  1. Yes that does appear to be a hermaphrodite and yes it can produce pollen.
  2. I weighed and jarred the 4 indoor soil plants; no training, all under a single 240W QB running at 200W at max. 3x Skywalker OG - 88g 1x Aurora Indica - 26g Total: 114g This was my first attempt with soil and I'm pleased with the result. I already knew the soil plants could have gone way longer in veg but I was forced to flip them early as the hydro plants were getting too far ahead. Overall it was a breeze growing in soil. I think coming from hydro allowed me to avoid a lot of rookie errors like overwatering or feeding too soon. I learnt quite a bit and I think I am prepared to give coco a go as a nice in-between of soil and hydro. I am going to let the hydro plants dry a few more days and then weigh and jar.
  3. Yessir, will be using the GHE tripart along with that Gold Label coco/perlite mix. First round with the new coco I won't be adding anything else. Gotta establish some kind of baseline if this medium is good and I want to go for it again
  4. I have a lot of loose seeds from over the few years plus a handful of seeds that I recently purchased off BnB. I am going to germinate all 15 of them and take the 12 best looking ones [or at least the 12 that survive] and pop them into 20L fabric pots with Gold Label 70/30 Coco/Perlite that I just recently discovered. The strains going into the gauntlet are: Zkittlez x Purple Punch - Ripper Seeds x3 Criminal+ - Ripper Seeds x3 Royal Gorilla - Royal Queen Seeds x1 Aurora Indica - Nirvana Seeds x4 Jock Horror - Nirvana Seeds x2 Grand Daddy Purple - Green Smoke Room Seeds x2 Seed drop 2 October 2020 Light cycle flip 17 November 2020 Harvest dates: 1x Criminal +: 14 January 2021 1 x Grand Daddy Purple: 14 January 2021 Everything else: 17-18 January 2021 Flowering times will not be a concern as I have a spare tent that will be used just as a drying tent. I also don't plan on cloning anything yet. When I am done with this bunch I want to decide on a regular seed strain, find a mother and really dedicate to that strain for a while, whatever it may be. So far we got some live ones popping up, the first 12 at least.. I'll update again when I've chosen and potted the Mighty 12.
  5. These laws will be impossible to enforce
  6. Yessir, did the hydro plants same time as the potted plants. Just drying them now and then will weigh and jar probably within the next few days
  7. Aight. Well, if you got R9999 to spend you could save another R800 and get a bigger 1.2x1.2x2 BudBox tent which will give you much more reflectivity from the walls and a 250W QB over the 110W QB. Then find yourself a 5" Prima Klima fan and a 5" filter if you need one. This setup would last you much much longer than the combo offered by Futurama. My opinion is that the Futurama combos are for people who are too lazy to source quality alternatives themselves.
  8. What happened to your 1.8x1.8x700 cupboard build? How did those 400w hps/mh spot lights treat you?
  9. Yes indeed, the pots I use in my recent grow are the 20L Freedom Farms Pots. The alternative budget pots are the DirtPot range from Hydro Garden.
  10. Overall I'm pretty stoked with the soil grow. They definitely could have benefitted from a longer veg period. I got a few very chunky buds from the main colas and barely any popcorn nugs. Most of the buds even on the bottom were pretty much developed, so I'm happy with that. The extra week or so was a good idea. Aromas are pretty strong, felt like chopping onions at some point with the terpenes making my eyes water a bit. I am a believer of soil after this experience... might need to change my answer to the poll of whether or not beginners should start with soil it really felt so much simpler than pure hydro although the past experience and knowing what to look for also really helped. Also, quality soil and quality nutes is a must I feel. Now just to do a coco grow and I've done the Big 3 Mediums. Maybe then I'll try finally focus on maximizing yield there is a lot of space yet to be filled in this tent.
  11. Harvest Day Today was the day, well rather this morning the tent has been in a dark cycle since yesterday, so I've taken all the soil plants out and saving the long dark for the DWC plants. I'll be doing those tomorrow morning.. pray for me. Here are the plants harvested today: Aurora Indica Skywalker OG

How much do you charge to trim? How much per plant?

Neighbor got a Magic Butter machine so I'm just handing them all the trim to play with

  13. Watched it when it was aired in 2014. How times have changed. I'd love to see the same panel again with the recent developments as well as the legalization of cannabis in a few first world countries. Fckin cooonts.
  14. I exclusively use the 58% for this reason. Being a predominantly dry herb vaper, 58% keeps the buds just perfect for grinding up and vaping. 62% was always too moist for me and sometimes made my grinder stick.
  15. Definitely agree. These stones are to keep tobacco moist. As a former rollie tobacco smoker, I surely would have benefitted from one of those stones; although I always managed to smoke my tobacco before it got too dry. I wouldn't ever suggest one of these stones for curing. Rather stick with Boveda packs. Stay away from those jutt Integra kak humidty packs. Those red-dot humidity indicators are poisonous.
  16. I'm doing my first autos outdoor currently. I may not be struggling with wind, but it is a bit chilly in the evenings. I myself am a bit worried they've been stunted a bit. Your plant looks lekker
