  1. Best not to use that pollen as the offspring have a higher chance of becoming a hermie too.
  2. @Prom how does it work with customs and the value of the items? Do Planet Express require invoices / proof of payment for each item they receive and then they send the total value of the items through to customs or do you simply state what you paid and they take your word for it? Also the Planet Mail Express shipping option is the cheapest, is this courier or via the post offices?
  3. I'd also rather use jiffys or plugs. I personally prefer jiffys. For seeds I prefer to start them in paper towel, then put them into my medium. For cuttings jiffys are cool. I have never removed the outer cloth from the jiffy pellets either, the roots grow through without issues.
  4. In a small tent like that, hanging it from the ceiling or at an angle from the top and let it blow downwards. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  5. Very nice! Coming along nicely, although what is up with the tips of the leaves?
  6. Thanks, have sent an email to that email address as well basically stating the same. Although it bounced back. WTF.
  7. Wonder if it will make any difference, we can hope.
  8. Ahh ok, makes more sense. I have nothing against crypto, infact I own a bit myself of various crypto's. Don't think I hold any BTC at the moment though, lol. I think your situation may be the exception though.
  9. I also have a bright star one, got from Takealot a while back. One died, then takealot swapped it out. The other is quite noisy but still working. I got another one from I cannot remember where and that died within 3 months. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  10. Clip fans can be convenient, although price and lifespan is what has put me off. The clip fans I have had, have not lasted long. How old are your clip fans, I assume they also run 24/7 ? I see Hydroponic have a RAM clip fan, wonder if that may not last longer. Its like R600 though.
  11. But why? What is the appeal to using BTC to buy seeds? If you're buying KG's of some illicit substance or trying to launder money, I could maybe see the appeal to using cryptos for certain things... But Bitcoin... for cannabis seeds. I do not see why. Bitcoin isn't anonymous, it can be traced. Also there are additional fees, not sure what they are now and it takes time and if you are buying it with fiat you automatically lose out a bit and would need the price of BTC to go up to "break even" on your purchase.
  12. Do you have a carbon filter as this does effect the extraction, especially when humidity is involved. If there is limited passive air intake, that too can make a huge difference!
  13. Those smaller clip on type of fans generally do not last all that long. I also prefer the larger box fans or oscillating fans, lots of options available with those - just need to become creative with how to mount them.
  14. With crypto there are loads of wallets out there and many different ways to buy crypto and such. Luno is probably the easiest way if someone really wants to pay with BTC but not sure why you'd want to do that when purchasing seeds...
  15. It's a weed war and the aliens just die. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome and enjoy your stay! The rainbow is very cool, aliens look a bit creepy but remind me of a song. Hopefully those aliens aren't going to try steal our weed! lol
  17. I do not see much bud at all, mostly leaves. I reckon you still have a while to go, you will ultimately need to get a microscope / loupe to check the trichomes and then base your decision as to when to harvest based on that. It will start off clear, then turn milk and then eventually turn an amber / orange colour. If you want to flush, you can start flushing when you see a bit of amber coming through. You will then gain a bit of insight and experience and next time can try a different amber ratio and see what you prefer.
  18. I am not doing any breeding. Currently happy using GHE nutes - simple and effortless. Just works well.
  19. As @SkunkPharm mentioned, we'd need more info. If the RH in the room is high, then you can add as much extraction as you want, the RH will not drop as the air being sucked in still has the same RH. In such a case, you'd need to look at a dehumidifier.
  20. Welcome. Not sure I have a favorite, although what I personally look for in a strain which I want to grow is the following: Frosty AF - the more frost the better, if I could run my finger over it and end up with trichomes all over my finger that would make me happy. I want the frost to be like icing on a cupcake. Yield - needs to be good yield, 80g from a plant but preferably over 100g per plant. Obviously yield is hard to judge, although I base it on the rest of my plants which are grown in the same environment and with the same training and light etc. Potency - needs to hit me like a train. Pointless if it looks nice, but I need to smoke 2 bowls to get me baked. Terps - lemon is boring, something nice and exciting and preferably something which does not taste like cardboard. Flower duration - around 10 week is acceptable. When it starts getting to 12 weeks+ it becomes a bit tedious. Must be stable, no weird mutations which do not work in my favour Phenotypes should be limited preferably, soo much pollen chucking at the moment. Would love to get seeds with limited phenos. I do not care which strains were bred to get the above, if its fire it is fire. Strain names, especially the common shit is overrated as more than half the stuff on the market is not what they claim it to be. It's not bred from the cut which made it popular.
  21. Both coco and soil would work for you then I feel. As long as you continue to water before the medium becomes too dry. If that does happen, coco is easier to rehydrate than soil. With soil, the water sits on top for a lot longer before being drawn into the soil, with the coco it draws the water in more willingly and seems to spread the water around better to. I use to hate having to try water a plant I let dry out a bit too much in soil. Took forever. But shit happens, we get busy and plants get neglected at times a bit. 22. I'd personally want to veg them a bit longer to let them gain some height, it's all very flat at the moment and doesn't appear as if they're much higher than the soil. Then I'd defoliate and then flip. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  23. So my thinking is, if you're paying a set price for the space then you need to maximize on the space to drop your cost per gram. So regardless of the size of the space you'll be paying for, you want to fill it and use as much as possible. This way if you get say 250g dry from an 80 x 80 tent the cost per gram will be higher than if you put a bigger tent in and yield say 1kg dry. So starting with one of the smallest tents available, not the route I'd go for. Due to the costs and hassle, I'd want to try bang out a grow and have that yield sustain me for a while - how much do you smoke a month on average? How long would 1.2kg dry last you? The main expense is always the first grow due to the equipment required, after that the equipment has already been bought so further grows are far cheaper. It's always easier if you can find a friend to go half / half with you so you're not out of pocket as much and you both score in the end. I wouldn't be worried about load shedding, just something you gotta live with. If it starts try adjust your light cycles in such a way that the load shedding has minimal effect on the plants and you're still able to check on them during their light cycle etc. Keep in mind, with equipment you can recoup some costs by selling it later on if you decide to stop or want to upgrade. With growing vs buying bud, the savings come in monthly as you're not forking out for the bud anymore - perhaps it's going towards your grow now but the biggest difference is you'll be smoking quality indoor vs shit outdoor. I'm spoilt. I don't remember what it's like to grind bud with seeds. All the bud I smoke hits hard, I actually got some outdoor from a friend, it was a small skinny bud. Smaller than a pinky. Had seeds and I had to smoke 3 bowls to get the same effect as my indoor. It was shit outdoor, good outdoor would be better obviously. What is the main goal here? Save costs on buying bud? Or end up with a better quality smoke for similar money every month? Edit: how is the person going to accurately charge you for the electricity you use? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  24. Welcome, looking pretty good indeed. Enjoy your stay in the forum
