Some pics from last night, coming along nicely. Branches are already drooping with the weight of the buds.
-
They're growing nicely, did a heavy defoliation last night and also added Mandarin Cookies #2 to the flower tent.
-
I wouldn't say indica's have less of an effect, for me it makes me pretty sleepy / chilled and lazy AF!
-
Those thin leaves look very sativa like. What is it?
-
Interesting, I must certainly give it a go and grow the same strain again and compare. Probably grow more Bruce Banner or GSC x Bruce Banner as I quite like the bud. I think the Bruce Banner will be a good idea with the high THC ... See if it's anymore potent or perhaps frostier.
-
I feel the trichomes is the best way to tell whether a plant is ready or not. When the bud swells is a good time to start getting the loupe / microscope ready for checking the trichomes.
-
Haha, this is one of the downsides of regular seeds. I had the same issues with my previous grow when I was growing reg seeds. Ended up with more females than I could flower.
-
Welcome back! How was that first smoke and what was your bud of choice?
-
I must be honest, when I made teas and gave them to my indoor plants which were in Organics Matter soil and being fed with BioBizz, I did not really notice any difference... So I kinda stopped with the teas. Although I also use to do regular microbe inoculations soo, I dunno. lol Perhaps if I was growing in an inferior soil and was not doing the microbe inoculations I would have noticed a bigger difference, not sure.
-
Hmm, differ as in better or? I assume you mean same strain, when you have grown it vs others? I did my first grow with BioBizz and now have moved away from it, although not growing the same strains so won't be able to compare unfortunately. I did not really have an issue with BioBizz, worked well I'd say but I want to try other nutes, cheaper nutes... and I am moving to coco with fertigation. At this point, I do not plan on going back to BioBizz but that is just my personal preference - perhaps that will change after I harvest though. Will see.

I wonder what other "ausome" items they had available?

Looks as if there are LED's on the fan, best you kill the LED's otherwise it may disrupt the dark period a bit. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Nice, not a very long brewing time though? Why not leave it for 24 - 36 hours? Just curious :) Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

So the dry weight from the Chocolope is in, 84g. That bring my harvest to a total dry weight of 410g from a 1.2m x 0.6m tent (0.72 square meter). I ran my LEDs at a max of 360W, although turned them down towards the end but lets work on 360w, that gives me a 1.14g per watt - not superb but I do feel 360w was excessive for the space and that I could have achieved a similar yield from less power.

I've tried some of my Chocolope and the GF loves it. It's become one of her favorite strains. Mine feels rather indica like but the effects are... I don't really want to say psychedelic but you're a bit out of it after smoking some. Q Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Now, with this in mind would it cause the branches on the outside which aren't getting as much light to stretch more due to the lack of light or would the ones directly under the light grow better due to the higher PAR? With my LED's, I think it's a case of the outskirts stretch a bit more. Not that I've run a scrog but looking at my current flowering tent and the way the plants are growing, although it could be a coincidence too. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Have you grown any GHSC seeds yet? If so, how was it? How'd the plants turn out. I assume a seed company makes more money, hence the change? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Looking good. From my experience the time lines given by breeders have never been accurate, I've always had to add at least a week or 2 onto their times until my plants were ready for harvest. The only way to accurately tell is to check the trichomes and their colour, for that you need a loupe or microscope. The amount of Amber trichomes you have when harvesting will affect the type of high. Not enough and you can end up with bud which is more likely to give people anxiety and panic attacks and which may disrupt their REM sleep cycle. Too much and it may give you a couch lock high. Best to play around with the percent of Amber and see what you like best. Perhaps somewhere between 10% Amber to 50% Amber. Ripen is meant to be used by itself. Rather use bloom nutes and then ripen by itself for the last 2 weeks before flushing. Flushing will be at the end, generally for a week or 2 depending on your medium. Florakleen can be used as well during flushing. You will also notice the bud swell quite a bit before she is ready for harvest. I'm sure you've noticed this on your outdoor plants. It's my first time growing it, so will have to wait until harvest time. Although@SkunkPharm has grown it a few times. Apparently no high from smoking it. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

@420SA you still prefer vaping over combustion? How has your vaping journey changed over the past 4 or so years? I was first introduced to vaping herb by a friend who owned a Vapor Genie, which basically has become mine... He ended up importing another one. I have never been a smoker, always found joints quite harsh. Prefer bong over a joint due to the smoke being cooler but still very harsh and my lungs always felt as if they wanted to jump out my chest after taking a hit. Vaping has been great! You also use very little bud in a vape, not that it's an issue with me growing now. I tried @Ill_Evan's Da Budda and it's friggen awesome! Seriously powerful and very deceiving compared to the portable vapes I am use to, I think its due to the fact that there is soo much more air flow you do not realize how much vape you're actually inhaling. Although since growing and making some dab from my trim, I am loving the dab! Still vape as my main source of consumption though. To be honest my cheap Chinese herb vape has nothing on Da Buddah or the higher end electronic vapes. Want to get myself a PAX 3.
-
I prefer my sativa dominant strains, don't like feeling sleepy after smoking - unless I want to sleep.
-
As the poll states, which do you smoke / consume more often and why?
-
So same as mine, well let's hope I have better luck hehe Did yours also have some nice dark colour coming through like on mine?
-
Such a long time ago and 28% is still considered super high and not all that common. Although we're seeing more strains at 30% and above at least. Super keen to see those Future #1 once they start stacking on the bud and trichomes!

It will be well worth it, I'd certainly consider growing more Dark Horse Genetics. I was eyeing their Sagerbloom F2 seeds during the special, but figured a larger tent and extraction for that tent is more important. hehe It is Bruce Banner #3 which I grew out, not the original where the #3 and #5 phenos were found.
