference in vapor quality between all 4 of these vapes was little to none. There is a bigger difference in vapor quality when the device is dirty, than comparing all 4 vapes to each other when they're all clean. If I was blind folded and there was a way for me to take a hit from each vape without being able to tell which vape it was (different mouth pieces), I would struggle to say which vape or which type of vape I am using. Airflow may be the biggest giveaway though. With that being said, I feel these premium improve the overall experience and it's the smaller things which stand out for me. The ease of emptying or refilling the vape, cleaning the vape, the way the vape feels in your hand, changing out the batteries, the functionality the vape offers (how precise can you be with the temp settings, the smart paths which the Davinci IQ and IQ2 offer etc.), the accessories the vapes come with and offer (connecting it to a bong) and something as simple as the vape beeping or vibrating when it has reached temp or when the session has come to an end. Out of these vapes, if one is on a budget and wants an electronic vape which is portable, without a doubt go and try buy a Black Widow. You will not be missing out on much in terms of having an electronic vape. My favorite vapes are the ArGo and the IQ2 though. They both have pros and cons when compared to one another, but once again it is small things and it may not bother everyone. I am being nit picky here. The IQ 1 is a great vape, however it lacks the refinement of the IQ2. Small things though. I do feel the IQ2 comes out tops overall due to the extra features and functionality, while some may be a bit gimmicky or something you do not use often, it has it there for if you want to use it or play around with it. The IQ2 is not without its faults though and I feel there are some improvements which could be made, the "screen" made up of LEDs isn't as nice as the screen on the ArGo as not as much info can be displayed at once and it can be difficult to look at as an example. EDIT: It seems the Black Widow is conduction and not convection.
  16. Opera mini is / was for phone... It's ancient though. IT was also replaced by normal Opera for phones a few years ago. At least for Android. Opera for desktop is now based off Chrome, but I love Opera. Been using it for over 15 years now. @Weskush 2009 is a really old laptop, at work and home I use laptops from around 2014 (Windows) and even those are getting a bit frustrating to work with but at least both have 8GB of RAM and a SSD inside (upgraded myself). Apple do implement more planned obsolescence, with Apple you need to pay to play and their "magic" keyboard for R5800 is perfect proof. Who the f&^K can justify spending R5800 on a keyboard... Not even a fancy high end gaming keyboard with a built in touch screen, special buttons, individual RGB backlit keys and so forth. https://www.istore.co.za/magic-keyboard-for-ipad-pro-11-inch-3rd-generation-and-ipad-air-4th-generation-international-english I think it's ways for companies to try get some tax write offs.
  17. GHE uses Calcium EDTA, so it won't precipitate out of solution like normal calcium and wont bond with other nutes as easily. Hortimix I am sure is normal calcium, so there are some thing which will prevent you from getting it the same but for the price and if someone is on a budget you can get pretty good results from Hortimix - does require a bit of effort and tweaking though. Making the mixes stronger and more concentrated is a must IMO. Cannot use a single bag into 5L of water - waaay too weak.
  18. Don't be silly, of course you can! I know many people who use Chrome on their Mac. I actually see more people using Chrome than Safari - I guess its similar to IE / Edge on Windows. lol
  19. Give it 750ml of nutes if you don't want to water too much. You'll just need to give feed more frequently then. Give nutes with every watering. I'd recommended you pH as well before feeding, aim for a pH of around 6.3 Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  20. Based on my experience, when it is dry like that - waiting longer will just slow growth down further. When the soil dries out, it makes it more difficult for the plant to get access to nutes. I have always found growth spurts after watering when the medium is dry like that. Your soil will stay moist for a longer period of time as the plants are still small, cannot drink as much as larger plants. What size pots are those? If they are 10l then I'd say give 1L per pot, if they are 20L then give 2L per pot. Once the plants get larger then bump up to 1.5 to 2L per 10L pot and 3L per 20L pot. Also start feeding your plants! Use the GHE nutes, it is amazing stuff and your plants will love you for it. Growth will be exceptional and in 2 weeks time you'll look back and wonder why you did not do it sooner. At least follow my advice on your worst plant and see how it compares to the other plants in say 2 weeks time. The best way to learn is to experiment yourself and see the results for yourself
  21. @DamDave That soil looks super dry man. Do not let your medium dry out too much. What nutes are you using again? I think you mentioned tri part, is that GHE? Have you started using them? Follow the soil chart for the growing phase and make sure you PH as well. Growth looks to be on the slower side for sure unfortunately, do you have a heater keeping the temps warm and relatively stable?
  22. @Green Leaf Organics Come now! You cannot post such pictures and not at least share the breeder and strain name with us! They look delicious!
  23. @Wayne502 We're all keen to help you out. What is the decision? Sticking with HID or going to consider LED? Is 1.2 x 1.2 the largest tent you are able to get, or could you get something a bit larger? Even 1.5m x 1.5m will allow you to reach 800g dry and in an easier manner.
