Probably safer and cheaper driving it here. I am in Ec, been driving legally on the roads since the 3rd of January and not one roadblock, plus its your right, you can even legally drive a plant here( only for the brave with balls though ) . Awesome honour to be asked to judge the Canna Cup later this year. Simon Strainhunters is the first judge, Chris the #cannabispromoter is the 2nd judge, and Jeremy Acton is the 3rd judge. You heard it here first! 420sa.

Definatly. We just need to support the hemp industry as cannabis community.

Just published this article about The Hempress, an interview i did a couple weeks ago. Lady run businesses powered by hemp. The Hempress was founded during March 2020, the first lockdown and worldwide pandemic in about 100 years. Jamey ‘jameson’ Ries started sewing much needed masks out of 100% pure hemp after her fulltime managerial job at a local restaurant had become redundant during the several months of lockdown. A friend of hers offered her a bundle of hemp fabric, and the rest is history. Proudly South African, lady owned and powered by hemp. The Hempress is celebrating one year of business in the next couple of weeks. I was lucky enough to get an interview with Jamey at a pub/restaurant in Bathurst two weeks ago. She lives and runs her business from Port Alfred, the Eastern Cape and has servicing clients with custom hemp products, supplied through her online shop. Read more

IMG_20210220_1202483120×4160 1.54 MB Stayed overnight at a very old friends house, had drinks and joints catching up during the evening with our family. Went for an early morning wake and bake walk through forests outside the town of Plett. Walked by Wiskey Creek Gorge and smoked it up. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLiwx9ysPSQ/ In the morning my friend wanted to take me to the local canna social club just down the road from him. Damn we drive through the gates of DankiPa farm, smell and see a beautiful garden on a hillside with a coffee shop overlooking a river and the sea. A simple signup form to become a member and as a member you reimburse to the Club the plant management fees in exchange for the produce. As per the constitution of South Africa.. Their cannabis garden is unreal. Organically grown outdoor variety of strains from original exodus cheese through to strawberry sherbert and a variety of pure sativa’s. Many of the plants are grown from clone by a seasoned master grower and his team. They manage a large space with many upliftment projects on the go. They have a local community of ladies rolling joints, providing them a sustainable salary, delivering perfectly rolled pre-rolled joints for club members to enjoy with a view. A couple joints later, we were late for lunch. Back through Port Elizabeth on the way back home and went to the Pottery coffee shop, nursery and social club. Their membership processing is a bit longer, but you can buy a day pass. I walked around their fully stocked shop of a headshop, custom glass rigs, bongs, grinders etc, also have a inhouse produced nutrient solutions and small growshop supplies store. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while speaking with the very talented owner of the social club, who was definatley in high spirits about the success within the community about this slick venue. Two cups of coffee and off to the latest growshop to open in Port Elizabeth with a dude from Sunshine coast Genetics. The Gro Bro The Gro Bro is a friendly, welcoming smile, clean shop, packed with indoor and outdoor products. The owner Hugo is a gem, keen to answer questions, show you around, talk about the best products for your growing needs. I was introduced to him via Sunshine Coast Genetics, another gem and had a lekker long conversation about growing cannabis, preventative maintenance, nutes etc. Loved the fact that he specializes in organics, his preferred method, however he does stock synthetics too for the commercial dudes. Saw many top brands in the shop, GH, Biobizz, Dirty Hands, Organic Matters, Umya Nutrients, the trim bin bag, some futuristic life time warranty grinders made from medical grade plastic endorsed by Snoop!!! And then my favorite, a top shelf of Fullmelt Filtration Bubble bags. I was sold, I knew this is my new favorite local grow shop. If you in the area, looking for knowledgeable service with a smile, Hugo at the Gro Bro is your man. 10 Frank Street, Newton Park. I will be back for sure. A couple more pictures of views over Buffalo Bay and some clones I collected along the way. *: By The Way Port Elizabeth has just changed its name to Gqeberha a couple days ago. So any mentions in future I mean Gqeberha. The Map route I travelled, from the sunshine coast through the garden route of South Africa.

Next was a quick but way overdue stop in Knysna to meet a cannabis artist and activist from Cannabiz Art, Marylou Botha, a cannabis warrior. It was an awesome experience to finally meet her and her family in wonderful surroundings. Drank coffee in crooked handmade cups, smoked delicious weed and caught up on cannabis culture over a couple joints. She also kindly gifted me some of her handmade cannabis soap. I also got to meet a breeder known as Garden Route Genetics. Josh has been breeding for 15 years and kindly gave me some top strains, Black Kronic and Lilac Kronic. Next stop was in a town known as Plettenberg Bay. Its a buzzing town with so much on offer including great beaches, outdoor trails, shops, sun, sea, restaurants and cannabis activities. First stopped off at a very cool Hemp shop, Simple Seed, in the high street. Really nice selection of CBD and hemp items, from textiles to through to soaps, balms, scrubs, CBD oil, hemp hats. The owner was informed about all his products and knew lots about the benefits of hemp.

Last week I headed down the garden route to meet up with some like minded cannabis growers/breeders and it was a treat. My first stop in PE was the low light of the trip, disgruntled customer outside, damn expensive shop, very charming and knowledgeable shop assistant, but a damn weird owner. Rather leave the name out of this post and move onto the good stuff. Next stop was Turtle House, awesome setting and shop, lots to see, do and buy. It is primarily a legal shop selling a bunch of traditional medicines, teas, bongs, coffeeshop and growshop with a little library. Amazingly found a book I was published in, Cannabis Indica by Mel Thomas. Really did give me a hop in my step and quickly bought it. Next stop was to an activist and organic grower, medical user, OomBoom. What a wonderful experience, beautiful garden using permaculture principles and very knowledgeable too. Had a cup of green tea, some tasty joints and bought a couple of his very well branded tshirts. Next stop was St Francis Bay. There are two cannabis shops, one for CBD/THC medicine and the other other a CBD Vape Club called PineApple Express. It was a good time to stop and buy some craft beer from The Brewing Company, delicious pale ale.

If you watched tonights hotbox show, and heard what Marc Emery was quoted on saying about the quality and variety available in South Africa, we almost there. Just got back from a roadtrip a couple days ago, and totally amazed at the variety of cannabiz happening, from cannabis soap bars, to books, cannabis clubs ( every town on the garden route ) , heard sanlam is insuring cannabis for a quater million at one club. Its an amazing time to be alive, but unfortunately Marc Emery also said something else to remember, hopefully the laws stay in limbo, cause like a trawling net, they going to slowly reel it in with regulations.

Went to a top growshop in Newton Park, Port Elizabeth today, The Gro Bro. Friendly, welcoming smile, clean shop, packed with indoor and outdoor products. Rehab is for quitters. I have given myself a gold medal for my detox, or lack there of. In reviewing the past week it was well worth it. I went down the coast to celebrate the passing of a good old man, I took him to AA a couple times during the 90's, he sadly passed sober as a judge last week at the solid age of 85. Had a solid party with old family friends, loads of homebrew, beer, whiskey and weed. But funny enough I was wondering/pondering if Marijuana Anonymous ( MA ) is still existent. It was right next door to the church where AA meetings were held on weekly nights. Down the road from Rosebank towards Parktown North. My ex business partner founded it, I wonder if its still happening. I went baked once or twice for experience, and the tea and cake. Well back to my own rehabilitation centre tomorrow. Round two of the detox.

They are a social club just outside Plett and happy to share details. I will be doing a blog post about them soon.

Just had a huge honour thrown at me. I will be judging you growers in July/August when this event place takes place. Just met the brothers and had a lovely time with them at their awesome venue. They have one of the most organised gardens I have ever seen, welcoming, knowledgeable with some top strains.

Chris Jay replied to PsyCLown's topic in General Discussion

Sharing some damn amazing news in my life and looking forward to this opportunity. I am the official writer/blogger for LA King Pins as of a few minutes ago. Damn detox, going for a beer, it took alot of work to get this deal. Watch this space. #cannabispromoter "You will go through some hardships in your life, getting up after getting beaten down is much more important than succeeding. There is much more to be learned in failure." -
My detox is going well. no problems, easy sailing. So take my partner into town to go on our weekly supply run this morning, do some posting, run some errands. Get home, unpack, have lunch, get to work and now realise all our animals are pissed. While we were out, they broke into the stoep, main pig pushed the gate open for the swarm and started a feeding frenzy on the left overs of moonshine wash. Pointed at my partner and said, her children. Its not the end of the world, its a fairly light volume of alcohol, but still reminds me of how careful we have to be.

Well stuff me sideways, February is almost come and gone, just like that. @PsyCLown, half a year already!!! Damnit. Its the 11th of Feb, booze was only legalized again in Feb, had a couple cool evenings with some stoners and bar flies, have 100 litres of brew on the pot. I know and respect a very top local breeder who makes seriously good moonshine and does not touch it himself. So been debating the entire day about booze. Anyway been clean of the most dangerous drug in the world for about 4 days, and decided to go sober for a couple bumpy weeks ahead ( 30 days to break a habit ). Might do weed soon, but someone will die, so small steps. Thanks for the inspiration with your post @PapaSpliff, I am chucking a training schedule in too.

I have always been for legalisation of cannabis, but also after reading the book , The Devils Picnic ( a must read ) many years ago I realised it was not just about cannabis but "drugs" in general. I was recently called a drug addict from an activist I do not know personally, basically some trolling online via my IG account, out the blue. I believe the guy has some issues and reviewing his youtube videos I cant disagree. We recently had a discussion on here about drugs here and some guys were for it, and some against. I think we can all agree the "War on Drugs" has been a massive failure. Vice published this video a yesterday and love to see this making big media. It gives the nitty gritty on why we need to change our views. Time to open your mind cannabis warriors, dont insult people making a difference, on a their own journey without the sheep pack. "legalise all drugs." Source

Thank you @Gloriosa superba, your purchase is being packed and will update you the tracking number. As per original the full amount was paid to Fields of Green for All. You getting an unreal package, that even the most seasoned breeders would be sweating for. Cannabis, tobacco and chillies on their way.
-
That looks delicious, I just remembered I have a half eaten homegrown cucumber in my passenger seat from last nights barter!!!!
-
Due to the lack of interest in this, going to make a top package for @Gloriosa superba. Sent you a DM. Cheers.
-
With pleasure. Can send off next week. I will send you a dm.

Not to sure, but about 10 or so years ago I got a box of these nutrients from GHS as test samples. They were in clear vaccum sealed bags and the compound was a green/yellowish colour. I think I might have done a test grow on the GHS forums, not to sure though. They worked well for me, I used them separately in a basic soil mix and harvested some big buds.
