  1. Thanks GLO, I was concerned with the low temps during the lights off period. I have made amendments to my winter grow cycle to factor the coldness in. Ill plant them out later to finish off in September where temps are more in the desired range. This was an exceptionally cold winter compared to other years. Great input Thanks
  2. Mine is in my garden shed. It was quite cold in recent times.
  3. Yeah at 1 point. But on ave its about 12 degrees celcius.
  4. Gorgeous, they going strong. Very nice. How's the aromas developing?
  5. Thanks bud, the lowest I see the temp were 4 degrees.
  6. Good day folks, Update: Day 70 of flower. I can feel this grow is coming close to its end. There are about 10 days left. Some of the trichomes started turning amber. With the coldness we have been experiencing its giving the grow a nice colour as its drawing to a close. Gorgeous colours and aromas. The current light cycle is on 6hrs on and 18hrs off. Some pictures below.
  7. They going strong, nice Trailblazer. Whats the flower time on these beauties?
  8. Ill kick start us off with a picture from my winter wonderland.
  9. They looked like they have turned the corner for the better. Nice going man.
  10. Found an interesting article on Marijuana terpenes and their effects. Have a read here

    Hi all

Howzat jakes, welcome to the community. Enjoy your stay. Share your method here please?
  12. Shot gents, but lets wait till the final votes are in. You never know
  13. Mighty impressive there Trailblazer. I like
  14. @Skolley shot bruv. I was looking at between 350-400 grams yes. I am self very interested to know the final weight. Ill post up my final weight once determined. Thanks for the input on soilless growing. I most probably mentioned this before but I don't like having to continuously measure to ensure it's within the correct ph range. However I am definitely keen on trying it out though. Will be a totally different experience compared to organic.
  15. @jacks yeah you are right. I have adopted the lighting schedule based on your post. Shot for that Thanks for the input. I totally agree with listening to the plants, synchronizing and being in harmony with them. The whole growing process becomes more pleasurable rather than a task and becoming frustrated when things go wrong. Efficiency and optimization is my approach, so the 12-1 definitely contributes to that. I like that. "use less, grow more"
  16. I stay fairly close to it, although in flower I tend to use a little less or take a little longer to ramp up to the recommended dosages. In veg, I tend to go slightly over recommended dosages close to the end of veg. Here is an example: Recommended veg dosage = 8ml/10L for all three. Last 10 - 14 days I will usually use 10ml/L for all three. Recommended flower dosage for first 3 weeks = 15ml/10L for micro and gro parts. 20ml/10L for bloom part. As of yesterday, I have just gone to roughly 13ml/10L for micro and gro, and roughly 16.6ml/10L for bloom. It depends on how the plants look though. I will also sometimes bump up bloom portion past recommended dosage in the last 3 - 4 weeks of flower. Thanks Trailblazer. Do you feed with every watering and also do you measure ph, CEC and all that other measuring stuff? - I dont like measuring, lol
  17. Ok cool. Do you use their recommended feeding chart? Sorry for all the questions. I am considering a hydro grow. Just want to get some hands on knowledge.
  18. They are looking great Trailblazer. You feeding with Nutriplex correct?
  19. Yeah I would also recommend butter. I have my own technique, I need to write it up and post it here. Took me a while to get the dosage right. I use coconut oil, its the best IMO for cannabutter. Sometimes if i don't want to bake, I take a teaspoon in my coffee and I'm set for about 6 hours. However If you take too much it will knock you the fuck out. You will be sleeping like there's no tomorrow.
  20. Shot gents. To date this has been my best grow. Biggest lesson I have learnt with this grow. Keep it Simple, Less is More. I used no monitors like temp and humidity indicators as I did not want a factor to let me react over even over react. If the environment felt right for me must be right for the plants. I know its not the right approach but wanted to check the result by doing less things. I would only react if the plant tells me to. But ja thats my As far as the lighting technique is concerned, I would recommend it. Its saves on cost and mimics nature's cycles more naturally than the standard technique.
  21. Congrats on reaping the rewards of your labour bru. Lekkertjies.
  22. I can give some input on scrog. Have a read here for info on net size and number of plants per watt. I use one setting on my digital ballast throughout my grow. On a 400w I leave the setting on 400w.
  23. Howzat y'all, Flower day 60. First time I am looking at my ladies with the lights off as I run my lights on at night and off during the day. The light cycle is currently 9hrs on and 15hrs off. According to my schedule they from 10 days to 21 days till harvest. I stopped feeding and started giving them molasses and some calmag till harvest. The trichomes are moving from clear to cloudy, no ambers as yet. Aiming for a 50/50 amber cloudy ratio. I see some of them started purpling due to winter, always thought it was because of the LED that they looked purple, lol. So far I have been blessed with this grow with no pest and mother buggers chowing on my ladies. I hope its stays like that. Very happy so far. Some pictures at lights off.
  24. Ok now I see it. Very cool. Soldiers patrolling the kingdom.
  25. Looks very interesting. Is that actual bud growing like that or foreign organisms making themselves cosy on the bud? Looks like a succulent of sorts?
