  1. What I would do with your plant is clean up everything below the red line in the picture below, as in remove any branches or leaves and make it so that it is just the main stem of the plant. Your plant will end up something like the other picture, probably like a bigger version of that. Then you can go ahead and flip to 12/12 in a week or so if you like. The current lengths of the branches will roughly double in size and that will be how you will estimate the total size of the plant. I think at its current size you would get a healthy yield. Always as often as the medium requires. Rather than on a timed schedule, gently test the weight of your pot by lifting it slightly. If it is light, water. Another method is to simply test the medium with your finger from the top. If the first 2cm of the top layer feels dry when you poke into the medium, then water.
  2. The little ones should be good, although I see they are in some big pots already. Usually, one would work up the pot size from a small pot then transplant to the final fabric pots they are in now. If they seem like they are growing slow right now, just be patient. The growth that cannot be seen in the roots are most likely happening and once it establishes itself it will pop off nicely. Just keep the watering light and don't drown the little guys by accident. I would say so far so good. Do you have an idea of how you would like the final shape of the plant to be? In general, it seems you've topped quite late and quite high up on the plant, so depending on what you're looking to do there's some things you can still do to manipulate and train the plant further. If you leave it to flower as is, you'll have a really fat, wide bushy bush of a plant with a lot of popcorn nuggets at the bottom and potentially reduced main cola sizes on top. This is because of the many side branches at the bottom that will take energy away from the flowers at the top where all the good synthetic sunshine is. Don't go chopping off those bottom branches yet though, depending on what you want, you could top your plant a bit further down and turn the remaining top branches into the new main stems and train from there.
  3. No holes necessary for seeds/young seedlings.
  4. I might be wrong but is rose mix not on the acidic side, something which cannabis would not actually like to grow in? Rose soil should be between pH 6.0 - 6.5, so it would work but might struggle in the beginning depending on strain as Nitrogen is more easily absorbed at about pH 5.5 - 5.8, but if he is growing outside then rain water will easily lower the pH slightly enough to be perfect for cannabis. Edit: @Furbrain should still pH test his soil though.
  5. Out of 15 auto seeds I popped for summer outdoor season, only 6 were successful and 4 of them growing decently. Bought some feminised seeds, 4 out of 5 were successful. I have a feeling there is a lot of old stock out there and it's just luck of the draw.

    EXTREME SPORTS

Holy moly these last two UFC events were great! Usman and Rose keeping their titles, although going to the decisions was subpar. This last UFC was just a knockout/submission fest, very cool very yes! @The Grass BaasI've changed my mind of Sean O'Malley. I support the man now. Pena beating Nunes with an odds rating of +1000 fok me. Lastly that crazy RNC by Oliviera, wow wow. Dustin isn't bad at jitsu and got taken like that nuts
  7. Might be time to break-in that German passport
  8. Just had an "oh yeah" moment. I was wondering then what happens with autopots because they are both plastic and barely have time that the bottom of the pots aren't soaked in nutrient feed/water and you can't keep them raised... then I remembered the air domes
  9. Damn, didn't know so many people sold clones.
  10. I was always interested in cannabis since me and some mates discovered it in like grade 10 and similar to Crex, we had no idea the weed we were smoking was rubbish, but man those first highs were quite something. Throughout varsity I would occasionally splurge on what I thought at the time was decent stuff. Then one day I decided to treat myself and purchase some "top shelf" for the first time. The experience was so underwhelming that I actually stopped smoking weed for a little bit. Then September 2018 came around and the Constitutional judgement was announced that the right to grow cannabis in your private property was allowed. I researched hard for about 3 months, I think this is also when I discovered the forum. In December 2018 I popped my first seeds so that's about 3 years exactly now.
  11. I think even today in a regulated environment like Canada more than 80% of cannabis sales are still within the black market. I remember reading somewhere that these transitions from black market to legal market can take up to 15 years to happen, if all things go well. Would be dope if they could be more open about it or have a spot without fear of prosecution. That's all we want man
  12. Hmmm... kinda like that cabbage guy Would be a cool little movement to get growers to plant a few clones around their respective towns to try generate a narrative.
  13. I think the court case for The Haze Club will force them to open up the grow club model anyways, so just because they don't have the energy apparently to draft more regulations in that regard, they will be forced to if the matter is decided in favour of The Haze Club. Look, we have plenty of legal farms in the country that are currently growing legal cannabis but they can't sell all of it legally to the international market because we lack international standards of quality control and regulation. So guess where all that legal weed ends up...? We're waiting for government to introduce regulations simply so that raw cannabis may be more readily accepted in the international market and and also cannabis products may be sold legally within South Africa. The problem word here is 'sold'. Government doesn't like not being a part of anything that makes legal revenue. This is why I think they are apprehensive about grow clubs because you don't buy weed per gram in a grow club. You pay a subscription/service for someone to grow weed for you and then you are given your weed. Government doesn't like that and are bringing up the sake of the children at every turn that they cannot reasonably argue a point for themselves. So ja, viva black market for a really long time to come.
  14. I have found that the sweet spot for my best cured weed has been 6 months, this also correlates with the majority of research I have picked up. The weed us fully decarbed, the THC has not started deteriorating yet, and the bud is super smooth. Only problem is harvesting enough weed that I can cure for long enough!
  15. Not so much growing supplies as there are cannabis products like vape juices, dry herb vapes, creams, and plenty people convincing you to buy into their next best cannabis business. Plenty of stalls with a large variety of products, you'll definitely discover something you've never seen before, even just out of curiosity. The best part of previous expos for me was the contact sessions with some notable individuals in the community that give their 2c regarding certain aspects of the cannabis industry. Anyone from Schindlers will be good. They didn't let anyone smoke any actual cannabis within the confines of the expo, not even in the huge smoking area that they had setup. This had upset a lot of rastas and even got themselves kicked out at one point. Last suggestion would be to not go at around lunch time, it was kak busy with people walking shoulder to shoulder. Either go in the morning, chow lunch at 1pm, then go back if you want to see anything more, this tactic proved useful.
  16. I would use a RAM 6' for a 1.2x1.2 and an appropriate 6' filter if required.
  17. You got a point. I think it's difficult with soil because it includes a certain degree of moisture, and the bags are not air tight so moisture is bound to escape. So when the bags leave the factory, they might be 30L then, but after transportation and storage with a little moisture loss, they will naturally be less in terms of total litres. I have noticed on some bags, especially if they are from Europe, that they will have a label notifying what the total litres shall be at a certain moisture level. Maybe this is the standard you seek Also, what @CreX said above
  18. This my biggest expense now between grows is the medium I choose to buy. One thing to note in general though, if a bag says 30L it's probably closer to like 25L. So if you're looking to fill 4 x 15L pots you would realistically need 3 x 30L and not 2 bags. So I voted to get same amount in the bag for cheaper, because I also don't want to lug around anything bigger than the 30L bags anyways!
  19. This is the case. I would open them up and do a clean after every harvest. It's usually the gear that connects to the swing arm that oscillates the fan that gets all fecked, either it loses grip and doesn't oscillate as well anymore, or the motor gets so pup that it can't spin the fan and oscillate at the same time. Okes that don't at least clean the blades of their fans are gross. Imagine chucking dust and kak onto your next grow from your last grow. Nee man.
  20. Every 6' clip on oscillating fan I have owned has conked within a year. This is usually the white and blue no-name style fans. RAM has an oscillating fan for R600 but eish, I don't know if it would be that much better. I have since moved over to the box style fan same as @PsyCLown, got mine at a Hi-Fi Corp on special.
  21. Feel you. It's just a guideline anyways
