  1. Imagine if alcohol stayed in ones system for as long as THC does. I wonder how different the laws and rules would be. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. @Zah one thing to keep in mind is the surface area which the amount of diodes is being put onto and the shape. Strips are often longer than QB's although far narrower so depending on the area you plan to have the lights in, you may need to get a lot more strips to get the same penetration and "concentration" (for lack of a better word) as a QB. For example when I ran 200w of led strips and Co pared it to 180w on my QB's, due to the extra length of the strips and how narrow they were, I had quite a few dark patches and I ended up reverting back to QB's as they just worked better in my space. That being said, I have some aluminium which is perfect as a heatsink for LED strips which I've been meaning to put up for sale. If you're in Gauteng and interested in the alu for heatsinks, drop me a PM. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  3. @Mambawana you seem rather eager to chop your plants early, I'd try everything to allow my plants to mature properly before I chop them. I've yet to chop a plant early and would only do so if I absolutely had to. The thought of all the time and effort which has gone into a plant, then having to cut it down early just sounds disappointing and to me a bit of a waste. Obviously if its a choice between early harvest or not harvest, an early harvest sounds better then. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. Interesting how strains can differ soo much. My Charlottes Angel is also around 9 weeks into flower although the bud development is very different. Although looking at your pics, I don't think I'd want to harvest those plants by the end of December. If you're really desperate for bud, consider harvesting a branch or two and let the rest mature properly - you've waited this long, why not let the plant reach its full potential before you harvest. I'm sure you won't regret it. :) Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  5. Never thought about micro dosing cannabis, although I haven't tried to micro dose anything else either - just heard about it and been curious to try it. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. Posting more pics of male plants [emoji14] One may start to wonder if you ever grow any female plants? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. Not yet, this is my 2nd high CBD strain I'm growing. The first was a CBD Critical Mass a D it was a great plant and the bud is really good too. Surprisingly strong despite only being rated at 6 - 8% THC and CBD (1:1 ratio). This Charlottes Angel looks frostier for sure, super low THC and very high CBD... Although there is always the chance it's not actually Charlottes Angel, especially considering they were meant to be autos... I took a look at trichomes tonight and it's a bit of a mix. Can go for a bit longer, I also checked some seeds and I feel a bit longer will be good. Next feed I'll start moving over to ripening nutes. So signs of PM after using the aq-sf and milk, seems to have worked really well indeed. Although having the milk not as diluted certainly makes it stick more to the plant, when the milk was diluted more it didn't seem to stay on the plant as much. I am sure a bud wash will sort it out though :D Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. As long as it stays cool in the cupboard, humidity and temp play a large role when it comes to storing seeds long term. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  9. So this Saturday will be 9 weeks of flowering done on the Charlottes Angel, will then be entering week 10. She takes 9 to 12 weeks, so will start taking a look at the trichomes and start the flush soon. Hoping for a harvest within the next week or 2, will also need to see how mature the seeds are.
  10. Yipp, the cuttings are Chiquita banana and Tropicana Banana. Looking good! :D Is the Euphoria the biggest plant there? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  11. I have a bar fridge I use to store my seeds, AQ sf, STS and a few other things in. I don't open it often. I package my seeds into zip lock bags and put quite a bit of silica into the bags to ensure no moisture is present. .. So far have not had any issues. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  12. How much would one of these set you back? How much pressure does it put out?
  13. I don't feel as if the light cycle is as much of an issue for me as is the lack of extraction - especially with all the rain in Gauteng, humidity in my house has been in the 80's and it increases in the tents when the power goes off. I have a few UPS's which just needed new batteries, so I ordered a few batteries and will be looking at running the fans off the UPS's. @Ill_Evan a UPS to keep your air pump going is easy enough to do, I should end up with a spare - let me know if you're possibly interested. Does not make sense to run lights off a UPS, they draw too much power unfortunately.
  14. Hard to see what is happening with the light, rather take pictures under normal lighting - the blue / purple makes it difficult. You can continue trying to pick the bananas, but its going to be a mission and chances are you will miss at least one and end up pollinating your plant(s). To me it looks as if you still have a bit of time required before you can harvest, looks as if the bud still needs to fatten up. If you harvest now i think you will be disappointed by the bud you have, so either you can scrap it or continue with it and accept the fact that you may end up with some seeded bud - make sure to clean the area properly before starting your next grow as that pollen could hang around and pollinate future grows.
  15. I am very lost and confused and had to google. Sort of like Dakar, but not quite?
  16. When you harvest plays a large role in the effects as well, how mature the trichoms are. Cloudy trichomes vs amber trichomes basically, giving the plant a bit more time to vary the "chemicals" the plant is able to produce as well. If you harvest with less amber, the high can often be more stimulating. With more amber can lead more towards couch lock. Too early can also lead to a possible disruption in your REM cycle, so you may wake up feeling groggy if you smoked before you went to bed and this could be prevented by letting the trichomes mature a bit more before harvesting. Very important to check your trichomes before harvesting IMO.
  17. I agree with @CreX and feel you are most likely going to end up with some issues. Generally there are a few things required for a grow to work well: Good lights Extraction (need to get rid of stale air and ensure there is fresh air, as well as air circulation) Environment control (Temperature & humidity) When growing outdoors, there i no need for the above as nature takes care of everything. You have the sun as your light source, wind as air flow and the weather will do it's things in terms of environment. When growing in a confined space, such as a tent or in your case a custom built area things change a bit. Without extraction it will get extremely stuffy and humid inside and that can lead to multiple issues, if the sun is shining on it, it's going to get stupidly hot. Even without the sun shining on it but having lights inside the confined space the temps are going to sky rocket. You will need to think of these things as well, what are you going to do to ensure you can control the environment to a point? You could look at installing some 120mm PC fans for extraction which will help, although it needs to then suck air in passively through somewhere and this will leave you with possible light leaks when the lights turn off... although with auto's perhaps not as much of an issue.
  18. Hard to see what is happening in the last pic but I suspect those are calyxes and not pollen sacs.
  19. Interesting, I wouldn't have thought the extra capacitance would have caused any issues. Good to know.
  20. I wonder what the issue is with the longer runs of cable? I don't imagine the runs to be particularly long? Probably under 5m?
  21. I found a few places, but not sure it is the exact same material. Damax.co.za have bidim (I believe this is what they use for the bags) Ppplastics.co.za also have I believe. I have not purchased any though.
  22. I think that should be sufficient if you want them to get a few extra hours of light although best to have the LED rather close to the plants. Although I believe currently there should be over 12 hours of light, so don't think plants will start flowering anymore.
  23. 600w isn't all that much, 3A roughly. Standard 1mm wire will be sufficient for that length. Generally 1mm copper cable is rated at 10a or 16a I think - a few things which come into play but 1mm is more than sufficient.
  24. 30cm for the base and 30cm tall gives you around 22L.
  25. So you take the rosin and press it through a syringe with a 22 micron filter on it? Sounds quite hectic, how would you even do that? I assume a lot less plant matter / contaminants?
