  1. If that is damping off, then you can try using some explogro or trichoderma when soaking the seed as that can help prevent damping off from occurring. I soak my seeds in distilled water with a drop or two of explogro as it contains trichoderma and then I use that same water to wet the carlton towel before putting it into a ziplock bag. How well it works, I can't say but I have never experienced that issue or had seedlings randomly die.
  2. I have never had that happen to me before. I assume you used plain tap water and nothing else? I'd be skeptical, the last thing you want is to end up affecting the rest of your grow - if its just the one seed and one plants. It may be worth a shot and putting it into your medium. Perhaps someone else can give some more feedback on what this might be. I am going to assume some mold / disease of sorts.
  3. @Prom I agree completely. Rather a blurple light than HID for a beginner. However if budget can be stretched, without a doubt go for a decent Quantum Board! You won't regret it. With HID, an AC is preferable or at least a cooltube setup.
  4. @Greg if you decide to go the strips route, I have some aluminium extrusions which are perfect as LED strip heatsinks. I want to get rid of them, so you can have them for free. @silverdelange that light will work, however its based on older LED technology - so price may be good but won't compare to the newer Quantum Boards with Samsung LM301B/H diodes. Also its not 1000W, that is marketing unfortuantely. Its probably between 100w and 240w only.
  5. To me, sounds as if they were trying to steer you towards a sale from their store. I say LED all the way! You can get quality LED lights for under R6k for sure! What exactly did they want to sell you for R6k? 240w QB? I wouldn't purchase a blurple LED light either.
  6. The light you have them under plays a role too I believe, going from decent light to sun isn't a problem. Going for poor lights to sun can be, or so I've heard. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. Very nice, will certainly be keeping an eye on this grow. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. @SkunkPharm I assume you reuse them as well?
  9. So whats happening now? How they looking now that they're in flower? @1000Hills Nursery
  10. Hopefully the soil isn't too hot, with an autoflower you really want everything to be perfect otherwise yield can be heavily affected. Not much room for error with an autoflower. Good luck with the grow and keep us posted on how it goes.
  11. Looks good, nicely done
  12. If you don't mind me asking, what is the relation between Aeradix and Hydroponic / Windell?
  13. @Aeradix Ahh nice! Now how well does it work in terms of containing smell? If you leave a bag with 50g of some strong smelling bud inside your car on a hot day and come back to your car 2 or 3 hours later... Will it really not smell at all like weed? I know if I even take 2 or 3g in a small ziplock and put it in my car, go to the shops before stopping at a friends place ... the car smells pretty dank. Keeping jars with boveda in a cupboard, you open the cupboard and you can smell its a bit funky. Similar case with these bags or does it really not leak smell at all?
  14. I agree, may be keen to give it a try next harvest too and see how it compares to jars with boveda.
  15. @Aeradix so this would be an alternative to jars with boveda packs then? I assume the TerpLoc bags would only lower humidity, not increase it? Is there a limit to how long the TerpLoc bag will last before requiring replacement?
  16. I've used mycorhizal fungi with coco. Hard to say whether it makes a difference, even with soil. I like to think it does though. Haha Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  17. What have you sprinkled in there? Is it mycoroot or some amendment?
  18. Ain't noting wrong with tap water.
  19. GHE Soft Water works well, you will need calmag to buffer the coco. Always useful to keep some on hand for just incase as well.
  20. Not difficult to do. The difficult part seems to be finding someplace which actually has stock of it. Has it been pulled? Has production of it been stopped or WTF. Like every place I have found on a quick google search is out of stock. eBay has for like $78 when the normal price was around $15 - $17 so hiked up really high it seems.
  21. @Prom there seem to be different versions of Serenade - which one do you use and do you have a link to somewhere overseas selling it?
  22. Customs on clothing is very high, not sure of the exact percentage though. Perhaps you got lucky, or maybe not. I sometimes feel the people at customs don't quite know themselves what should be charged and possibly use the incorrect HS codes and then you end up with different amounts for the same items being imported etc.
  23. I see it has been extended to 9 October and I believe it HAS to be sent to cannabisbill@parliament.gov.za only. So anyone who has sent an email to vramaano@parliament.gov.za will need to resend it to cannabisbill@parliament.gov.za No more bounce back from the cannabisbill email address.
