  1. Great to know the author of a newly published book has finally completed her works. Sista Vee Nohombile as a herbalist has worked with the medical aspects of cannabis sativa for several decades. The book is for sale in good stores or can be directly ordered from her FB page, THC Plant. "Cannabis is the Human Companion Plant was born out of the urgent need to publish an introductory guide-line as to how the recently discovered human Endocannabinoid System (EC system, ECS) works, and the truth about the importance of the Cannabis plant to our health. As the writer it is important for me to present this vital information in such a way that even ordinary, non-medical people will be able to read with relative ease, even if they have never heard about Cannabis before. There is no doubt that people need scientific proof, and everyone should absolutely always insist on scientific evidence. The challenge has always been to search for literature and scientific proof about the healing properties of the Cannabis plant, and then to correlate authentic scientific evidence with ancient knowledge carried down by generations of herbalists and traditional healers."
  2. Not as high as our salami and pork chops. We sell salami. R120 p/k, available right now. Tell me about it. During our first loadshedding this afternoon, took a gap and went fishing with the doos dogs. So the bully has not been on a trip for awhile and was lank keen. 10km down a dirt road, no one around, tranquil, peaceful. Straight away dumb and dumber are in the water doing laps while I am sorting my rod. Throw my first cast away from the egg heads, bully reckons its a game of fetch . He got caught in my line twice, scared the millions of fish away, wet my lighter, and eventually gave him the rest of the bait. Had a fun day in the sun, basically sun tanning and then the one boy fell out the bakkie on the way. Legend afternoon!!!
  3. First time you purchased from Cannabist @Ill_Evan
  4. Well done @Cannabist . Welcome back and wishing you the best for 2021. I will get in contact with you in the morning.
  5. Looks like this is happening in March? Have not had a reply yet, would like to enter and attend if possible.
  6. Looking delicious. You get any gooseberries? I have had hundreds, but all the animals get to them first. I have not eaten one this season.
  7. Washed my buds last season due to being close to sandy piggery and you could see the dirt. It was a serious mission but you would be surprised at all the stuff that comes off the bud. The difference in before and after was huge. I cant for certain say the smoke was better, but I did know I smoked alot less junk. As per above, try and do it when its hot and sunny rather than cold and wet. Mold is horrible.
  8. And bang, the final product, was hoping for better pictures and colors, but this was the result. Delicious. Also made a logo today for my bottles of liquor.
  9. Hi @Feedaseed Congrats on your new journey and stepping out your comfort zone, site is looking great. If you looking for a leg up in the US market I can possibly assist as that is what I do for clients in SA, USA and Canada. Happy to chat, send a DM.
  10. I lived there for several months to, loved it, the people, country, the food, the freedom. In 1996 I could walk into certain shops and buy weed, bongs, pipes, papers. We were also able to grow weed where I was based ( Ticino ) working as a gardener. The time of my life.
  11. I am going to start growing tonnes of chillies in the new year. Pretty, tasty, grow easy and can be used for many things. Actually cant wait to grow chillies, lots of chillies, potent, colourful and delicious. Also look at the weeds in your garden, kakibos is a good plant to keep aphids/fleas away.
  12. Sorry about your loss of many things, most importantly your privacy. Crime and corruption will be the death of South Africa. I dont think the ANC should be given the power of the death penalty. Safest street in my area is the the local drug dealers den, he rents from a local cop. We dont call cops anymore. I have had to use some brain power to work out our security issues, and touch wood we are safe for now. The most important thing I have done is to be more vigilant. We have kilometres of fencing to monitor and I have got so intune with it, I can tell the different styles of fence cuts. We have two problems, poachers and house breakers. My first line of defense is the fences, as soon as they are tampered with I know to pick up patrols, especially over school holidays, month end, full moon and windy/rainy days. These are most of the times they tend to raid. I have confronted them a number of times, caught them twice, been to their houses, spoken with thier bosses. . The last time I called the police they charged me with assault and kidnapping of a thief !!!!! Point of my waffle above is you have to be responsible for your own security, you cant rely on alarm systems or even security companies. We have setup many processes to initially protect ourselves now, early warning systems and not to proud, but we barely lock our doors at night. As a foreigner, you should still be able to get a license. There is a good gunshop just off Louis Botha that does it all for you. I do believe they are taking much longer to process applications, was quoted 6k for a handgun with certificate and have to wait about 6 months for a license. Gun owners are also complaining that they have to send their guns in for balistics for renewals now. Ironic that Switzerland is the most armed nation in the world with the least amount of crime.
  13. The final part of my craft weekend was to make some temple balls made yesterday after drying the grated frozen bubble hash. Got far less than I was hoping for, but happy with the outcome, RESIN. A quick roadtrip up to Natal next week and then back to bottle some black ale. Happy smoking folks.
  14. Ah sorry, I do need to go slower in life and read the fine print. Nice post and info @Prom
  15. Had a wild weekend that started on Friday. Absolute havoc, chaos and mayhem with good people/animals. Ended up losing R100 bet on the sharks and lions match, bought a 3Kva lister engine and generator, and the bad news found out on saturday morning my foot is broken in two places and ankle is sprained. It started with a silly bike accident about 4 years ago. Anyway the good news is had a seriously crafty weekend, made just under 100 grams bubble hash on saturday, and just under two litres of 60% lekka liqqa on sunday. My fullmelt from 35 and 70 micron bags. Seriously impressed with the beetroot and cinnamon mash that I used. It tastes earthy ( beetroot) and sweet ( cinnamon ), came out clear, instead of a pinkish tinge I was hoping for . Below is our setup from yesterday at the local watering hole. My competitors ( copper pot to the right ) did not hold back on any of the bells and whistles. They were hitting about 75% proof, puts hairs on your chest.
  16. This is gold @Batista , really keen to try this method you have shared. Looks fairly straightforward once you have the tools. Never realised CO2 was so easy to get, been trying to source it locally for 6 months. Anyway a little over my budget to buy ice so going to stick with the rain water bubble hash for now.
  17. Not worth it. I have tried but gave up after making a couple grams. My fake charas is now usually collected from the trimming scissors and hands after season.
  18. I have bought from https://marijuanasa.co.za Good service, quality beans received. But not bought from Marijuana Seeds SA.
  19. Likewise, when farmers used to sometimes see me run they would say I am obviously not working hard enough. Manual labour on a farm is hard work, I call it FarmFitx. Racking is stretching, carrying water buckets is shoulders, turning compost is waist, upper arms etc.....
  20. "LOL! i don't want to jack this welcome thread. " You not being serious, a little bit of light humour, new topic? Yes,agreed. Had some absolute polar results with edibles. My most unique experience was losing co-ordination of my legs only during the day. No high,no buzz. Face planting a keyboard for 10 hours and waking up on the floor after some malawi cookies. What gives!!! Waste of time fullstop, high or not. Great day when I walked in as a teen to cancel my contract at the gym.
  21. Larger than life man of the green of herb. What a terrible year 2020 has been. Miss chatting with Jules, giving me straight down the line advice, or a laugh, a story. Happy belated birthday Jules.
  22. Saw your attempted hijacking @Heteropyxis and thought of creating a thread about running while high. Its something I have loved doing for zonks. 21km on 400mg in your time is unreal. I am a bush runner and dont do edibles before a run anymore, however my experience many years ago ( 1997 ) was cool and fairly fun. Was asked to take mate to the airport, on the way, hey here some banana bread, munched two pieces myself. Dropped him off, said bon boyage, got home and decided to go for a run as nothing was kicking in. I ran through rush hour traffic almost in the CBD of JHB, was not very used to space cakes, it felt like I was running on air, my sweat was not touching my skin, but a few millimetres off it. It was a mind f#Ik of note. Loved and hated it. Usually I just go for a bush run ,5 -10km max now after a joint. Nice and sensible. Just some interesting information about athletes and cannabis. One of my clients and friends from the states was the 2nd biggest donor to the daggaparty.org.za for voting registrations a couple years ago. Heard about the cause and said where do I pay. Top guy, gun and athlete.
  23. I definetly live on a different planet. I am a couple years too early. I will be here till the end of my days when we can grow/smoke in absolute freedom. I dont really give a shit about the industry, of course its going follow every industry and become an establishment. The activists crying about Dischem selling legal pot now is another ridiculous "cause". Its fnnn wonderful, just like Cannapax was, just like Green Dragon is. These are the risk takers, the guys with balls, that all need support for the development of an industry. Its going to happen with or without stoners/homegrowers/activists. A guy acted suspiciously just yesterday after trying to find me to buy a pool table. He did not realise someone was watching them from the bushes while collecting. He asked about my san pedros while loading, I did give him a cactus as a kind of conscious peace offering and silently wished him well. Strange days, people do weird shit, so my back is up. That is how much I trust. The argument on Sunday night on our local whatsapp forum helped me put things into perspective again. There are many hypocrits out there, and they can be dangerous, cause a lot of grief out there for hippy home growers who just want a chilled life. I mean i was laughing at all the banter, mis information, it was coming from a current pusher in town selling his pure CBD isolate, "according to him is the best medicine out there, and real medicine". Then we have the alcohol, religious, prescription pusher shouting about it all starts with weed and you end up on the street with harder drugs, and then in the morning you have the local "fake hippy" f*9jtard snitching on the other dealers in town. I wanted to ask him how much he is flogging a gram of bush weed for now. In the meantime all of them were probably pissed or recovering from hangovers, pushing their own agenda's, and every single one of them was way off the mark about CBD/THC, even with the help of google, sharing links. Still a long way to go and looking forward to the journey. Haters, hypocrits and bat shit crazies eat my kief.
  24. Yeah unfortunately our local town is attracting fake hippies with dreads, who belittle others at their own game. Sad to see the business people who dont even grow or smoke get involved in cannabis, but it was inevitable, and I guess the development of the industry in a professional way. I have unfortunately and finally taken that stance. I loved helping others for many years and probably still will. But yeah, if you not paying me to live my life, I cannot help. Very sad experience recently with one of our local canna groups, like a loving dog that gets beaten when it goes to its owner, finally decided to distance myself and move along swiftly. But bottomline is to canna life you want to live, dont pay tax, grow what you want, plant it everywhere and if you dont like cannabis, you wont like the future.
  25. Cant disagree with your words, and yes it is a great local community. Watching overseas is like watching the future of SA though, about 5 years ahead. I used to say 10 years, but that gap is closing. But it is also the world, it seems countries watch developments in the USA and adapt their policies after. Hoping to get to the USA soon, just wish this pandemic would blow over. Stay safe.
