Just to add. You do get led specific for seedling/veg providing the required light spectrum. You also get specific for flowering. Generally most led grow lights will have a multi spectrum for all stages of growth. Like mentioned previously, light cycle determines the life cycle.

Yeah I have prepped my surface by insulating my cab with marine ply. Then Im planning to use adhesive and apply the film like a tint onto the ply. Trying to apply it as smooth as possible. Ill try it on a small piece of ply first.

Cool thanks for the input. I kept it up to the light and its slightly see through. I have used double layer and seems to do the trick. For the price buying double is still worth it IMHO.

Hi all I thought Ill share with the community some Xmas special macyver materials Mylar / Sisalation can be quite expensive when working on a tight budget. Found an awesome alternative. xmas gift wrapping paper, the foil version. Bought 3 rolls for R15 at Checkers. 2.1 square metres. Use the reverse side. I suggest stock up for future grows.

Do you have an intake hole for your hood? Or only exhaust? Im busy building my cab. My hood will be very similar to yours (400w HID). For the heat would you suggest an intake hose from outside the cab? Cool air coming into the hood via a 8cm fan venting hot air out the exhaust.
