  1. Thanks jacks, I am currently growing using the 12-1 technique. I am sold, this lighting schedule will be my new default. Significant savings on energy, which is easy on the pocket in the long run.
  2. Very nice Trailblazer. They growing nice and bushy. They look very healthy too. What is the unit at the back right? Is it an aircon unit?
  3. Nice going bru, school fees paid. Enjoy
  4. Ok, Ill post a pic of one of my sugar babies.
  5. Shot GLO, super stoked to hear that. Thanks for the input
  6. Yeah, theres about from 2 - 4 weeks to go before the chop. Hopefully they will swell more till then.
  7. Morning guys, Update day 50. End of week 8. Some of my ladies on their final lap before harvest. Light cycle currently 9.5 hours on and 14.5 hours off. Have been pumping the feeding to their limit trying to maximise bud production. I am very happy with the way they have responding. Some picture below.
  8. Nice going cheese420. In the bathtub pic, the white spots on the leaves, is it feeding residue or spider mites chowing on the leaves?
  9. If you in the zone, burp it daily. Take the lids of for 2 minutes or so just to exchange the air. When the RH is constant maybe every 3 days to once weekly. Thats atleast my practice of curing and have had great results. I am also keen to know if there are any other input on this?
  10. Hi ouryperd, welcome to the community. Enjoy your stay. Im sure you will learn alot here.
  11. Thanks for the input. Makes sense. I personally only top max 3 times at alternating nodes as I grow scrog due space limitations. I read somewhere, cant recall the source, that to much topping can in actual fact reduce yield, so I believe there is a sweet spot wrt topping. I am also follow the act of defoliation especially when they start flowering. It does help the with bud development where they were previous covered with leaves. Some may argue you taking a away their solar panels so you wont really see the benefit at the end of the day. Great going Trailblazer, appreciated the ongoing feedback and good luck with your grow.
  12. Excellent going Trailblazer, they are looking great and healthy. Nice and bushy. On ave how many times do you tend to top? Is it strain dependent or a general practice?
  13. Thanks bud. I am happy so far.
  14. Thanks, interesting, its strange that plants will shy away. Maybe they need to be conditioned to the LED and introduce it gradually? Im quite keen to see how it unfolds as my intention is to go full LED eventually.
  15. Good day guys, Update - Flower day 40. My sweet ladies are packing on some weight. The aromas are fantastic. The Thunderbad Haze is very dominant with her aroma, it smells like watermelon candy. I am watering every 3 days now and they drinking alot more. So far so good. Some pictures below.
  16. Thank Trailblazer for the updates. Whats size LED (output) did you add and how high was the light from the plants?
  17. Welcome GThydro, good to have you guys here. Enjoy your stay.
  18. Looking great Trailblazer, are you using perlite as mulch?
  19. Howzat Garmel, welcome to the community and enjoy stay.
  20. I use the 1ltr consol preservative jar and fill it up 75%. If you out in the Stellenbosch area their factory shop is there. It works out R13/jar (with lid) if you buy a box of 12.
  21. Thanks guys. Continuous preventative actions and maintenance and not one big "clean" is the best course of action IMO. Less stress on the plant. Also keeping your environment clean will make it much easier to keep pests at bay.
  22. Thanks bud. I am definitely adopting this schedule as my default moving forward. Besides the cost savings, the plants respond positively as well. - I had to pot up & flip a week earlier as it was ahead of schedule. Just looking at the numbers its a no brainer. Ill try an illustrated using ave values for calculation purposes. 8 week veg period and 8 week flower period. Veg Standard lighting 18 hours Total hours for the period 1008 hours 12-1 lighting 13 hours Total hours for the period 728 hours Saving 280 hours thats almost 12 days of energy saved Flower Standard lighting 12 hours Total hours for the period 672 hours 12-1 lighting 11 - 9.5 hours Total hours for the period 574 hours Saving 98 hours thats 4 days of energy saved Total energy saved almost 16 days running continuously.
  23. Cool bru, thanks. Yeah give it a go, you can only save on electricity and good luck.
