Supplemental light outdoors is essential to control when your plants flip as mentioned by @CreX . A small 10W LED Flood light is all you need in your greenhouse. Or you could do it like a boss and control a whole nursery like @420sake without power from the grid. Photos can be flowered outdoors year round. Well atleast here on the East Coast. Best way being Veg them 24hrs indoors. Throw them outside for almost instantaneous flowering regardless of how short the nights are. We use this method for sifting through seeds to see what makes the cut for a space in the flower room.

Could be a hermie. A closer pic would definitely show. The bulge in the bud looks like a pollinated calyx. It's just the calyx that's leaning over at the node is leaning like how a male flower would lean. Post the close-up bro...

Royal Gorilla and Grandaddy Purple Grow
1000Hills Nursery replied to Ill_Evan's topic in Grow Diaries
Grrr... humidity... Atleast you got it back around where you want it. No matter how aggressive you defoliate a week to 2 later it's almost like you can't notice you defoliated. I'm also less aggressive these dayz. I eventually noticed when growing the same strains repeated times that they take longer to finish when I defoliate aggressively . I end up with over vegged plants for the reset. And we all know how fast these plants grow in veg once the get going.- 135 replies

Sup dude. Well done on your first cannabis post online. It's already clear you getting alot of solid advice here and not just the owes burning the midnight oil on Google. A few months ago I was in your shoes and then I met this lot . Growing in secret for a long time, not having people to share your stories with or to get help from or to help. But it's here and it's local. So just to add on Firstly as painful as it is you should wait to see some roots in the cutting you take before flipping plants from seed. Even then upto day 14 you can still take clones without getting too much funkiness when they root. But yeah shit happens. So you would want to take her out of the flower room soonest after realizing shes the one. Transplant her into a slightly bigger pot (even though shes probably already in a big pot this is necessary, just a little more root space). Harvest all the really big buds as you planned . Leave some of the smaller A grade buds with whatever larfies etc you still have left. The more you leave the better the chances. You will still be able to remove buds as bad stuff starts happening to them. The idea is to only focus on keeping her alive. At this point its best she goes under 24hr light, not intense lights. Switch to mild veg nutes. And then it's the wait. It will just suddenly oneday start pushing out new growth out a bud... You gonna see the usual smooth leaves and twisted growth. After some time you will be able to take a healthy cutting of her to clone. Good luck Sorry for repeating some of the things that were already mentioned... Smoking the good shiat this side .............................. The terps you smelling sounds really good. Also nice lines you hunting. Feel free to share some pics and how you grow.

Yellowing of leaves.
1000Hills Nursery replied to Rybud's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
@Rybud Nutrifeed. I used it back in the day in dwc when GH had to be imported. One of the first local nute made for hydroponics for vegetables. Continue using it as directed. Increase the EC a little(a few grams extra per litre). On your next grow do yourself a solid and get cannabis specific nutes. Much easier to provide all cannabis needs. And most importantly you shouldn't be foliar feeding your plants in flower at all. -
Yellowing of leaves.
1000Hills Nursery replied to Rybud's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
@Rybud It's normal for plants to start gradually yellowing older leaves. It's good when it's controlled because it means you slowly depriving the plant of N. In your case the yellowing seems excessive. The plant looks hungry. -
@Jono101 Check the supply cable(the cable you plug into the plug socket) has an earth wire(generally green with yellow stripe) connected to the heat sink and the plug top. It could have come loose etc. It's an easy addition should it not have an earth. This will ground any current leakage and stop using you as a conductor...

Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
@Naughty.Psychonaut Strange ph result seeing as you been feeding between 5,6 - 6 and now you put in 7. The runoff should be lower then 7. Not sure why the ec pen had an error. I use my pen set to the 500ppm scale and I put it in really dirty runoff all the time. Next watering try the 500 scale on ec pen (the values will be ppm) and ph to the optimum soil ph which I'm sure is somewhat debatable but definitely not low as 5,6 - 6. That's the ph for hydroponics. I'm in coco and I fluctuate between 5.8 - 6. You should be staying in the 6.3 - 6.8 zone. So unfortunately nothing has come from that test. Now you just got to let her dry out before the next move. I would monitor the plants till then. Check that the new growth is normal. Pay attention to all the oldest leaves to see if more leaves are been affected. Check soil ph chart and see what nutes are not available at a high ph(as per test). Match those deficiencies (caused by lockout) with what your leaves are doing. -
Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
@Naughty.Psychonaut Nice you got both pens. Carryout calibration of ph meter. Bluelabs go out of calibration very easily. I use drops for setting ph of my reservoir for feeding and my bluelab pen to check runoff when need be. Record your input ec and ph... And then your runoff ec and ph.. Let's see what those values tell us. -
Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
@Naughty.Psychonaut Don't flush. You doing fault finding. Just enough water to check ph of the very 1st runoff. It would be equally important to also check the ec of the runoff. These values compared to what you inputting tells you the issue. Ph of soil to acidic or your plant is hungry. Knowing that you were feeding below a Ph of 6, I would actually do the test using water at a Ph of 7. That would aid with trying to raise the soil ph. @Bospatrollie2 I'm a soiless man and you are soil man. Please clarify soil ph ranges etc and maybe have a look at this fellow growers issue and give us your opinion. -
Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
Alternating between 5,6 - 6 is the incorrect ph for soil. You have nutrient lockout. Run some water set at 6.5 thru the plant. Collect 1st runoff. Let any sediment settle. Pop your bluelab in and check ph.. The whole preflowers thing is not for you and unrelated to your issue so I would retract that from this conversation. On a broader note. When you ask for advice, you need to filter all that's given to you. No one here knows everything. Every grow brings new knowledge. Happy growing -
Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
@Naughty.Psychonaut Preflowers? You never heard or seen them? It's how we sex plants without throwing them into flower room. Males sometimes spit preflowers after 3 weeks. This has zero to do with autos. Back to your plants. 1stly they really dark green. They been fed more nutes then they need. They way smaller than what they should be. If that freedom medium you using is soil and you feeding between 5,6 - 6 then my friend you not using Google properly. If its coco then you okay. Bluelabs is perfect for checking the ph of runoff but you should know this. My advice is based on experience and not research. Use it or don't use it, doesn't really matter. You seem to have things covered . -
Deficiency or lock out??
1000Hills Nursery replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in General Discussion
@Naughty.Psychonaut 6weeks from seed are almost considered mature plants. Most plants would have shot some preflowers by now. Don't stress too hard it's nothing serious. Hortimix has enough of all the essentials in it so it's not a deficiency if used correctly. It looks like a PH issue. Probably too acidic or something in root zone. Flush it with plain water at the correct ph for soil. Let it dry out and monitor overall health. -
Where to get MKP now. That's a difficult one. I've heard one of the hydro shops are open. Maybe some of the soil guys can assist with other things they use in flower. Maybe you could treat her to a lockdown tea. @CreX

Looking good Ruderalis are the autoflowering gene in autos. Variety could be any mixture of Indica and Sativa. Little traits on your plant shows it's a hybrid. Leaves, bud structure, plant structure. Your plant looks like it's got another 5-6 weeks maybe longer... that's just a guess based on it looks like it's been flowering around 4 weeks. Feed the plant some MKP or anything with high phosphorus and potassium to bulk up those flowers

Into the veg room they go. Sharing a light with some Dark Horse Genetics for now.

Threw 12 of each strain into some coco in solo cups. For simplicity purposes they will be called ASM and WCSM respectively. Early seed inoculation time. Trying out some trichoderma at this early stage for the 1st time.

24 hours in water and then into some roller towel they go and back in the plastic bags. Roughly 36hrs later

We ran 2 crosses this season. They were chopped down a couple of weeks ago and dried. We have a few of each cross a couple weeks into veg. Thought we would share this little test with 420sa. Busting open these buds and I'm reminded of why we chose these gals for the breeding run... Let the hunt begin...
