  1. @Moosed that bud looks amazing, what is it? Also how does the kief & hash press? What sort of yield do you get on that and which press do you have? 160 micron for fresh, non dried bud?
  2. Nice man! Best you take some of the best bud you got! Perhaps more of the Bruce Banner, it is a seriously potent strain! Also a very high yielder, I love my BB and can believe it is 28% or higher in terms of THC. Beautiful looking bud as well.
  3. I've never had issues with damping off either, although rather use it. It's not a bad thing and can only be beneficial. It's cheap too. Although even with being clean and sterile, it's never really sterile. As soon as it's out in the open, there is a chance for contaminations. The fan would just further increase that risk. I also rub sugar leaves to smell the terpenes. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. I try avoid touching my buds, I know quite a few like to touch them and see how dense they are - I prefer to leave them alone. I've only ever sprayed water and now AQ sf and milk during flower. It's a fungal itself, so I think that is the reason why it doesn't cause any damage to the pistils. I also quite like trichoderma and mycorrhizal fungi in my grows. How much of a difference it actually makes I cannot say, but I use it anyways. Trich always as part of my seed soak, I believe it can help prevent damping off and root rot and a few other issues. Moving over to coco now, I don't feel as if there is much need to use microbe inoculations. Not much organic matter for the microbes to break down etc. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  5. The AQ sf? Not that I noticed, only after pollinating did I notice the pistils change colour and "die". Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. I'd rather use AQ sf and / or milk in flower as opposed to something like copper soap (toxic) or hydrogen peroxide (I fear about damage to the trichomes and terpenes). My Charlottes Angel was in flower with some bud development when I used it. Just made sure the fan was on it to dry it out and did it as the lights came on to ensure it evaporates and such. 7. AQ sf is Ampelomyces quisqualis http://www.agro-organics.co.za/aq-sf/ Those are the guys that make it locally Jamie's garden shop also sells it though. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. So I pollinated the Charlottes Angel on Monday evening, looking at the pistils it seems to have worked. The donor Charlottes Angel was killed. I now wait for the bud and seeds to mature. Extremely eager to make some oil and have some people try it out and see how well it works for them. The picture I took last night, she smells really good! I also had some PM on her but that seems to be sorted now, I used both milk and AQSF to try get rid of the PM.
  9. Firstly this is the Tropf Blumat system, so it works like a dripper - the other blumat systems work on the basis that the carrot is full of water / nutes and then as the medium (soil, coco etc.) dries up, it draws the water through the clay carrot - which is then refilled either via a bottle on top of the carrot or a small tube, depending on which one you have. The Tropf uses the carrot and the medium to draw water out of it, to trigger when it starts to drip the water / nute solution from a res (or tap). As the soil gets wet then the clay carrot draws water / nutes back inside of it and stops dripping water. Well, I am in the process of switching over from soil to Coco & Perlite and have done a bit of a half arsed job, still need to expand the drippers a bit on the larger 20L pots but so far it seems to be working very nice! The fact that you can adjust each carrot individually is awesome and the fact that each plant only gets water when needed is also brilliant. On a traditional drip system, each plant would get water at the same time and the plants not drinking as much are kinda screwed. In soil that can negatively affect your plants. Growth seems to be improved as well, I only set it up on Saturday I think but so far loving it. Still need to set it up in my flowering tent. I feel the coco & perlite combined with the blumat system will be fantastic! I am expecting quicker growth too and the fact that I no longer need to water by hand is very welcome. Such a tedious task! Nah, I also did some schwartzing in my previous grow if you'd like to go and see how that went. Still get a few here and there but this time I am changing things a bit. Main reason I clean the plants so much is to avoid trimming the small shitty nugs, although I have now gone into flower with larger plants and am aiming for 6 to 8 main colas, previously I feel I had too many which negatively affected light penetration in my limited flowering space. I feel having fewer colas will help in this regard. I will also be defoliating a bit more and a bit earlier. I am going to play around a bit with a few other things and see how it turns out and if it will help increase my yield. Back to the thread, I have found the dates I put the plants into flower and have edited the original post as well to refelct these dates for those interested. Mandarin Cookies #1 (I plan to add a 2nd one into flower later, hence the numbering): 8 Nov 2019 Inzane In the Membrane: 15 Nov 2019 Grape Diamond: 19 Nov 2019
  10. Man, such a beautiful canopy! So flat and even! How many plants are in there again and how do you water all of them? How do you get to them to water them?
  11. @Mambawana where do you get your Triacontanol from and have you done tests as to whether it actually makes a noticeable difference? Any idea as to how much of a difference a foliar spray vs adding it with nutes makes to the way it works? Also how do you plan on using the wettable sulfur and only during veg or will you possibly use it during flower too? Whats the actual difference between wetting sulfur and normal sulfur / sulphur?
  12. Waazzzzup! So considering my other grows have come to an end, might as well start a new grow diary! I have the following Ethos strains which I am busy growing out: Inzane in the Membrane, Grape Diamonds, Mandarin Cookies & Early Lemon Berry. I also have Zweet OG, Mystery Cookies and Citradelic Sunset which I shall be growing later on. Most of the ones I am growing have now been put into flower, so the boring veg part has at least been cut out! Some were started from clones, some from seeds. Plan on using some STS as well so every plant is from a different seed in essence. First off, the Early Lemon Berry. This is the clone I got, thinking of actually using it to get pollen from as I dislike the way it has been growing and I have not done any training on it. Excuse the burnt leaves at the bottom, it's from a pyrol & neem spray. The Lemon Berry which has been grown from seed, probably going to put into a 20L pot and use this one to bear the seeds. I started it in soil and have since transplanted to coco & perlite. Have mainlined the plant, will probably start doing some LST as well to ensure a flat canopy. So far I am not very impressed with the Early Lemon Berry, growth seems to be slow but hopefully it shines in flower and the bud is worth it. Next up is the Grape Diamonds, I have literally just put the one into flower tonight (19 November) and boy oh boy I am loving this plant so far! Growth has been amazing and explosive. I know @Master_G pulled an awesome amount of bud from his Grape Diamond. The colour which came through on his was also super sexy and extremely frosty! Cannot wait to harvest! The Grape Diamond plant I will be using to get pollen from: This is one of my Mandarin Cookies which was grown from clone, she will just be giving me bud. No seeds on her, I have another 2 Mandarin Cookies being grown from seeds of which one will bear seeds and the other give pollen. Also very nice growth and an easy plant to work with so far, although from what I have seen from @Master_G's one he had in flower... does not appear to be anything too special - I guess we shall find out come harvest time though. This one shall be referred to as Mandarin Cookies #1 Put her into flower on 8 November. Next up is a strain I have been wanting for a while, Inzane in the Membrane! The growth on this plant is really explosive, more so than the Grape Diamond. Very nice thick stems, easy to train and the rated THC % is spectacular at 30 - 35% on average, obviously depending on how well you grow her and the pheno. Put her into flower 15 November.
  13. I agree completely!! Soil makes a world of a difference, it is well worth spending money on some good soil. Although often soil is not without its faults as well, not all batches of soil will be the exact same. I believe there has been a bad batch of Organics Matter soil going around. Others have previously had issues with Freedom Farms soil burning plants and being full of Fungus Gnats. Bio Leaf (meant to be inert coco) having a stupidly high EC I have personally had a good experience with Organics Matter soil and have not been affected by the bad batch, although some friends of mine have been.
  14. What yield did you get with the DP Blueberry? I believe 20% and above is decent? Which is 0.6g of rosin from 3g of bud.
  15. Only a month on flower for those? Surely it would be a bit more time required? They look a bit sativa like too, which would def make me think they need more than a month to flower and mature still. Just my 2c though, do you check trichomes before harvesting?

I agree with @Aeradix When it comes to lighting, LED lights in particular, there are various aspects which heavily affect how well a light will work. Not all diodes are equal and the diodes make all the difference really. You can add lenses and try different layouts, if the diodes are shit the whole light will suck. Looking at PPFD map helps give you a better idea of the usable spread on the lights and how large of an area a single light will actually cover. You can also use the map to get an idea of the average efficiency for the light which can help you compare it against other LED lights (or lights in general). I feel with the COB it will have a bit of a hot spot and more than likely the spread won't be all that great. I did a quick Google search and could not find any PPFD maps or figures for the Bloombeast A520 unfortunately. Generally when looking at a light and the PPFD map, the more consistent and the higher overall average of the light, generally the better. Lights with hot spots and where they then drop in PAR very quickly outside of the hotspot is not really what you want.
  17. For interest sake, has / done anyone add a bit o Hydrogen Peroxide to their res on occasion? This is probably more for the guys that like to try keep their res sterile and avoid teas and microbes.
  18. So there are a few which have THC of less than 1% and a decent amount of CBD. Dutch Passion has Charlottes Angel which I am busy growing out for reasons very similar to you. I believe @SkunkPharm has grew it out a few times and says no high from it at all. CBD is upto 15 or 16% on the Charlottes Angel apparently.
  19. I agree with Skunk, I'd rather have QB's over those. Although of you're on a budget and the price is exceptional, then why not. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  20. Well, which seeds did you order? From which breeder? I know GSR has had issues with their seeds not popping before. Some of my friends have ordered from BnB and not had issues with seeds but another purchased some auto seeds from expert seeds I think and he had one pop only. He's never bought those seeds again and has had great success with all other seeds. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  21. I love it! I am sure this will help quite a few people out. As I have mentioned before, the diodes play such a huge role when it comes to LED's. Not all diodes are equal.
  22. Welcome and enjoy your stay. You'll get lots of feedback, advice and info. Start a grow diary and take a peek at the others too.
  23. Hmm, so R6 per gram at the "500KG".... Certainly not what they were selling it for.
  24. The cost to make good BHO with all the equipment is really high, I am more inclined to spend the money on a good rosin press. No need to worry about solvents then. Was hoping there may be some cheap solutions available but does not appear to be the case
  25. @Ill_Evan have you given any thought as to how you will change your res and top up and such once the plant is twisted into the scrog net?
